I could have swore I had reviewed this location before, like last year. But things are a blur when you stop at multiple locations of any given store. Maybe it's just because Arundel Mills is such a large mall that you forget where you have visited when you stop in here. After stopping in other stores looking at Lego kits I eventually made it here and did a once over in the store. I checked to see if they had certain kits and wanted to compare prices. I will say, that some prices are better at other stores that just carry the kits than this actual store. It was packed in here, almost to the brim. Which made browsing a bit difficult. However, if you aren't in the mood to go on a scavenger hunt, you can ask one of the many sales associates on the floor. I will say, they are very knowledgeable about what is available and where exactly in the store it is. I found what I wanted and made my way to the register. The guy at the register was very helpful and patient. He asked me what my rewards was and I had to take a minute to figure it out. Instead of relaying the information and confirming what it was, he just handed me his handheld and I was able to get the information in there for him. Came here to get a gift for a family member. This Lego Store location was chock full of inventory to cater to any Lego fan's preference (Disney, Star Wars). The staff were very pleasant and eager to answer any questions. The value is subjective: as a Lego fan, what is your price point to pay for an item you really want. Great LEGO store. We were transported instantly back to childhood and enjoyed browsing all the sets available. From small to super expert and everything in between. They had an option to customize a LEGO character how you want, design the logo on it and print it out. Super fun! Great customer service and fantastic selection. Five stars! read more

This location is small, but has A LOT to choose from. I came here with my son so he could pick out a birthday gift, and he definitely left happy. The staff is really friendly and helpful. The store is easy to shop. I can easily see why Lego is so addictive. They have a bunch of licensed merchandise and have really come a long way from when I was a kid. The car my son picked out has a working steering wheel, and moving pistons. Also has its own suspension system, which is just crazy! It's definitely an expensive long term hobby, but so are most things these days. read more

Man have we spent way too much money here or what?! ... ... And it's worth every penny! Every time we come here, the staff is pleasant, engaging, and clearly enjoy what they do. There always seems to be a freebie with purchases, and the kids love seeing everything first hand, especially the displays that literally bring the walls of boxes to life. There is a massive selection for literally the entire family. Old-school basic sets? Check. Adults welcome? Check. Robots and Technics? Check. Every little girl's favorite set? Check. LEGO has gotten really expensive since I was a kid and you'll find that proven here at the Lego store in Arundel Mills. Lots of licensed stuff, including the Star Wars themed Legos and many others. Store is inside the mall and has a lot of assortments although it's not the biggest store I've been in. Came to look for a gift for my son, and while he didn't get anything my daughter did. The sales rep was kind enough to give both my kids a magazine each and checked in on us while shopping to make sure we were doing okay. Appreciated that. read more

This Lego store has the most attentive and friendly employees ever!! One let my son help put together a part of a display he was building. He was so sweet & told my guy that he would see the display and know he had helped to create it! He's only 4 so this totally made him happy. The employees really take time to talk with the customers, and have helped us spend more time and money than we should have! Only suggestion is that they do whatever it takes to get more options at their mini-fig station! We love to stop into the store every time we go to the mall. We haven't made it to any of their workshops yet, but the store holds regular workshops for "kids" of all different ages- some are even totally free!! LOVE having the Lego store so close by, and the employees at this location are fantastic! read more

I love this store. Every time I go, no matter how busy it is, I'm greeted as soon as I walk in. I don't buy something every time, but when I do, I typically buy the "fancy" town buildings or Marvel kits. The employees all seem happy; which I suppose makes sense. I imagine working with the awesomeness that is Lego is more fun than other shops. When I'm there and checking out a kit closely, someone usually comes up to point out their favorite part of it and start engaging with me. They have a little play area for kids, a build your own mini fig (set of three for $10), and bulk bricks for sale. Something for all ages! read more

What a great store and a great idea for a store. I've taken my daughter into the Lego Store a few times when my wife wants to get some shopping done. My daughter and I will just there and start putting stuff together and the employees are always nice and willing to help. A few occasions a couple of the employees were helping my daughter build something she wanted to build. They sat with her for a good 15 minutes helping her so I can continue to play with the Lego's my self. I always end up walking out of here with something, either for me or for my daughter. We live about 1.5 hours away from the Arundel Mills Lego store, my son and I love coming to the store every January to buy the new modular set. We brave the Baltimore/DC traffic a couple other times throughout the year for store events and special purchases. The store is larger than other mall venues and very brightly lit. April and her staff are extremely knowledgeable about the products, very friendly and helpful, and concerned with your Lego experience. Thanks again for making my sons day, AGAIN! read more

The store itself is great... But the Lego company is barely what it used to be. Where are all the kits that you actually have to build from scratch? It's a shame that everything they sell now is a total of ten large pieces you just snap together, dumbed down for the kids that would otherwise loose interest and snap their attention back to the TV. read more

This would have been a 2 star review had it not been for the last minute save by the cashier and the ease of signing up for the LEGO VIP card. My son was an early Brickmaster (now Master Builder Academy). 1/2 of his bedroom is LEGO kits he has built or created from bulk LEGOs I bought on Ebay. For his 11th birthday he wanted to go to Medieval Times and the LEGO store. When we got to the store, I checked in on Foursquare and saw there was a newbie special, an alien LEGO brick, I showed him and he was stoked. The store was crowded and it took me a little while to find a sales associate. She quickly informed me that they hadn't honored that special in over three months. Err, LEGO, perhaps you should do a little better monitoring your social media channels. I overheard an associate say that the classroom isn't being used as much anymore due to some problems. If they turned it into selling space, it would double the size of the store. We would up buying a kit and some mini-figs that my son put together. Lower your expectations and you won't experience the kind of let down that we did. read more

Lego released the UCS Millennium Falcon set early on Thursday morning, but the entire experience was a disaster. It wasn't the official release. That's still happening on October 1st. Lego initiated a pre-sale event that included a limited amount of UCS Millennium Falcon sets. But overall the experience wasn't one of joy, it was a nightmare for anyone trying to order online. From site crashes to glitches with your cart, the general feeling from Lego fans regarding the ordeal was not good. How are they going to handle the official release (Chaos is my guess)? Lego should watch how PlayStation, XBOX and the other console makers do their launches. Give out tickets before opening and then let everyone else figure out how they are going to get the set. 10 Sets for this large store is STUPID. So I finally got my order placed for the Lego UCS Millennium Falcon. But Lego Shop wouldn't allow saved points to be applied to my order. Also, I had a coupon that I got from the lego store that stated FREE Express Saver Shipping but the Express shipping was not free it was $120.00. However, the level below that was free which is (3-8) business days not express (1-2) business days. I have a set that is order but I have no idea when I will receive it. My credit card has a pending charge but no actual charge. I have an email receipt for the items. I guess they won't charge me until it ships. In short, the whole experience was rotten even for those who were actually able to purchase. read more

This store was the reason we came to this mall. My kids absolutely loved the pick a brick wall, and getting to see all the sets in one place was amazing. The play area was fun and the staff knowledable and friendly. We live over an hour away, but will come back as a special treat for the kids! read more

Okay I will be honest I became 5 as soon as I walked in. Now we were just walking around the mall nothing really but as soon as we walked in. The 5 year old in me and my other friend came out. Now there is three of us. Now we went to that back wall where you find those pieces you beg your parents for. That little round grey piece. Or the wedge for that door that's been half off since first grade. (Don't you dare lie you know it's crooked) As we are leaving out our friend left us but hell we found a small table where you can build anything. Yes OK there was two kids at the other one and we looked so wrong playing with the set. But come on its a Lego making area. So we took turns putting piece by piece on. We didn't want to help each other but f it. Once again I say it's a Lego building set. So I can't come back at risk of looking weird. But if anyone wants to go you know just to build I'm down. Still I needed that little round piece . Didn't know they even made them. Now I feel cheated out of my Lego building experience. Hmmmm forget it I will be going back. read more

It's great to see fully built kits and the other extra models that the store has put together. Really helps the imagination. The only reason this is a 4-star and not a 5-star review is because the store isn't is only a few years old, but it's obviously seen a lot of foot traffic. As a mom of 3 master builders-we LOVE lego, but this store in particular is just magical. A recent trip there was made the best visit ever by a staff member named Alissa. She had the very last box of exactly what we needed and was so friendly. As a practice, I avoid malls, but I will brave the mall for this store. This is one of the coolest LEGO stores I have ever been in! If you are or have a LEGO enthusiast in your family, you will definitely want to visit. This location has a LEGO Education Center, where you can leave your child in a class for an hour to learn and play and build, and they won't even miss you! Family Nights are also awesome. This store always has a great variety of sets, and the associates are always friendly, knowledgeable, and super helpful. You can tell they really love their job! The Pick-A-Brick Wall is always a favorite, and it's fun to find little bricks and elements from which you can create your own masterpiece. Since Arundel Mills Mall is SO huge, it also offers a great rest area for the kids to play for awhile at their Master Builder Bar, perhaps as a reward for having been dragged around shopping all day. :0) read more

i called this store because i had been thinking for months where to have my sons next birthday party. sooooo...... you get 1hr for 10 kids for $250.00 but, no cake or food of any kind inside the store. uhhummm .. what a let down. their suggestion is to eat in the food court when you are done with the party. ? suggestion to lego you would do well to change this food policy and extend the party to 2hrs. read more

I came in here on a whim looking for a gift for my friends childs. I had no idea what I was going to get but thanks to Bailey, she quickly answered any questions I had and helped me find the right toy. She was honestly such a great help and offered such amazing customer service that I was honestly surprised and did not expect to walk out of there successfully. You can't miss this store. It's the only store in the mall that doesn't sell shoes or cell phones. It's also the only reason to go to Arundel Mills. The staff is incredibly friendly. The night that I was there they were all going to see the premier of the new Avengers movie. They told me the company does that sort of thing for team building. I like to patronize businesses that treat their employees right. They have nearly every Lego set in production. Many of them are assembled and on display, which is cool to see. I just got my five year old into Legos, and I'm probably enjoying it more than he is. I'm sure I will be spending a lot at this store. I wish Lego chose Columbia Mall for this store, as really the only other thing to do at Arundel Mills is to lose your life savings at the casino or have what's left stolen from you on the parking lot, but I won't blame the store or employees for that. read more
