The employees are so nice. Lots of pretty things and clothing. Gift certificates are always a good gift.

A family member bought on 21 November 2022 a watch as a Christmas gift from Grogan Jeweler by Lon…read morein Florence, Alabama. The watch was not on sale and it was not discounted. It was paid fully at the time of purchase. Because of another family member's untimely death, we decided to return the watch so we could use the money instead to help cover the cost of the funeral expenses. We tried to return the watch on 08 December 2022. Lon, the owner of Grogan Jewelers by Lon, refused to take it back. She said that we were 2 days late in returning the item. She said that they have a 14-day return policy. She added that it was clearly stated on the receipt that we have. We explained to her that we were not told at the time of purchase that there was a 14-day return policy. We also informed her that our purchase receipt does not say anything at all about her store return policy. She then said that it would be up to her salesperson who sold us the watch to make the decision if it could be returned. We called the salesperson while we were in the store. The salesperson refused our return request. We explained that we have been in Florida for the last 3 days arranging shipping of the body of the deceased back to Tennessee and we could show the person's death certificate if needed. The salesperson said she was sorry about the death but she could not take the watch back. She instead told me to sell it. At this point in time, I asked Lon if she would make an owner's decision to make an exception to accept our item back. We also said that we would be even willing to pay a restocking fee and the salesperson's commission as the money from returning the watch would greatly help in the funeral expenses of the deceased. I explained again that we were not told at the time of purchase about their return policy. We also said that their return policy was not stated at all in our receipt. Lon, the owner of Grogan Jeweler by Lon, refused. We left the Florence store with heavy hearts and could not believe what just happened. To the owner Lon, all that I can say is that we shall reap what we sow.

My husband and I went to pick out our wedding bands at Grogan Jewelers. I also was looking to get…read moremy grandmother's ring, which I was given as my engagement ring, resized and cleaned up. I was also told it needed to be fixed, as some of the prongs holding the diamond in were coming loose. I was told it could take anywhere from 1-4 weeks for the bands, and the ring, well, the jeweler will be back on Tuesday to give you a quote on a cost. To his credit, the jeweler was wonderful. I got my quote and was told it would probably be ready by Monday. Monday rolls around and it's not ready but that's okay. I understand delays happen, and it's not like I need the ring right this minute. I say thanks and on goes my day.. The next day I get a similar phonecall, but it's still fine, I get it. The third day past due, my husband gets a call that the rings are ready and they're ready for pick up. He asks if it's all three. "Three? Um, there's only two." No, there are two bands and an engagement ring. "No, I only see two bands here. I don't see any engagement rings here. Let me look for the order I'll call you back." So he looks. And he can't find it. Calls back. Some stern words are had regarding the fact that yes, we dropped of a ring for repairs and it should be there. Keep in mind, this is my grandmother's ring. She is deceased. I have no words for how upset I was during this whole exchange. Eventually they call back. They found it. The order should be complete "tomorrow" No phone call that next day. The following day I called back and was told yes, two rings are here for you. I swear, I think I blacked out for a second. Grogan, get your act together before you give someone a heart attack. To the jeweler's credit, the ring fits great and looks amazing. The rest of you all can go get some training in how to deliver customer service without taking years off people's lives.

We had a lot of details. Special prayers, a glass of Merlot (her favorite) and a toast to her and pouring some Merlot on her grave in her honor. (We both wore special pieces of jewelry and gave us as 10 year olds and teenagers through later on in life , some of which we made into more modern pieces). Then more prayere then enjoying a meal at one of our favorite restaurants that Momma loved, too, Fulin's, where sweet Miss Vivian works as a manager. Long story short. Getting home from this emotional and beautiful day I noticed the top of Momma's class ring was missing. It wasn't a traditional class ring with a stone it was more of a crest. I had had the ring for decades and only worn it a few times before damaging it. I was so sad. Enter Osborne's. They made her ring better than it was before and just delighted my heart! I can't thank you Osborne's adequately for being kind, professional and really loving their customers as we honor the lives of loved ones who have gone before us. Thank you so very much! Your creativity and skill is beyond compare and is gratefully appreciated. Consistently so! Thank you Osborne's!
