The employees are so nice. Lots of pretty things and clothing. Gift certificates are always a good gift.

Designs in Paper is a legendary full service custom designed stationary company for all occasions…read morebut I recently stumbled into DIP at a variety of bridal shows this last winter. Let me tell you! They come up such creative pieces for any wedding invitation suite, programs, escort cards, and more! I've seen games on the backs of programs, 3D invitations, etc. They also offer free consultations and will bring concept designs with them based on your initial conversations!

My fiance and I first encountered Designs in Paper at the Nashville Pink Bridal show last month. We…read morewere immediately sold and wanting to pursue working with them after we both saw how they went above and beyond basic stationary, by creating fun little extras that wen with the wedding theme and couple. Such things include activity sheets for children and paper fortune tellers (you remember, from when you were growing up). So we decided to give them a basic run down of what we were looking for, and see what they could come up with to show at our first meeting. Well, our first meeting was February 7th (they are really popular it seems) and we were not disappointed. They took our idea for a japanese/jewish/southern style wedding and ran with it and while I will admit that they misspelled my fiance's first name, they made up for it by coming up with a preliminary example that was, in my opinion at least, just a hair shy of what we were looking for. The example had a beautiful, pink, East Asian motif that though it seemed to me more Chinese than Japanese, was definitely heading in the right direction. We look forward to seeing what they can do, now that we have met with them and gotten a chance to know each other better, I have high hopes for how far they can take our ideas and run with them. We are even having them do our Ketubah, as we found one we liked online, but we can't get it in the text format that we want, and will make it easier to read. So instead we gave them a printout of the design and another of the type of text print out we are looking to do to give them a better idea of what we were looking for. I am really excited to see where they take it in the coming months.

I got my wedding invitations made at PSI and had a lot of trouble getting communication back via…read morephone or email. My invitations were pretty simple but I did want a map of the area on the back as our reception is travel themed.. the map gave us a lot of trouble picking the right one and getting the contrast just right and I was unaware until about 6 proofs in that each proof was $10. In the end I got my invitations and the last detail I had added, "dinner and dancing" instead of "reception to follow" was not done but I was just so ready to be done I didn't get it changed. The invitations are pretty none the less but I think I could have ordered online with less stress and for probably less money...

I noticed they had…read moreJon Hart and I was interested in possibly buying a piece for a gift as I have some already. The sales lady kept coming over to where we were which was nice at first until....... I asked her how long the monogram would take and she stated the time. I told my relative I needed the gift before the allotted wait time and I may have to just get my daughter to get it in Texas THIS TIME because a store close to her can monogram Jon Hart in the store. The sales lady jumped in the conversation between my relative and I, seemed extremely offended after hearing me say this and said she'd never heard of that, and made another derogatory comment. Then we overhear her talking about us to another coworker at the stationary desk!! At least wait until someone leaves the store before! I absolutely would have bought something or even on my next visit to Florence as I come once or twice a month, but I was extremely disappointed in the lack of professionalism shown.
