Anthony starting playing football when he was nine years old. He played other sports throughout his youth including baseball, soccer, wrestling, but football was his true love. Each year he was required to have a "pre-participation sports physical." Heart examinations were not part of this annual process. Anthony's HCM might have been detected when he had an EKG in conjunction with surgery on his finger, but there no detection of his heart problem then either. Though EKGs are required in surgery, 10% of people with HCM have normal EKGs. Apparently, Anthony must have been in that 10%. Young, strong and a dedicated athlete, Anthony never complained of any symptoms. Sadly, his perfect health was an illusion.

( see Wikipedia for-their most interesting story) On January 3rd , 3 young people Maria, Roberto, and Rachel - Training Brand Ambassador, stood outside by a folding table for 8 hours requesting passerby's and shoppers for donations of monitory collection as well as new children's toys for a supply drive. Operation backpack gives children in need, one filled with supplies. A sign noting various packages of support for their hotline was also posted along with a chalk board noting how kids die everyday from neglect. On it was a goal chart and notation of forms of payments including cash, card, Apple Pay and Google Pay. The support and knowledge provided by the AA cannot be overstated; they are literally a beacon in the horrific darkness which ALZ is. Recently, my Mom has been diagnosed with ALZ, too; ironically, she still leads a support group in NV for caregivers. So now, we will be moving Mom to AZ with us, and are as comfortable as can be knowing what this diagnosis entails, we are glad to know that AA is here to offer resources, support, outreach, and most importantly, funding research for a cure for this cruel and relentless disease. They are a 501C3 non profit organization, and welcome donations and volunteers. The Walk to End Alzheimer's is one of their biggest fundraisers and is held in many cities nationally. - Currently, someone receives an ALZ diagnosis every 3 seconds in the world; - 500,000 new cases are reported in the US alone annually; - one in 10 people age 65 and older has ALZ; - there are 5.8 mIllion people in the US with ALZ; Until there is a cure, there is the AA.

My mom had signed up for Science Care back in 2011. She was in good health at the time and a sound…read moremind. She wanted to make sure there was no burden on her children. My mom was divorced and even with that my father had proceeded her in death, along with my sister. So it was just me In 2018 my mom was diagnosed with dementia. She ended up living with my husband and I at that point. She lived well up until this last year when she was in her final stages of dementia. Even with this she would remind me of her wishes. My mom was in memory care her last few months. Then last month she started really going downhill. Refusing met medications and eating. The doctor recommended hospice as she dropped a lot of weight very quickly. We had expected at least a month before she would start the death process. It was actually only a few days. When she passed we called science care and they were there within an hour after she passed. The gentleman was very caring and explained it all to me. Within two days her death certificate was available for me to pick up. Once she arrived in their Long Beach location from MaderA, CA they contacted me to let me know that it would be 4 to 6 weeks once they assessed her and determined where her donation would be best for their research. About 3 weeks later we were called and mom's cremains were ready to be sent back to the family. We received her cremains 4 weeks after her passing in a simple black box with a ribbon around it. We never had to provide any money for this process. What a huge relief for our family. We are having a memorial at the school she dedicated her career to for 32 years. A tree and a bench is being dedicated in her honor. After which my self and her grandchildren and great grandchildren will spread her ashes into the Ocean outside of Catalina Island as per her wishes. Legally done of course. I am deeply grateful for Science Care for making this process worry free for me and my family. Thank you....

After the initial donation was completed, they scheduled the delivery of my families ashes in a very nice container .
