We were running about…read more10-15 minutes late (as happens with kids), but the photographer Jonathan was incredibly understanding, patient, and professional from the start, which immediately put us at ease. Working with a family of four that includes both young children and a teenager isn't always easy, but they handled it effortlessly. They gave clear direction for posing without making anything feel forced, and they were great at engaging the kids to get genuine smiles instead of stiff, awkward shots. Our teenager, who usually isn't thrilled about photos, actually ended up enjoying the session, which says a lot. The photographer really knew how to use the beach setting to capture beautiful, natural moments. The lighting, angles, and timing all felt very intentional, and it shows in the final images. We ended up with a great mix of posed shots and candid moments that truly reflect our family. Overall, we couldn't be happier with how everything turned out. Future MIL wanted to get family photos, and we got SO. MUCH. MORE!!!! We started before sunset, which was gorgeous and Jan knew all the best angles and how to catch the best light. Every side is your good side when Jan's behind the camera. She took photos of the entire fam and individual couples (future MIL and FIL, fiancé and I, fiancé's sister and her husband). It was family photos, maternity photos (fiancé's sister is expecting), AND.....SURPRISE ENGAGEMENT PHOTOS!!!
