While waiting, I experienced a severe hyperventilating episode where my body locked up and became numb--on top of the reason I originally came in--and was simply told to "breathe in and out slowly." This was an extremely frustrating and unacceptable experience.

However, they will run a CT scan and tell you that potentially you have a cyst on your liver that's been growing since 2015 potentially causing the problems... But they will give you nothing for pain. They will tell you to leave and make an appointment with your primary care or a Gastro doctor. Well adding fire to the situation we went to the urgent care Wellstar urgent care Monday went to Wellstar ER today because WellStar urgent care told us that's where we should go if things got worse. Guess what Wellstar urgent care did nothing also the people that work in that ER are rude and nasty individual individuals. Told me exactly what urgent care told me make an appointment with a G.I. doctor. Well... Genius ER workers told you we couldn't get an appointment for a month out and you still couldn't do anything to help me. The nurses are for the most part nice the doctors they could give a crap less about you or your condition my mom 73 years old they treated her like she was a drug seeker, even though she has a cyst on her liver that has grown since the last time she had one and again was told that that could be the problem, but they can't schedule a stat MRI because that's not their problem. Unless you have a gunshot wound or having a heart attack or bleeding profusely on their floor, they treat you like your issue isn't a problem like You are a problem. While I realize they deal with a lot of different people on a daily basis. And I can understand that you get tired of it... But go get another job. I

Worst experience with a medical center. So my husband had a severe side effect to a pain medication…read morehe was taking after having ACL surgery. It caused him to not be able to open his eyes and he described it as pins and needles in his eyes. We went to the ER around 5:30 AM and they helped him into a wheelchair as he couldn't see or walk. That was the only positive experience about this place. After sitting there for about an hour my husband became very uncomfortable/ in pain due to his leg position (again just had surgery 3 days prior). I asked if there was anything they could do about helping to position his leg differently such as rolled up towels or something to help prop his leg up. Their response was- "No we don't have anything else". They made no effort to assist him. Mind you he is now in immense pain from his eyes and his leg. A little while later he became very thirsty and we left the house in such a rush that we didn't even think about bringing a drink with us. I asked the nurse if they had some water they could give to him. Their response- "no we don't have any down here". I looked at her like she was crazy and honestly she acted like I was in the wrong for my facial expression. I took my two small children home and came back to sit with my husband. After I got there he was in so much pain that I asked the nurse what the process is and how long we could expect to wait. She said she couldn't give a wait time but that there was a patient there that had a wait time of 9 hours I understand that ER's are busy and there is always going to be a wait. That is not the issue here. Upon hearing this and seeing my husband in tears I rolled him right on out. Meanwhile the nurse in the background is saying (in a very rude tone) "where are they going?" I told her we were leaving and I could just see the eye rolls. We had to go down the street to Wellstar urgent care to get better assistance in which they recommended us go to an eye doctor. They asked why we left the ER and when I told them what happened they were absolutely floored. I have never in my life experienced such terrible treatment or experience from medical personnel. They took no time to get up from their chairs to assist. I would not recommend going here. I would drive the extra 40 minutes to Kennestone any day over this terrible place. I am not one to write many reviews or speak badly of others, however, people need to know what kind of treatment they are in for when coming here. Save yourself some time and trouble by going somewhere that will actually care for you and get up out of their chair to assist patients.

My impression is that Dr. Cheeks is going it on his own here and limits the hours so he can handle the patient workload. If you only need a doctor once or twice a year, can plan weeks in advance, then I HIGHLY recommend them. Personally I work a 7-5 job 5 days a week. This means I can only make an appointment on Tuesdays between 6-7 which requires weeks of planning before-hand. It just not practical for me but if you can work it in your schedule, they are a great office to use.

During the pandemic they have a "text line" that they have you text messages to because there is nobody at the office to answer the phone, but when they don't answer you throught the "text" appointment, there is nobody to call, you just get a recording to say "text us". Although my brother's original doctor was chosen as Dr Cheeks, it seems that we are always scheduled to see someone else....that is back when they were operational. I have paperwork needed for my brother to go to a care home and I can't get the paperwork to the doctor for them to fill out. The whole system is cold, uncaring and rediculous.

I just moved from Florida and needed a few forms to register my child into the GA school system. I was able to call and easily schedule my child's appointment over the phone. They did mention to bring any medical records and immunization records to my appointment so I made sure to be prepared. The night before, they called to confirm our appointment and also to make us aware of the price to transfer immunization records ($5) and price for nutrition/dental/vision/hearing ($40). We arrived at 8:01a (opens at 8:00am) and our appointment was scheduled for 8:15am. I walked up the the window "clinical services" and checked in with a very sweet lady who was very helpful. She had me complete a form and provide the immunization records. Thankfully since they were current, she was able to use most of the information and my child only needed to perform a hearing test ($7). The wait wasn't long at all and another sweet lady, Darlene called us back and performed the hearing test. The examination room was very clean. The entire facility was very nice, clean and spacious. They even had a Disney moving playing on a huge flat screen in the waiting room. There was a security guard on duty and he was pleasant as well. They do accept debit/credit cards for payment. Overall wonderful experience and was out in less than 30 minutes.
