The provider said my throat "looked like tonsillitis with exudate," but admitted she wasn't sure what I had -- mentioning it could be mono, strep, or tonsillitis. My strep test was negative, yet I was still prescribed amoxicillin based only on what it "looked like." The visit lasted about 10 minutes, and I was told to come back if symptoms worsened. After 4 days on amoxicillin, my symptoms got worse, not better. I developed a severe cough keeping me up at night, my voice became hoarse again, and my throat and chest pain increased. I returned on Thursday and explained everything, including that I am cash pay and had just been there days earlier. I was told I still had to pay $50 plus more for prescriptions. The second provider was rude and dismissive, cut me off while I was explaining my symptoms, and defended the first prescription instead of listening. She admitted she also didn't know what I had, saying it "could be anything" and made an inappropriate political comment about viruses, verbatim stating "well trump put all these viruses out there so I don't know what you have", which was completely unprofessional. No one addressed my throat pain, chest pain, hoarseness, nausea, or worsening cough in a meaningful way. The visit again felt rushed (under 10 minutes). When I received my discharge paperwork, my diagnosis was listed as "acute cough and nasal congestion", which is not why I came in. None of my main symptoms were documented. I already have a weakened immune system, and being given medications based on guesses rather than proper evaluation is unacceptable. Between the cost, lack of clear diagnosis, dismissive care, and poor documentation, this was a horrible experience. I would not recommend this urgent care to anyone.

My husband has had to return to the facility three times for appointments because he was given incorrect dates and because no one knew what kind of blood work had been ordered. GOOD EXPERIENCE: My primary care physician, Dr. Ara, is terrific. So is her PA, Sara, who continues to coordinate with other doctors and labs for me. Wait times for appointments in this department are short. Beware seniors! Be ready for confusion and misstatements. Also be prepared for long wait times for lab work.

They give u a 10 minute grace period for being late, but if u're later than 10 minutes, they recommend that u cancel and make a new appointment. Lucky for me, i didn't get a ticket driving there! Everyone there is super nice and professional. I had to wait about 15 minutes to be serviced, but it was expected since I was late. I really like this office cuz I can get my labs drawn right in the same office and not have to go somewhere else! The phlebotomist was awesome as well! He was able to get my blood with just 1 poke! The providers didn't seem to listen or validate what I was experiencing. Communication was also poor. I left a voicemail and didn't receive a timely callback, and when I finally did, the response came across as rude and unsupportive. Overall, it felt more focused on getting patients in for additional visits than actually providing quality care. What makes this more frustrating is that my husband and I had just established care here and completed physicals on the family practice side. I rarely have medical issues and try to handle things the right way, so this experience was disappointing. I'll be continuing care with another office who actually listens, and my family will be finding a new primary care provider and urgent care moving forward.

They claim they can't list me by my actual first name, because it's abbreviated on my insurance card. My insurance knows it's abbreviated and they have my full legal name. And even if their system is that complicated, there's no preferred name option? Really? So they will refer to me as a single letter instead of my actual name. I've never run into this problem before at a medical provider office and I've been to many using the same insurance card. Imagine being taken back to have a procedure done under anesthesia and the assistant you've never met tries to greet you but doesn't know what to call you because your name is missing on your paperwork, and it's just a letter. Imagine they try to call your driver back after you're done, and they don't know what to announce. Imagine you get texts after your procedure, referring to you as a single letter instead of your first name. That's exactly what happened, and I was really surprised. It's poor customer service. It creates confusion and discomfort when you're already in a vulnerable position. I work at a medical office and I can't imagine treating a patient like that. It's such a basic standard to call people by their name. I let the office know my concern and they said they can't do anything about it. I'll go elsewhere next time.

And got a call from a collection agency and they are trying to collect the amount. Call doctor office back and told them and they said they would have someone investigate it and get back to me. Looks like I might have to file a complaint with the AZ attorney general office that they are trying to extort money from me. My insurance company said that I do not own them anything. Stay away from them unless you want trouble.

Use this as a massive warning! (And I am seeing others comment in these reviews similarly.) Circumstance 1: I went in to the Urgent Care for a UTI and was charged, using insurance, $812.00 just for a dip stick urine test and under a 2 minute doctor consultation to write me an RX. My insurance paid $7.37 total because they said that is the cost of a test. That makes sense. So what is left is costing me over $400 a minute for help for face to face care with a doctor. Circumstance 2: I went to the same Urgent Care (didn't have the bill for the previous one, otherwise I would not have gone) for bronchitis and a sinus infection. Again, heart rate, bp, and a stethoscope to my chest was all that was done, in addition to the prescription to take to a local pharmacy (no xrays or anything like that). This one was charged $528...so over $150 per minute to be face to face with a doctor. Both times I went, I was the ONLY patient in the waiting room (and didn't see one in the main part of the rooms). It's not like I was at a high peak time even. Why weren't others there...probably because they have read so many poor reviews unlike I did. I was telling this with a friend of mine and she told me that this happened to her as well (same location for an ear infection), resulting in an outlandish bill, so I am not the only person that this has happened to. I have called many times to get them to recode/adjust trying to dispute it even asking for the self payout, and they are not budging.They are standing behind their stomach-dropping fees. I will also say, I have gone to this location other times in past years for the same issues and never received such outlandish bills. It's as if they are treating this like an emergency room (and with my multiple phone calls the billing department employees keeps saying "ER"). After getting checked in for a possible broken elbow, vitals were taken and MD examined. We were told the xray tech was in with someone and we would be next. We sat there for over an hour (I can't imagine one set of X-rays took an hour). X-rays were finally taken in less than 5 mins. Then after sitting another 30 mins, I asked how long it would be until someone could look at the xray. I was told "this is the part that takes a while" and that I "was lucky they were still on the day schedule because the night time wait time can be up to 4 hours." We waited about 20-30 mins then asked again how long it would be. They couldn't give me a TAT so we got up and left. We were there for over 2.5 hours to have 3 X-rays taken. And who knows how much longer it would have taken to have someone read the X-rays. I don't believe there were a large number of patients there at the time. The parking lot only had a few cars, waiting room was empty and the nurses desk outside the exam room had the same nurses/techs/MDs sitting there our entire wait. Their website says little to no wait. How healthcare should be. That was not my experience at all.
