If I could leave 0 stars I would! Yes, the staff is nice (very nice even, and a clean place) BUT I will never step foot in there simply because of their outlandish hidden pricing for an Urgent Care that IS IN my network. Use this as a massive warning! (And I am seeing others comment in these reviews similarly.) Circumstance 1: I went in to the Urgent Care for a UTI and was charged, using insurance, $812.00 just for a dip stick urine test and under a 2 minute doctor consultation to write me an RX. My insurance paid $7.37 total because they said that is the cost of a test. That makes sense. So what is left is costing me over $400 a minute for help for face to face care with a doctor. Circumstance 2: I went to the same Urgent Care (didn't have the bill for the previous one, otherwise I would not have gone) for bronchitis and a sinus infection. Again, heart rate, bp, and a stethoscope to my chest was all that was done, in addition to the prescription to take to a local pharmacy (no xrays or anything like that). This one was charged $528...so over $150 per minute to be face to face with a doctor. Both times I went, I was the ONLY patient in the waiting room (and didn't see one in the main part of the rooms). It's not like I was at a high peak time even. Why weren't others there...probably because they have read so many poor reviews unlike I did. I was telling this with a friend of mine and she told me that this happened to her as well (same location for an ear infection), resulting in an outlandish bill, so I am not the only person that this has happened to. I have called many times to get them to recode/adjust trying to dispute it even asking for the self payout, and they are not budging.They are standing behind their stomach-dropping fees. I will also say, I have gone to this location other times in past years for the same issues and never received such outlandish bills. It's as if they are treating this like an emergency room (and with my multiple phone calls the billing department employees keeps saying "ER"). I have driven by the place to make sure it didn't change to an ER and I mistakenly didn't notice, but the sign on the building (and the website) says Urgent Care. I am NOT trying to get out of paying for my services, but I will stand up for what is "right" and announce to many what a horrible company they have become. Seems like the only thing I can do is leave a bad review, notify the news company, file a complaint with the department of health, in addition to my insurance company (Blue Cross) knowing. Went in with 8-9/10 pain, throwing up and nearly screaming out of pain. They took me back, immediately asked me if I smoke marijuana and I was honest about my daily use, not knowing they'd go on to make it all about that. They misdiagnosed me with CHS which made no sense to me because of the cause and type of pain I was having. They only gave me fluids and one dose of pain meds. No further testing. Needless to say the next morning I was in the Banner ER where they did an ultrasound and CT scan, easily finding out I had actually experienced a ruptured ovarian cyst. I have blood in my ovaries and abdomen that Dignity would've seen if they listened to me correctly. Shame on them! read more

Let me add to the fire!!! My daughter had an ear infection. Went to see them, because we "thought" they were basically the same as the NextCare we usually go to in SE Gilbert. Wow, were we wrong!!! Place was dead slow. Walked in. Filled out some forms, and gave my insurance. Short wait (promising). Nurse was nice, took my daughter's weight, temp, etc... Left in a room...Pay attention! This is when it all went down hill.... Doctor came in, asked 2 questions, told us to see an ENT amd wrote a script (2 to be exact) and then promptly left....Sat in the room, and nothing...No one came back, no one told us anything, and we sat there for 30 minutes (maybe longer) until I finally said forget it and walked myself back to the lobby. Told the Nurse and receptionist we were just waiting on the release/visit summary paperwork and we'd be on our way. Well...another 30 minutes later, the 1st Nurse came up and asked what was going on, we explained it to her and she was in shock! She apologized for the Dr and the crazy process (keep in mind, NO ONE ELSE WAS EVEN THERE, so they WEREN'T BUSY!). Never got the paperwork, just left and also never even got both Rx (they only fulfilled the RX for 1, per his "notes"?) WTF!!! Final insult to injury = $370!!!! We usually pay $120 (I have 'good' insurance, so WTF!) Then...I read these comments too little, too late! Just stay way...worst I have had in over 4 years living here (and that saying a LOT since my same daughter had AWESOME service from the main Chandler Regional Health Center off Dobson - she spent 58 days in the NICU - those folks worked a miracle for us)...BUT THESE PEOPLE?!?! These people are horrible. They do not care and are rude, simply collecting money is what their job is. I was treated with lack of compassion and as if I was bothering them because I wasn't dying. I had to beg for them to run tests on me to see what was wrong and the doctor asks, "do you need the test?". If I am here, I would like to know what's wrong. The receptionist comes into my room and makes me sign more stuff then leaves the room with "you'll get the bill soon". This is strictly about the billing dept. My HSA card changed and I tried to update it on the portal, but the account number that's on my bill wasn't working. I called dignity health, Jay, the first gentleman I spoke to when I explained the situation, just transferred me to somebody else without saying anything. I then got Kaylan, who I had to explain the situation to again, then he just puts me on hold without telling me he's doing so. He comes back on the line and tells me he has to transfer me... No explanation as to why or whom he's transferring me to. I ended up with Sergio, who was sort of helpful. He at least changed the card on file for my payment plan that I set up, but the account number he gave me is still not working on the portal. Just pray that you don't have any issues because they just seem to transfer you around on the phone. 45 minutes later... I hope it's done. read more

Not only have I been coming here for years with great experience, they saved my daughter's life back in 2017 when I rushed her in and they quickly confirmed she had meningitis. I've only ever dealt with the friendliest of nurses; from the front desk registration, to the back room getting vitals. Arrived at 5:30 a.m. and front desk was very nice. Went thru necessary blood pressure tests and quickly led to a room. Briefly met with the ER Doc and informed they would test for 4 viruses including Covad and texted that the results were in at 7:15 a.m. and the Dr would review and advise. After several attempts to get the nurses why it was taking so long to get the results....they said there was only 1 doc so left at 10 a.m. not knowing if I have covid or something else????? Told the nurse to Email me the results and it now 2:20 p.m and nothing. This Doc should be FIRED but I was informed previously the ER is not employed by Dignity Health but "subbed" out! Only 2 miles from my home but will never go back!!!!! Would rather drive 30 miles to Honor Health in Scottsdale....ER IS PATHETIC!!! read more

*****Billing Scams with insurance & customers*** The location itself is dingy and dirty within the lobby area. The staff at the location were very kind and helpful. After an xray the Dr. stated it was just a severe bruise. I followed up with my own primary care because my arm was still hurting. After reviewing the X-rays, I had a hairline fracture. I understand that something like that can be missed. Be warned the billing department are scam artists. I visited this location in October. Paid my urgent care co pay of $75. Two months later I receive an additional bill. I call the billing department at dignity heath and the representative stated its a coding error. This happens all the time at this location. The facility codes it as an Emergency room visit. It charges the insurance company more and they also send an additional bill to the patient to collect for the emergency room deductible. I filed a verbal dispute claim and she told me to follow up with my insurance. I checked with my insurance and they indeed coded the billing as an emergency room visit. I called Dignity Heath back obtained an email to file a written dispute in addition to a verbal dispute I had already placed that same day. I wrote up a written dispute. it is now one month later, I followed up on the claim and it was denied by Dignity Health. I called the billing department again from dignity heath with the insurance representative on the phone. The insurance company explained how the coding on the bill was Emergency room and not ER. The representative from dignity health stated he would refile the dispute but cannot guarantee anything. The insurance company cannot do anything without the company the new paperwork from Dignity Health. The insurance company informed Dignity health my bill should only be $75 dollar which is what I had already paid at the time of the visit. That is the copay for urgent care total and I should not be charged an additional $125.00. The only recourse I have is to wait for dignity heath and the insurance representative stated to contact the attorney generals office, corporation commission and the better business Bureau while I wait for Dignity Health. ****Do not do business at this location**** read more

This urgent care really is as good as it gets. It is consistently good care each time. You can create an appointment on the website and pick your time to avoid long waits. The sign in/registration process is smooth. The front staff, ma, nurses and doctors are always kind and helpful and respectful. They are efficient and are there to help you figure out the problem and get better. Waiting room is large and clean with a tv and multiple hand sanitizer stations. At intake they took our info & we asked if they could verify if they took our really good insurance & they were too lazy to even verity our insurance, she just said "yeah we most likely accept that" we let her know that "most likely" didn't work nor will it pay the bills but still no offer from her to verify if they accepted it or not. If I could give zero stars I would. I went to this place back in Sept 2022 for a toe nail that was busted and needed relief/removal. When they took me back, they looked at my toe and said it would "heal in its own time" and put a bandaid on it. I ended up having to go to another provider for nail removal. This 5 minute consult for nothing ended up costing $358. When I went to dispute the high charge, I was advised this location was considered an "emergency room" and that's why the charge was higher. Note, it does not state on the building it's an ER and they don't advise of this. I paid the balance yet they sent me to collects and I have been harassed by their third party companies to pay the debt, even though it was paid in full years ago and I still have the receipt (which I have sent to them multiple times via mail, email, and website upload). Today I received another letter to collect this debt. DO NOT GO HERE. They will overcharge, do nothing, and then harass you for payment for years. read more

This facility has imaging, CT and X-ray and possibly Ultrasound. I received excellent and comprehensive care in a timely manner by an excellent physician, RN, X-ray tech, and front office staff. The facility is very clean and well stocked. If you need care just short of a full Hospital ER, this is the place. If you are to sick for them they will quickly send you to the Hospital. Arrived early Friday morning, empty waiting room, very peaceful start. It takes three trips to get past the gate keeper. A check in, you print your name and time. I started to give I'd and insurance card, but not yet, will call you as someone was ahead of me. So is set with two people in waiting room. As I set down my name is called, I go back to same window and repeat my symptoms. Still not time for ID or insurance card. So I go back and set. Now 4 people in waiting room. My name is called again same person at different window with registration sign above. Now ID and insurance card and other questions that they verified if not from previous visit. Hint: if you had been to them in 3 or 4 years, I was told they changed systems so they may not have any record of you. Then after a wait, you are called and go in the back to the exam room; they ask your weight, I chose to be weighed (The diet is working). Then temp, blood pressure, heart beat and all the questions. This doctor I had seen before but due to the government's take over of our health care, they had a new system but no records after three years ago. Which was my last visit so you start over. The doc says they aim to please, really he ment if you do it their way. They really do not want you to come back, they just treat your symptoms, not the cause. If you take charge of your health care, they take offense. If you offend them, they just let you wait and cool your heels in the exam room. As I am let out of the penalty box, walk by four employees just standing around and the waiting room is empty; so hint, there are plenty of other urgent care in Gilbert, go here as last resort. My first experience at this location overall was good, but it could've been better. I went in for an ear cleaning to treat my impacted hearing and the procedure worked perfectly in the end; however the process took longer than anticipated with some mild discomfort in my ear, and I wanted to make sure I was treated quickly enough to get back home and tend to my daughter. I took initiative and asked one of the primary doctors walking by what the status was on my treatment, and he gave me a negative vibe and accused me of complaining about it. It made me feel misunderstood and that my discomfort wasn't important enough. The nurse who treated me was very gracious and understanding, but the doctor could've had a better attitude. I went in with a swollen lymph node. I work at a school and the school nurse said it may be strep throat. I told both the nurse and the doctor this. The doctor was horrible!! The first question he asked me was if I was around cats, did not explain why he asked this and was weird about it. He touched my neck(where the swollen lymph node was) for about 20 seconds, then told me he had no idea what it was. I again told him that I had suspicions of strep. I had to advocate for myself and pretty much argue with him to get him to give me a strep test. When swabbing my throat he barely looked at and barely swabbed my throat. He never once gave my throat or ears a look like a good doctor would. Swollen lymph nodes are a sign of infection and he dismissed me and my body. He was the WORST doctor I have ever seen in my life!!! He did not care about me or my health. I will never go back there again. read more

*** Malicious & Intentional Fraudulent Billing*** Dignity health knowingly miscodes invoices to the insurance company utilizing the emergency room coding rather than urgent care. Over charging the insurance company. Since the code is for a er , a the insurance is charged for an emergency room visit, Dignity health then charges the patient the money for an emergency room visit on the back end, forcing the patient to pay the co pay foe an emergency room. I had the insurance company on the phone with Dignity Health and the stated a dispute would be filed with coding. The representative at Dignity health stated this location does this all of the time. The only recourse the patient has is to file a dispute with dignity health , attorney general and other state agencies. Please note Dignity health has already turned this into collections. Avoid this location at all costs. They told me that my insurance would cover all but 367 of the amount they were charging and I advised that is okay because my HRA would cover the 367. To my surprise i received a bill for an additional 1500 and when i called the office they said it was emergency visit and i should expect to pay it. Apparently a less than 30 minute visit is over 1700 dollars for no X-rays, no tests and just prescription for antibiotic's. I have never even received a breakdown of the office visit. THIS IS NOT AN URGENT CARE!!! THEY WILL BILL YOUR INSURANCE AS IF YOU WENT TO AN ER!!! I was there for a grand total of FIFTEEN MINUTES earlier this year. I received ONE zofran pill, a strep test and that was it. They billed my insurance $587! After MONTHS of asking for the itemized bill I finally received it and here is what I was billed for: 1 Ondansetron 8mg (Zofran) $48 (you can get a 30 day supply online for under $11) 1 Strep test $108 (This is $25 at Walgreens) ER TYPE B LEVEL 2 $243 ER PROF FEE LEVEL 3 $188 That is $431 of ER billings for an Urgent Care visit. My Insurance is only covering about half of the bill and now I'm in a battle with Dignity Health to actually bill me appropriately. Needless to say, I will NEVER be going to another Dignity Health facility AGAIN. I even changed my midwife so I will not deliver my child at Mercy Gilbert Hospital. Because if they charge me $587 for a Strep Test, I do not want to see what they charge for a delivery. read more

We both have insurance and were charged $270 each for a simple urgent care visit. This is a service I had done early in the year for less than $105. This facility is very expensive and don't provide anything in excess as another urgent care facility. They are charging us $300 with insurance. Does this make fucking sense? No right? On top of you paying almost $1k monthly for health insurance, you have to pay your copay just because "that's how we charge urgent care visits, like ER visits". First time visit to this urgent care. Loved the option to do online appt scheduling. It made process easy. Only downside is that system kept getting stuck so it took me a few times. Urgent care had plenty of parking. It was a clean space and front desk staff was friendly. I was seen right away--less than 10 min wait. RN was friendly and recorded everything electronically. X-rays were on-site and technician was efficient and friendly. Doctor wait was minimal-- he was clear and concise with explanations. Reviewed my X-rays while in the room with me and provided additional referrals. Checkout was easy. I would come back again. Only reason for 4 vs 5 was the online system. read more

I'll start off with the positives...This location is very clean and didn't have that over sanitized smell that most med-clinics have. Following the first positive, I was in and out in 45 minutes. Now, their bedside manner is very rude and patronizing. We go to the Dr. to help identify what's ailing us, and then hopefully walk away with a plan per their recommendation that will fix the ailment. But this should also come with bedside manner. The nurse and doctor here were beyond rude. I gave them my symptoms and the information that I was given by another Dr. . The Dr. at this clinic actually said 'I didn't know what I talking about' in a very condescending way. Tried to make me feel ignorant. Mocked me a few times. Mind you, all I'm doing is trying to explain what I was told years ago by another physician. This doctor then ask to see an the area that was bothering me. And then said something very unprofessional. I followed that comment up with, you are the doctor and you can help me or I'll go somewhere else. She replied with I'll give you some antibiotics and pain meds - hopefully that helps, if not, I'm not sure what tell you. Very surprised at lack of compassion and empathy.
