They sell bottles of wine, imported olive oils, lots of (mostly European) wines by the glass, and light bites like charcuterie, small pizzas and popcorn. We've come here a few times, our dog was welcome, staff were friendly and outgoing, offering us various tabletop games like tic-tac-toe to pass the time, and once we'd both ordered a few glasses of wine, they offered us complimentary popcorn - something they normally charge for. Wines on their "by the glass" menu average about $16 each, and most staff pour them behind the bar where they have a gauge to measure out each one. The food prep area behind the bar is quite small (which is why they don't have a large menu), but so is this little gem of a wine spot in general. It's cozy, eclectic and great for a glass of wine and a small snack, or a nightcap after having dinner elsewhere. It's good for singles at the bar, or an intimate spot for couples and smaller groups. Vinoteca seems to have found their niche, and they've filled it quite nicely. That said, I'm not sure the staff, at least the ones working on the nights we've come, have a lot of knowledge about wines or are in the position to talk at length about their various selections.

While the husband is the sommelier, his wife does the food program. We weren't hungry so didn't try anything, but are looking forward to returning. This store is adequate, but certainly isn't as large as some of their other locations, and on the day we came here they were out of a few of our favorite selections. Total Wine & More often has good prices and they normally always have coupons, especially for their off-brand Winery Direct and Spirits Direct offerings, which are sometimes surprisingly good for the price, while at other times the Winery/Spirits Direct brands should be passed on due to quality, while in other cases they aren't much lower in price vs. equivalent better-known name brand items. When shopping for imported wines or higher-end brands especially, I'd suggest comparison shopping with Happy Wine in the Grove or El Carajo up the street, as both have been known to beat Total Wine at times, depending on what you're buying.
