Y'all I was so loving this place until my bill came. I ordered beef sliders for 12.95 and a lemonade for 3.00 and apparently that added up to 23.95. I was super inquisitive when ordering my sliders because Natasha the bartender was asking if I wanted the cheese lettuce tomato and onion. So I asked does that come with it and her answer was "yea if you want it." So I was like sure then I want whatever comes with it. Little did I know it's .75 up charge for each thing she asked me if I wanted and she did not relinquish that information until I asked her about my bill. Ooo bad business Natasha. I've been a bartender and a server for a long time and I know people appreciate the upfront honesty it makes your tip bigger. I was going to leave her really good tip because I was visiting the area for work and was there during the National Championship game I begged her to turn the sound on and after my second attempt she did! After I got the dang on bill and it said all of those extra add ons plus an auto generated 18% tip included. I was just ready to go. So do I recommend this place? Long Lasting Happy Hour! It was my first time experiencing "The Lobby" few days ago and honestly I really enjoyed it. This place has pretty much everything you might be looking for. Great Happy hour on all different days. They have games, hookah, good music and excellent food options. I ordered the "Shrimp Trio", switched out the rice to mashed potatoes and it was incredible. In order to reserve a table there's a minimum fee of $50, they will take down your card and charge you. However, once you get your bill that $50 charge is deducted from your bill. For a party of 3 gratuity was included on the final bill- FYI. The food was good.. the steak quesadilla was bomb, the tortilla was weird tho. It looked fake, it was super orange. The Buffalo sliders were delicious per my husband, and so were the fries. The chimichuri steak however was disappointing.. it had no flavor, no salt and no chimichuri sauce .... how do you sell a chimichuri steak without its signature sauce ? The drinks were good, no complaints there. The hookah service... is a joke, it's now $31 and there's no more refills at half price. So everytime you want a new hookah you have to pay another $31. Before, it was $30 and for the refill it was $15. In addition to the up charge, the hookah guy took 45mins to deliver our second hookah we ordered .. and it wasn't that busy that night. Management needs to put at least 3 guys outside selling hookahs, to prevent such a long waiting time. The menu labels on the table need to be replaced. 1 out of the 6 tables I visited to scan the menu, was legible. The TV screen, behind where the DJ plays, needs to get replaced. If they're charging the door, $20 for guy and $10 for girls(which is a new)... they should revisit their budget & make these replacements. The interior decor(outside) is nice, they def stepped it up. I had a mango margarita which was good. I think I'd have to go back to get the full experience aside from the taco night. The star is only for the waitress. They are beautiful. Don't go to this place. I made a reservations for Saturday night. *they give THEMSELF A 25% tip automatically to the bill* if I wanna give 25% I will give it. DONT TAKE MY MONEY WITHOUT MY PERMISSION. When I get there I'm automatically told that there's no parking in the back and I only can get the VIP valet parking that is $10 cash. FIRST OF valet means they park the car and give you a ticket. I PARKED MY OWN CAR while the dude just went to help other people. Second it's very unorganized outside. There was a regular line. And NO ONE DOES IT SAY WHERE TO GO FOR RESERVATIONS. I asked multiple people outside who worked there and said I don't know. Till finally the security said that there's a separate line. -_- which I already stood in the first line waiting Third of all the MUSIC IS EXTREMELY LOUD. I understand it's club/bar/lounge. But I lost my voice screaming and I felt deaf the next day. Fourth I was told there's hookah. But no one SAID ITS PAIF BY CASH. Even tho I spoke to someone on the phone when I made reservations. She never told me that it has to be paid with CASH ONLY. Fifth issue is I was told that each person has to spend $50 each. I already put down a deposit for one person when I was booking the reservation. And when my bill came. THEY STILL CHARGED ME FULL AMOUNT EVEN THO I WAS TOLD THE $50 deposit will be subtracted. Lidia in the bathroom was an absolute delight and she for sure made my whole experience. The security guard who was covered in the tattoos and had the cap tonight was absolutely rude and nasty for absolutely no reason. I think he absolutely ruined the vibe for my group and others in the area, He approached me with bullshit several times because i told the manager that Lidia in the bathroom was a great addition to the team. I've been to lobby several times and had different experiences every time.. during the day for the most part the service is great and servers are tentative. But when it comes to night time I have to constantly look for our server! It's really inconvenient especially since we get seated and just wait there 30min or more to order. Besides the wait to order the food is actually good and the drinks are delicious. I also come every Wednesday for the free dance classes and have a great time! The dance classes are so worth it! Ok. It's in a strange location but has a small parking lot Once inside it's totally upscale, clean and comfortable. Granted i was only here for dinner on a Thursday, but there was a great vibe with the music ( not too loud ) and a cool mix of patronage. Menu is diverse and many great options to choose from. The food (flank steak , pepper, onions, American cheese on toasted hogie) was very tasty, hot and fresh. Service was great and never had an empty drink. I and my girl Megan decided to check out The Lobby. My first impression of the lobby was that it was a strip club but I was so wrong lol!! I didnt have a cocktail but we tried then wings and they were fries perfectly and we tried the mango habernaro and Megan had the surf & turf and I had the Peruvian fried rice trio so it had shrimp, chicken and steak very flavorful with egg and onions. It's in a very convenient spot in Elizabeth NJ so when your in the area check out The Lobby. I'm definately going back. read more

Booked a section for NYE/friends bday the day before, called the day of to confirm (afternoon hours). Was told the table for 2 bottles and 4 ppl were at the top of the stairs, not really in the VIP section but a section. That wasnt enticing so I decided to up the ppl and bottles (6 ppl, 3 or more bottles), was told we would now be in VIP-bigger section, ok np. Got to the spot and we are seated at the ORIGINAL small table, at the top of the stairs, NOT IN VIP, smack-dead on the dance floor. I went to grab the table hostess and after giving me 30 seconds of her time....she's now telling me that there's no other tables available and we can't be moved. GIRL HOW?! I confirmed the table since this afternoon... They had us facing the exit and we would rather be facing the party. There was an EMPTY, identical section right behind us (facing the party), we asked her if we can swap sections and even that was an issue. So here we are getting our table bumped around and drinks getting knocked over on the dancefloor. At the end of the night, the customer service sucks AND THE UNDERTONE OF RACISM IN NJ IS PRESENT...they clearly showed that they didn't care as long as the money cleared. read more

Probably the worst dining experience we ever had...came in and we ordered drinks, Appetizer and Dinner...our drinks came out and one of our appetizer, the 2nd appetizers was forgotten. This Is one big fat lie!!!! And we cannot believe that he thinks any of this even happened...our waitress did not bring our food out (a runner did) we immediately looked for her and didn't see her, and we called another waitress to grab her...she never brought us a drink while our dinner was out and she damn sure did not come to check on us and ask us how our food was bc if she did, we wouldn't have ever had to look for her in the first place! They would not listen, the manager wouldn't even talk to the table, he dealt with the one person in our party he recognized, our waitress did it deny the fact that she never checked on us and then got upset bc we were "yelling at her" when the music was so loud there was no way she could here us over it. I came here a couple of weeks ago with a group of friends after an exam. We wanted to just have a relaxing time and destress. The food was alright, nothing really screaming "amazing" to me. I had the sliders with fries and it was good. I ordered a Moscow mule and it was nothing special about it. It tasted very watered down and when I asked the waitress if I can get it fixed, she gave me an attitude and told me I would get charged for another drink, even though I just wanted a little more ginger beer added to my drink. I was very disappointed. I usually had a good experience with lobby but everything's changed. I got a VIP package for my husband birthday. We got there at 9:45 right before the lounge hours started. Were siting in our section and like 20 minutes later they. come with the birthday sign and lights and the birthday boy was not even there yet. I told the waitress and she said well we have to bring the bottles out soon. Then for almost the whole night the staff and some of the guest used our VIP section as a walk way literally. Everyone was cutting across and once i got visually upset and started to ask the staff to walk around some of them listened most did not. To be honest, I don't know why the reviews are so bad! I had a great time when I came here Saturday night. It was around 8, lively but not too crowded. It had a lounge vibe, but it was chill. It was Halloween weekend and all the servers were dressed as Pennywise, I thought that was a great touch. We were seated quickly. Our drinks came at a decent time. Our appetizer came out with the entrees which is odd but okay. The food was piping hot. Drinks: $10-$15, average prices, not too strong, not to weak either. The frozen margarita was pretty strong though. Guacamole: the chip to dip ratio was off (more dip) but, as a guac lover, let me tell you it was DELICIOUS. Shrimp quesadilla: it's an appetizer, but my friend ordered it as her entree and it was pretty filling for her. I had a bite and it was so gooood. Very fresh. Bison burger: omg. Avocado and plantains make this burger heavenly. I savored every bite! the fries were really good too. I'm a burger lover, fry lover... they both got 5 stars from me. My friend also had a Colombian dish that I don't remember the name of: eggs, refried rice, beans, avocado, yucca, and chicarron. Pretty tasty, although the yucca was a tad try. I have gone to MANY lounges/clubs, and honestly, this place was the worst. If you decide on getting bottle service, it is so expensive. A bottle of Casamigos is $305. Have never payed that much for a middle class tequila. We were so many people and they insisted on a specific number of bottles we had to buy even though 4-5 people werent drinking. Never had that problem before. And on top of that, awful customer service. The servers are extremely rude and very uncooperative. The 1 star is for the music that I appreciated was very diverse. I have been to this bar on several occasions over the last year and it has only gotten worse. The bartenders are shitty with the worst attitude. They stand behind the bar on one side talking about the customers and will take there time serving you if you upset them. The bar also add a %15 to $18 percent gratuity for a party of one or more and it doesn't matter the amount of items you order. Definitely a Latin spot, and just ratchet lol not that ratchet is bad, but when you have 22 year olds working your staff the service isn't that great. I went with a friend and we stood by the bar for like 5 min maybe 10 with out even being acknowledged. We just wanted like one or two drinks before heading home. It was Memorial Day weekend and it was not super busy at all. The bar wasn't even full. There were a good amount of people outside so I'm not sure if the bar tenders were handling those drink orders too, but 3 bartenders is enough for a place like that. We ended up moving to a table and someone took our order. He was nice and attentive so I have no complaints about that. This was one of the worst establishments I've EVER patronized. I attempted to watch the game with my Boyfriend, but never made it pass security. The bouncers accused my boyfriend of having something in his waist, although my boyfriend allowed them to search him multiple times. When nothing was found, my boyfriend decided to peacefully leave....I waited inside while my BF went outside to get our car, and the unprofessional bouncers proceeded to make antagonistic comments about my boyfriend, in front of me. If I could leave no stars, I would. Came in yesterday for happy hour with my boyfriend and things were going great until we started being harassed by security guards. At that point, we were there for a few hours when security started to come over saying we were "causing a disturbance" as we were sitting at our table. Eventually, without a valid reason we were asked to leave. We paid the $50 bill with a $100 bill, and didn't receive my change back. Upon being kicked out, my boyfriend's shoe slipped off and when security was asked where it was nobody would say anything about where it was. Being confused, cold and frustrated with why we were kicked out, the police were called for "disturbance." How? I don't know. Security refused to give an answer where the shoe was and of course once the police showed up the shoe randomly popped up full of ketchup where someone must've took it back inside and blatantly poured ketchup all inside of it.
