This review is for the Office Tavern in terminal A. Very expensive - $14.90 for a Sierra Nevada. Wasn't even a full pint. Minus one star. They also charge 3% for something called 'Employee Benefits and Retention'. I didn't charge my 'Customer convenience fee,', don't nickel and dime me. Minus one star. On the plus side, really good selection of draft beers, including some local ones. All expensive! All I ordered was the loaded potato tots. What I got were more like croquettes. For an airport restaurant, with ridiculously high prices for everything -especially beer and all food - out of all the restaurants here at Newark airport , the Office Tavern provides the best variety, local flavor in breweries and food items like breakfast with NJ Taylor roll and hanger steak(!) on the menu. They also have great waiters and bartenders like Jose who really take care of you and work with the kitchen to get whatever you want cooked to order like a hangar steak bloody rare! At the airport terminal A, I needed a snack and something to help calm my anxiety. I ordered the beer cheese pretzel and a Pepsi with woodford reserve. The bartender definitely hooked it up with the woodford reserve, my drink was practically the same color as the reserve bottle with a splash of Pepsi. It was quite strong, but I am very thankful for it. He topped me off with more Pepsi when I drank it down a little bit more. The pretzel was good, and the beer cheese was good as well. I should have ordered more food, but I wasn't sure how long it would take. The pretzel took a whopping 10 mins or so. The bartender was very polite and always checked up on me! After a flight cancellation the previous day and a flight delay, I found myself at The Office inside EWR. I had Delta food vouchers to use and lots of time to kill. I warned the staff that I was looking for a place to ride out the delays, and they gave me a nice quiet corner. I ordered food and drinks (do not just hogging a table) and was pleasantly surprised. The Office has 2 New Jersey and at least 2 New York craft beers on tap. The food was surprisingly good and the wait staff was very accommodating to my situation. There were 3 of us so we tried: Sloop Juice Bomb, Asbury Park Sea Dragon, Kane High Head, a burger, a pork roll burger and the kale salad. The food was all delightful, and we laughed as the menu had both the pork roll burger and Taylor Ham burger (same exact thing but with different regional names). So we got to get in on the local name debate. I appreciate how accommodating this centrally located restaurant was to lessening our travel stress. read more

I know it's airport pricing, but a burger, fries, and two drinks (plus tax and tip) coming out to over $70 is a little steep even for that. Especially when the burger was mediocre, marginally better than fast food quality. On the plus side, it's a nice place to watch football on a long Sunday layover, and the drinks were strong. read more

Was great food and great service - liked the atmosphere. Great spot to stop for lunch in A terminal. Sat up at the bar and they had hooks to hang my bag, and a plug in at each seat to power up before boarding a flight. Kale salad with chicken was delish!! read more

Went to the Newark Airport location. Enjoyed the food and the atmosphere was good. We had two salads with grilled shrimp. Both were better than expected for airport food. They have a nice selection of drinks with 20 beers on tap. My only complaint is that they don't tell you the ABV of the beers on the menu and that if you order something over 6% it is served in a small tulip glass instead of a pint. When you are paying $13-$14 a beer it would be nice to know if you are getting a short pour. read more

At The Office Tavern Grill the food is amazing. It's so good and easy on the go. The staff are the literal sweetest people on earth. We had Kathryn she's literally the best waitress I've ever experienced and so kind. The place is in the middle of an airport and it's so convenient. The Office Tavern Grill is really clean and on top of that it's really well designed and the decor is spectacular. My son was burning up with a 102 fever after a flight last night and we asked the server in the white shirt for some water in his kids cup. How unbelievably rude this guy was and denied water for my son. Besides the fact that he wouldn't help my 3 year old son, with the amount of unprofessionalism this man showed, ownership should be embarrassed. Rude, unprofessional and disrespectful- I would never employ someone in a customer service based establishment who exhibits this type of behavior. read more
