This is my favorite coffee spot in Mt. Washington! I visit every time I'm back in town, and these photos are from my visit around Thanksgiving. It's a quaint coffee shop on Old Bardstown Rd that has a bunch of comfy seating and amazing craft coffees. They have really good food as well, not that microwaved stuff you get at Starbucks. I'm not usually a Matcha drinker (my girlfriend is and I sip some of her's here and there) but this Matcha I got was absolutely delicious. The consistency, the texture, the flavor; just straight up perfect. The staff are always so accommodating and willing to make recommendations on what to get; so fitting for the hometown vibe I get here. HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!! Lots of choices for coffee and the food is the best around with bakery quality sourdough breads, cookies, danish etc love the hometown feeling of this interior kind of sweet service and charming place you won't get in a chain. Such a cute spot! This would be a great place to get work done. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I ordered the pumpkin latte with oatmilk and it was great! Not too overpowering and very smooth. I do think it was a little pricey, but I would rather spend it at a local shop than a chain. read more

I came in to purchase honey. Luckily they have honey from a local farm that I've purchased from before and love.

Honey depot & coffee is a cute coffee and pastry shop combined with a honey shop that is located in the small but cute little downtown portion of mount Washington Kentucky just off north bardstown road. When you walk into this shop you walk immediately into the honey shop which it only seeks several flavors and local honeys but also sells Amish jams, homemade salsa and other snack types and decor. They have a sample honey section which me and the wife checked out and the honey was amazing. To the point that we told ourselves we would purchase some after we went to the back for our coffee and breakfast. However the pricing is super high for the honey. Like outrageously high. Like over $20 for a small jar of honey. Way too high for a small town area such as mount Washington and even high for major cities like nearby Lousiville. Upon walking out to the back room there is a few tables and chairs and counter with a full coffee shop setup and pastries. Personably I ordered a cinnamon raisin scone and a frozen hot chocolate. My wife got a scone as well and a sub zero frozen drink. The scones were large and delicious and the coffee had great flavor. Pricing was fair and about average to other coffee shops and the vibe and service were all great. 5 stars for the coffee and pastry all day. Overall a very cool and cozy place that I hope does well. The pastry and coffee both were top notch. The honey was tasty but way too expensive. They would get our business outside of the coffee shop as well if they were more reasonable. Despite that it is a fun browse and a good spot for your morning coffee and pastry runs. read more

Stopped in here to work remotely on a week day. I can't believe I haven't stopped here before for coffee or pastries! The team here was wonderful and friendly, going as far as to ask if the temperature or music level should be adjusted while I was working so I could be comfortable. Their hospitality was memorable and the coffee delicious. I will be back to sample some of the pastries and snag a sourdough loaf! read more

What a great find in Mount Washington! The place is so cute and the staff were so friendly! Lots of different flavors to choose from including sugar free syrups. My daughter and I were so excited that they had sugar free chocolate chip cookie dough syrup. She got a frozen latte with the syrup in it, and I got a hot latte with the syrup. Oh my they were good! They also have baked goods including chocolate chip cookies and scones and breads. Different varieties of honey are also offered to purchase. Reasonably priced and highly recommended. read more

I had some time this morning and decided to stop and try The Local Press, as I haven't been here before. I got a chicken salad croissant sandwich and a peach smoothie. Both were delicious. The interior is welcoming, attractive, and clean. I didn't think to take any pictures, but would definitely recommend this place to anyone interested. read more

This is the sweetest coffee shop and the coffee is wonderful. The sour dough bread, the desserts, cinnamon rolls are all great, but mostly the owner Lori really does care about your experience and she cares about everyone that comes through that door. My wife and I came here on a Sunday morning for coffee and a nice little snack treat. I'm not into sugar too much so I got a black coffee with a shot of honey and my wife got a iced coffee that was very sweet. She also got a scone and it was very tasty as well. What a great little treasure in Mt Washington. We drove in from Louisville and was so glad we did. Plenty of comfortable spots to each and talk. Very cute and creative interior. The lemon poppyseed scone was made by hand and excellent. We also had the omelet muffin and pecan bar which was delicious. The coffee was smooth and so much better than the franchise types. I had a mocha cappuccino that had a nice chocolate bite with a great coffee flavor. Highly recommend and will definitely be back often. read more

What a hidden gem!! I love the Honey Depot! I've been a few times now and the service is always super friendly and prompt! The coffee has been consistently yummy and the maple breakfast sandwich is delicious! It's cozy inside and the prices are very fair.
