The muffin was good, yummy lemon flavor throughout with a rich cream cheese center. Wrap was decent, Southwest dressing with corn and beans and rotisserie chicken. The wrap did get a little mushy near the end, the heat did not help. Loved the meadow latte (vanilla and honey). Honestly a bit sweet for me, but good overall. Cutest quaint coffee shop in town, about 4 miles off the interstate making it stop worthy when traveling. Coffee, lattes and cocoa are perfect temp and delicious. Seasonal options this winter included peppermint and gingerbread. Selection of muffins, energy bites and more in the case. Croissant was a bit lack luster for the price, everything else a smidgen on the higher cost point, but so so so good. If your lucky you can grab a comfortable chair in front of the faux place. Popped in for a warm beverage and a snack which also happened to be the same day as Shelbyville's holiday light up. The owner was running around making sure everything was ready for the event, but she stopped & chatted with us. She was very nice & went over the eats/baked goods they had available. She said the Cherry Dream Bars & the pumpkin rolls are the top crowd pleasers. She also mentioned the only baked good that is not homemade are the English muffins. Those are homemade by a farm down the road. She highly recommended their tomato bisque & told us the secret ingredient they put in their bisque! The vibe inside the coffee shop is warm & cozy. Our barista was very kind as well. I got the dirty chai with a blueberry muffin - highly recommend both. The blueberry muffin was packed with juicy blueberries. My mom ordered a hot chocolate & the Cherry Dream Bar. She loved both of them. I stayed in Shelbyville for a week back in June and our rental was close to downtown. I went on a walk and found The Paddock Coffee shop and loved the atmosphere, the quad cortado with heavy cream, the friendly staff and especially their mission. I went every day except one. I highly recommend them and hope to visit again. read more

Their staff - is very dismissive as if they're doing you a favor! And they do not make good coffee either and I had to ask them twice to add more cream and syrup to my coffee; so, I could drink it. They do not have their coffee formulas down! Their muffins are good (at least they have that going for them!)- but expensive. Their hours are short and very inconvenient - do not go to their coffee shop 45 minutes before they close because they don't want you to stay and enjoy your cup of coffee with your muffin! I specifically told them I was having my coffee and muffin here and they brought my coffee and muffin in the bag instead of a plate and this is what they told me "Here is your muffin and coffee to go"! They were super annoyed! This is what they communicated to all 6 customers in their shop! Instead of being grateful they have customers - they're rude and obnoxious. They have no music either - I felt so stressed at that coffee shop. If they could see the look on the other customers and most of them were rolling their eyes and they couldn't wait to leave. Who wants to stay in a place where you don't feel welcome? I LOVE my coffee; however, I would never go there if it was the last coffee shop in Shelbyville. read more

We ordered 2 coffees and 2 sandwiches. One was an egg/sausage muffin and the other a grilled cheese sandwich. The coffees were good and so was the egg/sausage sandwich. The cheese in the "grilled"cheese was not melted and we had to finish it up at home. Worst of all, it took 45 mins! This was at 9:45am on a Friday. Maybe they are understaffed but dang, 45 mins?
