The inside is packed mouth watering pastries and goods. As soon as you walk in, you feel a hole burning in your pocket. Despite the tasty treats, the coffee was lackluster. I expected the coffee to be better than it was and that is why the rating is so low. I ordered an iced caramel latte and the entire drink tasted like water. Alex's graduation is this weekend and with family coming up we have to have my famous French toast and there's no better bread that the Milk Bread from JW's Bakery. This stuff is pillowy and just heaven in your piehole. I would love to learn to make it. It's so amazing. I did treat myself to some teriyaki chicken. If you're like me the first couple trips to JW's was all about the baked goodies; but, let me tell you their Chicken Teriyaki is literally the best I've ever had. It's not a soupy overly sweet hot mess that most places serve up. It is tender pieces of chicken that has just enough sauce to dip your rice into. Small but mighty!!!!......so full that flavor. Hidden in the Terra Crossing shopping center, this is an excellent local coffee shop and bakery. They serve up strong caffeinated beverages and a wide variety of house-made desserts. All are tasty, but the star of the shop is the tiramisu. Chef Edward Lee once called it "one of the best foods in Louisville" and I might agree with him. It sells out fast so you have to get a bit lucky, but there are plenty of other great options to try. Highly recommended this well run, cozy, local spot. read more

Awake early and with some time to consume before I could visit the nearby Mercedes dealership, JW Cafe to the rescue. This is a comfy coffee ship that also has a huge spread of delicious baked goods and as near as I can tell, they're all baked on site. Croissants, rolls, muffins, danishes, cookies and more. It's times like this that I somewhat regret my keto diet! So instead of all of that deliciousness, I got a great cup of coffee. Ethiopian hand pour that was amazing. Rich coffee with great flavor and I opted to enjoy it without cream. JW Cafe has a few tables and two comfy sofas. After a hot yoga class our group walked over to have a drink and some bites at JW Cafe. It wasn't busy, however our party of 11 brought in some business for the cafe. We ordered mango smoothies, strawberry smoothies, teriyaki chicken with rice, bibimbap rice bowl, turkey panini, Korean sushi and strawberry lemonades. Everyone thought they're orders were tasty. The teriyaki chicken was good. It was supposed to come with cabbage, however there were only a minuscule amount. I also wish I had asked them to remove the mayo. I thought that texture was gross. My mango smoothie was perfection and actually tasted like mango, which I liked. The atmosphere was chill and there was plenty of seating even though the cafe isn't huge. Nothing was so impressive for any of us to return, however it was perfect being next to our yoga class. read more

Bakery/coffee shop located right off the old Henry road expressway exit. Mid sized but lovely decorated place that gives it a nice homey feel. They have some pre made baked goods, desserts and snacks pre packed that you can grab and take to the counter. They also have a small menu of sandwiches and some noodle dishes along with the coffee menu. I brought my 4 daughters and a friend of theres with me here today. I personally got a cinnamon roll and a ham egg and cheese English muffin with a hot chocolate. Cinnamon roll was a nice size and had a nice tasting bread. The cream on the roll was a tad bit sweet for me. But it was still really good. The English muffin was good. Had nice cheese flavor to it and the bread was nice and soft. The hot chocolate was watered down severely. I couldn't taste the chocolate at all. Two of my daughter also got a hot chocolate and they were the same. So not sure if that's just what they taste like or if the machine is low on syrup or something. My oldest daughter got a a ham croissant sandwich, a piece of cake and an caramel iced coffee. Her sandwich was huge and she loved it. She was a big fan. She said Her cake was real good too and drink was solid. My second oldest got a brownie and grilled cheese. Both were pretty good. I took a bite of both and I approve. My two youngest and the friend shared a wild berry muffin and a cupcake. All three snacked on them and was satisfied. One of them also got a peach smoothie and they said it was great. Service here was kinda slow and the lady taking our order seemed very overwhelmed by my large order size and confused. When we asked questions about the product she wasn't very helpful and seemed to not give us answers about the specialty drinks and flavors. Pricing was solid. We got a lot of food and drinks and it cost over $50. Which ain't bad for a party of 6. So no complaints there. Overall it's a nice place and has A very cozy and inviting inside. Almost everything we tried besides the hot chocolate was at minimum solid tasting. Service wasn't the best this time but like the hot chocolate tasting watery maybe it was a one off thing. I'd be willing to come back. They do offer a stamp card where after 10 coffees/drinks you get a free one. I racked up 5 on this visit alone. But I unfortunately lost my stamp card before even leaving the parking lot while cleaning up our area and herding the kids to leave. read more

This is a cute little bakery! It's a bit hidden when coming off the highway. The atmosphere is very chill. There were only a few tables were you can actually sit down but also a couple of patio tables outside. The staff is so kind and helpful to explain all the items. We ordered the Caramel Macchiato (~$4), Matcha Latte (~$4), and Oreo Scone (~$3). The drinks were at a great temperature and were flavorful. The scone was amazing! I enjoy the pieces of oreo that were put in and you can tell they put in every bit of effort in making the bakery items the best. I do wish the store had a bit more baked goods and/or bubble tea (boba), possibly something similar to a Paris Baguette. However, for a small bakery shop like this, I do think they are doing well. I ended up WAY outside my usual area for an appt and decided to treat myself to a warm tea on a rainy day. I got SO MUCH more than I bargained for. My chai tea was divine but I unexpectedly stumbled into a beautiful bakery with lovely Asian dishes and a modern vibe. A large table of baked goods sits front and center - a large variety of scones (I got Oreo!), muffins, bread and bars. Amid these expertly done standard options were some more creative offerings - a lovely pizza bread and sweet red bean bun caught my eye. Their drink menu has anything you may want with listed syrups and loose leaf teas. They also have bubble tea! What surprised me the most: the incredible salad, sandwich, noodle and rice options. I will be returning to check out some of the options other reviewers have highlighted! Plus I have to try the bubble tea! The barista was so nice to point out the discount for service workers and when I mentioned I was a healthcare worker, she gave me the discount anyway! The space was lovely, very modern and comforting despite tall ceilings. And everything was COVID-safe. No other customers were present - they had a screen in front of the register and touch less payment. This just has so many positives. All we wanted was a casual breakfast spot- there's so many "big plate " expensive egg places ( and nothing wrong with that!) but so few lite snack, quick casual places. This place was comfortable, chic and had enough options to keep us happy. 5-6 different coffee blends, plus a nice expresso option. PLUS BOBA TEA!! My daughter was ecstatic. Service was attentive and warm. All the food was homemade and delicious. Everything was clean and inviting With all the chains, it's nice to support a family owned business. It looked like the whole family was there and working. One thing I like about this place is that they have fresh pastries and baked goods set up before going to the register and it's always tempting to pick something before ordering my coffee. Usually when I come here I get an iced vanilla latte with almond milk and a pan au chocolate (chocolate croissant). The staff was kind and friendly. Today when I went I noticed one of the staff wrote "You got this!" on the side of my cup and it made my day. Service was quick today because there wasn't that much people, but I've never been there when it's crowded. Overall, I enjoy going to this place. Fresh Fresh Fresh! Everything here tasted and smelled so fresh, which was my favorite thing about it. It's located in a sort of strip mall but once you enter it gives you posh European vibes. It was quiet but also very busy, friendly (but busy) staff. I went for morning pastries and would recommend you get there right at 8 if you want the full selection because they are off the shelves fast, and understandably so. Except that cool fountain downtown, or whatever that water spout is. But anyway. I definitely enjoyed this Korean bakery - especially the wonderful service. They have good pastries, although the Boba itself isn't amazing, but I definitely had a good time, and while the drinks aren't the standout, the bakery items definitely are. Plus it's in a remote area of a quiet city which doesn't have a lot of good stuff from around the world (I am sorry to those who think otherwise, but I haven't been able to match the Ohio cities or Tennessee cities yet when exploring Kentucky cities), so it's nice to have some cool International Variety in the Louisville area. read more

I came randomly during the week about mid afternoon and the place was about empty. There was one guy in here studying. They have free WiFi! We walked to the pastries and browsed a bit first before ordering the coffees. I got a ginger scone while my sister bought a squirrel cookie. They had a lot of options for pastries as well as cakes and lunch dishes. This is a Korean cafe so they had mostly Korean meals. Looked good though! A young girl was the only one taking orders and preparing coffee. But another lady walked in and went to the back. I ordered a regular coffee with almond milk. It was okay. Nothing special. Tasted like light to medium roast. My sister got a latte with gingerbread syrup. She felt like it was too sweet. The scone was good! I didn't eat it right away, but rather the day after. It was still soft! I shared it with my dad and sister and they also liked it. My mom ate it the day after that and she said it was still soft. Wow! Glad that their stuff is fresh and stays soft for a few days! The cookie was good but nothing special. I've had similar sugar cookies but it was cute and I liked the design. I'm open to trying more of their pastries and the lunch menu. The prices aren't bad at all! I'm so used to paying at least $3 for a pastry and these were under $2! Service was alright. The girl seemed stressed. She looked college-aged. She may have still had finals to take. But she managed to crack a smile when she gave us our coffees. It's minimally decorated. Wire art, a few tables, some couches, and they had a Christmas tree up for the holidays. The wall color was pretty calming! And I liked all the plants they put on the shelves. I'm not sure if I would've seen it off the street. The signage doesn't face the street either. Regardless, parking is ample. I recommend trying their baked goods. Seems like that's the selling point.
