I placed an order to install two digital deadbolt locks. Called once they said we are busy we will call you back. I had to call back two days later because they forgot about me. Installer could only get one of the locks to work manually, not electronically. Took him 3 hours and told me to make another appointment. He also told me the other lock i had would not work and I needed a replacement. Given this poor experience, I called a different locksmith Fleetwood Lock and they installed the other "broken" lock and fixed the one that The Lock House installed. Highly recommend Fleetwood Lock. When I received the bill I called to express my dissatifaction. I told him my intention of the call is to give you the feedback before I write the review. He said you should have called earlier and I was only looking for a discount. While i could have called him earlier and a discount would have been well received, his service did not deserve the second chance and his attitude confirmed that. Dante is the guy I spoke to. You're in good hands here. The lock house knows what they're doing. They cut my Toyota key perfectly and had great customer service.

"Dan," nice guy, installed a key pad which took a long time to get. He said he'd be back with a part we needed the next day. He never called, the keypad stopped working, we were stuck outside in 90degree heat. We called him twice, no response. Got a locksmith who responded quickly, fixed what needed to be fixed after we got into the house. Lock House is evidently not useful after you have your new non-working lock partially installed. I have never reviewed on yelp but I'm glad to save others the trouble. read more

Quick and simple process for getting locks changed after moving into our new home.

The guys at The Lock House helped me open a lockbox that we'd lost the keys for. Whole process of opening the box and getting a new set of keys took about 10 mins and was less than $20. They also have a great selection of novelty keys which are always fun if you need a new house key. We'll definitely use them again! read more

Delivery date for my handleset was not close. I was having a new door installed on saturday and needed the new handle for installation. I was told on a tuesday that my order would be ready within 24 hrs. I called on wednesday, wasnt ready. Called on thursday, wasnt ready. Called on friday, and it still wasnt ready. Since they're closed all weekend, I didnt receive my order that until the following monday. 5 days late and when I spoke to them on friday, i was told hey.. if im not happy, just cancel the order and move on. told me he didnt have time to deal with me being 'fickle'. didnt appreciate the attitude after they were clearly at fault. take your business elsewhere. read more

The Lock House on Elwood Avenue DOES NOT WANT YOUR BUSINESS. Bobby who works there told me yesterday that after 20+ years of doing business with them, he DOES NOT HAVE TIME FOR CUSTOMERS. I ordered a doorknob that he said would be available in a "few days" on a Thursday. The following Tuesday, I called and Bobby said it was not in yet. It would be another week but he would call me when it came in. No call after a week and half so I called again. He said it would be another week. When I pressed him to give me a date, he said he does not have time for customers. DO NOT GIVE THE LOCK HOUSE IN HAWTHORNE, NY YOUR BUSINESS. BOBBY DOES NOT WANT YOUR MONEY. read more

The staff were inconsiderate, did not care about quoting inaccurate delivery dates, did not hear from them for 10 days. They said they would call me when the product arrived and did not do so. Very poor customer service. I was told that we were not their number one priority; they had other "problems" to deal with. Would never deal with them again. read more

The guy was late and did not call that he was running late but when he came, he went to work fast and did a good job. He also gave me the part (that was not part of the original quote) for free. A few weeks later, I went to their location to get extra copies of the new keys and the guy who worked there remembered me and that they were late (without me mentioning it) and he did not charge me for the extra keys. read more
