I got a small storage unit for when I was moving. The place is super clean and most of the staff was friendly. There was one guy that harassed us while we were using their truck that we got to use for free as a promotion. Their prices are are decent and is in a nice area. read more

Clean, cool, with good security, and a good choice of size's depending upon your needs. Easy load in with two large loading bays. There are times when both bays are in use, which means the two elevators may be used as well, but it happens very rarely in my experience. Fairly good size sturdy rolling carts are in the loading bay for anyone to use. read more

There are many self storage facilities in the Bonita Springs area. After a great deal of research, this was our first choice to visit. We were on a "window shopping" expedition, but were so impressed that we contracted on the spot. Ray Torok, the Property Manager, was very helpful. He answered every question and did not exert any pressure. I had been expecting a "used car" approach, but Ray was just the opposite and I really appreciated that. The facility is three years old and looks and feels brand new. It is very clean with carpeted units, well lit, easy to access, and provides a covered loading area, two elevators, and multiple dollies if needed. I knew the prices were competitive, so after touring the facility did not see the need to visit competitors. I really couldn't have asked for a better experience after a very stressful move to Florida! Having no basement and a one car garage made it nearly impossible to get all of our things into a much smaller condo. The lock up storage was the perfect answer from giving us a truck for a day and a bonus month free to being walked through the process by Ray-excellent experience. Much appreciated! read more

Now it has been out for 3 months - they do not even notify you that your things are sitting in 80 -90 degree FL heat and humidity. Then they want you to pay for moving yourself to a floor with AC- but wait, that floor was without AC for months as well at one point. So, you pay for AC, don't get it and they want you to pay to move yourself to AC - no end in sight - while "waiting on parts" TOTAL LIES. - BREAK THE CONTRACT WITH THE AC COMPANY OR BUY AN AC THAT ACTUALLY WORKS. - BUT PUBLIC STORAGE - JUST TAKE AND TAKE AND GIVE NOTHING IN RETURN. Finally got some reimbursement, will have to deal with insurance and pay to move myself. My luck I'll do all that and the 2nd floor AC will break. JUST DON'T DO IT.

The rate was decent, and we locked it in for six months, but once we finally visited the place last week... it was a hard NO. Dirty, questionable smells, and honestly, I was starting to wonder if any of our items would even be salvageable. Our contract was ending in early December anyway, so we immediately went searching for a new facility. That's when we found The Lock Up Self Storage in Bonita Springs--just a mile or so up the road, and truly a night-and-day difference. From the moment we walked in and met Jim, we knew we were in the right place. He was incredibly friendly, patient, and knowledgeable. The building was spotless. It smelled clean (which is definitely not something you appreciate until you've been in a gross facility!), and the security features were exactly what we were used to in New York: a code to enter the building and another code for the elevator. That instantly gave us peace of mind. Jim showed us two different units to help us decide on the right size, and we settled on a 10x10 at a very fair price. Honestly, at that point we were moving regardless of cost--the difference in quality was THAT dramatic. The unit we chose was a carpeted end unit, which made unloading and organizing so much easier. No bugs, no signs of vermin, no weird smells, great lighting, and clearly well-maintained. We rented a U-Haul that same day, emptied the old unit, and moved everything into The Lock Up Storage. Best decision ever. The old place was also about to raise our rent by nearly $90 a month, which was laughable considering the condition it was in. We're now completely at peace knowing our belongings are safe, clean, and stored in a place we trust. Huge thank you to Jim, who made the entire experience smooth and stress-free. Highly, highly recommend The Lock Up Self Storage if you want security, cleanliness, and excellent customer service. We could not be happier with the switch.

We were in a bind. We live in Massachusetts but purchased a home in Florida and had to furnish it remotely. There was no one at the home to receive all the furniture and so out of desperation we called Ray at this amazing facility. Ray agreed to accept, on our behalf, over 200 shipments of furniture, lamps, appliances and other items, all the while, giving us an amazing rate on storage units for three months. Ray and his colleague Ryan, also amazing, actually transported large boxes to and from the UPS truck, to our storage units. They kept all of our things safe, and after arriving in Florida to put together the house, we found not one single item missing or damaged. They cared for things as if they were their own. they communicated with us frequently, and the facility was immaculate. I cannot say thank you enough, and my wife and I are indebted to both of you for your amazing service, care and beautiful facility. We will recommend you to all of our friends!!! read more

Opened my storage unit right after the location opened. Ray and the team at this location were very knowledgeable and friendly. More importantly, they were accommodating to my needs. Visited my unit regularly without any issues. I had many small items and they let me use their truck to make it easier to move and save on making multiple trips . I have been a customer for several years. Even though the facility is a nice one, this location is…read moremore expensive than any other competitor. They raise the rent constantly. We are now up to $504 @month for a 10 X 20 drive up which is robbery. They have made many mistakes. They wanted to gain access several years ago to "paint" the units. There was nothing to paint. Just aluminum walls remain. So, they removed the cylindrical locks and never replaced them. Then, after the last big Hurricane, they contacted everyone and said that there was water and mud damage and had to gain access again. There was no damage but lots of stuff was missing. I did not pursue it. When they removed the cylindrical locks, we had to replace it with a standard padlock and key. They put their own temporary lock on it until I was able to replace it. They used to have a resident manager who is no longer living there and the office is no longer manned. Everything is done remotely. I should have removed my things a long time ago and am finally doing something in order to get my things into a more reasonable storage up the road. There seems to be poor regional management and I am not impressed with the way that they run their business. For a time, they were inconveniencing me because I was living and working overseas and felt that they were not reliable or understanding about my inability to return to this location to fulfill their requests to change locks, "paint" and "Hurricane" damage which did not exist. At one point, their regional manager called my "emergency contact" without contacting me first. For the record, I have never been late with payment and in recent years used "auto pay". This location needs to get it together and run it with customer service in mind. I am now paying a fraction of the rental price with their competitor up the road. $504 @ month is not sustainable for anyone. I just notified their "chat line" of my intention to vacate the premises and was offered a $100 @ month discount. Even $404 @ month is way out of line for this storage location. I would not recommend this location at these rates. I think they are disorganized and lacking managerial oversight. I wish I could stay but it is not cost effective.

We visited the facility last week and were truly blown away by all the features and the exceptional customer service. They have lots of enclosed units in a variety of sizes, with the largest big enough to store our 45-foot motor-home. The enclosed units have temperature control and their own electrical panels along with coded access. There are also canopy options, which have electrical hook-ups AND fire suppression systems. And the entire facility is surrounded by a high wall, security cameras and storm drainage. In fact, we learned the entire facility has been built to withstand severe weather. Lastly, the owners are wonderful (which was mirrored by the other customers we met last week) - this is a family owned business and you can tell their genuine customer service and communications come from the heart AND the sincere desire to be successful by way of providing a great storage option with excellent service. Pricing options give real value for money and with no flexing. And we were told we can use the wash bay for free. We researched lots of places in the surrounding area and we would absolutely state this is the best option by far. In fact, we've not seen anything like it anywhere. 10/10. Thank you, Dana and Don for the tour! We will be back.

The two men he had assigned to move the furniture were very friendly and polite, but not very professional in the sense that they asked the homeowner that we purchased the sofa set from to use their bathroom and asked them for some water. One also asked to use our bathroom upon delivery. It's my opinion that they should have their own water and should have used their facilities before they left or stopped to use the facilities somewhere before they picked up the order and/or stopped before delivery. Although they were 15 min late for the appointment time already, so maybe that's why they did not want to stop on the way, but that's still no excuse to ask to use a homeowners bathroom in my opinion. They did do a wonderful job of protecting the furniture by wrapping it with moving blankets and plastic. They also did a wonderful job of setting up our furniture in our home. For the delivery, Mike also had given his team the wrong delivery address for our home, missed a digit, so it took longer for them to get here. Since they charge by the hour, that isn't a good thing, although I'm sure it was an honest mistake. They did adjust their hourly rate by an extra 15 minutes, so that probably made up for any additional expense that it would've made. We just had to wait a little longer for our delivery than anticipated. Not a huge difference for us, but might be critical to someone else.
