Personally, one of my favorite things about this place is the drinking water they have. It's a five stage filtration system that dispenses water by the gallon. I usually come here to fill up my 18 gallons of water bi-weekly, and I never had an issue paying with credit cards or cash and coins. The water tastes clean and crisp, and the pump dispenses fast. They also sell ice here as well. The customer service is great and friendly, and I'm always greeted when arriving. This is a must stop for your gallon of water needs, and it's especially convenient when living in the surrounding neighborhoods.

Dog run is disappointing but Mansfield Dog park is excellent and 12 minutes away by car. Overall this park is a bit pricey though with significant jump this year without warning. Monthly cost includes water and electric plus subpar internet. Flooding is minimal and so far few power issues. Have been here one year, and give it four stars.

I made a reservation at this place - then called Wild Wild West Backpackers Hostel - from Feb 22,…read more2021 to Feb 25, 2021. Of the three nights reserved, I stayed for two. You get what you pay for. Low price, quiet neighborhood, located in a residential area. Only two convenience stores and a Mexican restaurant within walking distance. To go to other places, you need a car. This hostel was not a large place and did not practice social distancing. No one wore masks. The living room was not spacious, impossible to maintain 6-ft distance when there are 5 or more people present. Beds were reserved till 100% occupancy. Mind you, this stay occurred during the COVID pandemic. It was a miracle that I didn't contract it. The tough part is when a bunkmate snores loudly, made worse when I have to share the same bunk with him. Sleeping was difficult because of his snoring. To make matters more worse, I was on the upper bunk. The ceiling fan was above me. Even the lowest speed, it felt windy and compounded the sleeping problem. After two sleepless nights, I had enough and went to stay in a hotel. The only upsides were the house pets: 3 cats and a dog. They were friendly, and made the stay enjoyable enough until I took it no more. Unless you're tight on money, I do not recommend this place.

The Wild Wild West Backpackers is situated on a busy Street with a convenience store directly across the street and in walking distance to the public library, Centennial Park, several fast food restaurants and the Historic District Irvine DART (Dallas Area Rapid Transit). This little neighborhood is filled with 4+ historical sites and buildings. Walking distance to the Aquatic Center (those 50-plus may enter free of charge). Pecan trees are plentiful!

We stayed in the…read moreCivil War cabin and it had everything we needed; towels, dishes, coffee, linen, etc. The only thing they didn't have is a hair dryer. There is a gas grill outside and we grilled steaks and sat around the fire pit. We brought some movies to watch since there is a DVD player. The hot water never runs out so it was nice to take a long hot shower. Nice weekend getaway. Would definitely stay here again!
