As a…read morevendor, I really appreciate the layout of the venue and the event support that the owners provide, such as moving tables and chairs around and helping in the cleanup/takedown process of the event. Even taking away the trash at the end of the night. So many venues expect the couple/clients to haul tables and chairs and trash to obscure storage locations on their property at 11:00 pm. This makes a big difference when hiring our team to help with takedown. I was able to give my clients a huge discount for my takedown/cleanup service. So all of you potential couples, think about this for your convenience and ease of operation for your event when looking for a wedding venue. And did I mention...this venue is stunning, pristine, close in to town and has beautiful landscaping! vendor: Lisa Faircloth Events, LLC.

It's in a neighborhood and set very far back from any houses. So it's a hidden gem! This place has amazing large lawns and lots of floral shrubs. Just driving up the lane to the venue gave me butterflies. The owners were very helpful throughout the whole day. They even helped my husband and I get my keys out of my locked car! The father of the groom thanked the owners in his toast so I have a good feeling they were wonderful to work with like he said. As it started to get dark they lit torches (not tacky tiki ones) around the outdoor dining/reception area and have so many other great lighting touches. This has to be one of the most beautiful wedding venues I've seen (and I toured a lot for my wedding a few years ago). Just the amount of work it takes to make the grounds look that good is very impressive.

Talk about a hidden gem! This is a wonderful riverside venue that is an up-and-comer for engaged couples - and the secret will be out soon! The hills of Granite Falls form the perfect backdrop for a large, outdoor wedding. And while the backdrop satisfies the aesthetic desires of engaged couples, every other accommodation comes courtesy of the River Valley Oasis staff. All afternoon and evening, nothing stood out more to me than their gracious, attentive service. James (the manager) and his crew took time to show me the venue and made sure I was well-prepared to take care of the couple. They were active throughout the day coordinating space, power, and extra supplies for all the vendors. The backyard area has a vast lawn, which is filled with log benches and other neat rural fixtures, including barn-roof cocktail areas and a rustic wooden swing that was perfect for wedding photos. The whole area is lined with neatly trimmed bushes and colorful flowers. The River Valley Oasis has a spacious, white tent in the back of the main grass lawn, with seating for 180. Around the corner from the main lawn, down a path of flowered arches is a beautiful garden. Right out of a movie, the area backs up directly to the stream for which the River Valley Oasis is named. Surrounded by flowers and trees, the garden is ideal for a dream romantic ceremony. The path to the garden also makes a processional and recessional aisleway. Despite its size, every inch of this space has a rural appeal that simply can't be beat. Both the Groom and Bridal suites are emblematic of the River Valley Oasis' unique charm. The bride and bridesmaids have an ornate, mirror-laden room near the front of the venue, while the groom and groomsmen have their own raised cabin (that was open-faced toward the river) to carouse in before the festivities! I highly recommend the River Valley Oasis -- it has it all!

I love the fact that you can bring your dog (or whatever animal you want) to their venue to be part of your ceremony!! Their system of organization and scheduling of daily events was impressive. Staff was incredibly gracious, especially while containing a hundred 10 year old boys and girls. Daily routine began with reveille at 0700 hours and ended at 10p with lights out. Survival classes were informative and included sessions like fire building, archery, stream studies, rock climbing, and forestry to name a few. Breakfast, lunch, and dinners were definitely elevated from a 'camp' menu with dishes like pork tenderloin, brisket, hot breakfasts, 24/7 coffee and tea for chaperones, side salads and dessert with every meal. I. Was. Im. PRESSED. They flip schools midweek, so if you're there from Wed-Fri, the previous school will be wrapping up lunch as you arrive and they depart. Schools never crossed paths and the transition was seamless. The cabins were 4 groups of 3 bunks with extra cots if needed. Working heaters and windows on every wall to air out during the day (highly recommended). It def got humid at night in the fall. Bathroom rotations were 10 mins per cabin which sounded like an impossible amount of time but worked out well. There were 11 showers in the main restroom with one being ADA accessible. 3 separate showers in the shared chaperone and employee restroom (which only had one working toilet). I preferred the main restroom but used it after lights out for my showers. No problems running out of stalls or showers. The bunks were rough for chaperone bones... wish I had brought extra padding to ease the sleepless nights after long days of trail walking, back to back events from 7a-9p, and dealing with a ton of 5th graders for 3 days straight! The bottomless coffee and tea helped keep us all upright! Overall, impressive meals, even more impressive staff, and impeccable scheduling!
