Other vendors were not allowed early access to the hall as agreed, which caused cascading delays across the entire program. Additionally, the hall was not fully cleaned--trash from the previous event was still present when we entered. The décor (done by French Creek Manor) was also not up to standard, and there were multiple issues throughout the event. When these concerns were raised, the owner refused to acknowledge that the problems were due to mismanagement. There was no accountability or effort to resolve the situation. I strongly recommend against hosting your event at this property.

They have a center stage that they can decorate as per your liking, bring out a screen if you want to play something, and overall made sure guests enjoyed the event.

So it's a hidden gem! This place has amazing large lawns and lots of floral shrubs. Just driving up the lane to the venue gave me butterflies. The owners were very helpful throughout the whole day. They even helped my husband and I get my keys out of my locked car! The father of the groom thanked the owners in his toast so I have a good feeling they were wonderful to work with like he said. As it started to get dark they lit torches (not tacky tiki ones) around the outdoor dining/reception area and have so many other great lighting touches. This has to be one of the most beautiful wedding venues I've seen (and I toured a lot for my wedding a few years ago). Just the amount of work it takes to make the grounds look that good is very impressive.

TERRIBLE venue management under the guise of a beautiful space…read more In short, three months after signing with The Barn at Holly Farm we were told management would rather start a year of self-initiated renovations than honor their contract with us. Their decision not only affected us, but at least nine other couples who had booked weddings there too. For my fiancé and me, this left us with less than 7 months before the wedding date to find a new venue and re-plan our entire event. It took over a month for us to find a new space that could accommodate our wedding size indoors. To receive a full refund, we were expected to sign a document that stated we wouldn't make any comments which "may, directly or indirectly, disparage" The Barn at Holly Farm (obviously we did not accept those terms). It then took over a month to receive the funds for The Barn's breach of contract. I hope no other couple has to experience The Barn at Holly Farm's mismanagement and the nightmare experience they caused at least 10 couples in 2021!

We worked with Karmel as well as a flower vendor (Dirty Girl) and photographers (GSquared) whom Karmel recommended. Part of the reason we were drawn to this venue is because of the good works that they do with equine therapy and rescued farm animals. Our experience with the Barn was fantastic. We really hit it off with Karmel and she made planning the wedding fun and low stress. The vendors she recommended also did a great job and at the end of the day, are just good people. I feel like they all connected with us on a personal level. One fun perk this venue offered is for a small fee someone from the Barn takes guests out to meet some of the animals (chickens, goats, llamas, etc.) during the social hour before the reception. This was a lovely and charming way to start the celebration. I think that what we paid was fair for the service we received. The only snafu at the very end was having to pack our own stuff even though we paid extra for the clean-up service, but it was mostly just our personal belongings and it wasn't a big deal. There's always a little wedding drama - in this case our own guests, and the way that Karmel and vendors went about handling it to reduce the stress on us was beautifully done. They were respectful and discreet and we were incredibly grateful for their support. The space itself on the day of the wedding was absolutely stunning and everything was set up exactly as we had planned. It was a truly magical day and I'm so glad we chose the Barn to get married. I'd do it all over again. :)

Talk about a hidden gem! This is a wonderful riverside venue that is an up-and-comer for engaged couples - and the secret will be out soon! The hills of Granite Falls form the perfect backdrop for a large, outdoor wedding. And while the backdrop satisfies the aesthetic desires of engaged couples, every other accommodation comes courtesy of the River Valley Oasis staff. All afternoon and evening, nothing stood out more to me than their gracious, attentive service. James (the manager) and his crew took time to show me the venue and made sure I was well-prepared to take care of the couple. They were active throughout the day coordinating space, power, and extra supplies for all the vendors. The backyard area has a vast lawn, which is filled with log benches and other neat rural fixtures, including barn-roof cocktail areas and a rustic wooden swing that was perfect for wedding photos. The whole area is lined with neatly trimmed bushes and colorful flowers. The River Valley Oasis has a spacious, white tent in the back of the main grass lawn, with seating for 180. Around the corner from the main lawn, down a path of flowered arches is a beautiful garden. Right out of a movie, the area backs up directly to the stream for which the River Valley Oasis is named. Surrounded by flowers and trees, the garden is ideal for a dream romantic ceremony. The path to the garden also makes a processional and recessional aisleway. Despite its size, every inch of this space has a rural appeal that simply can't be beat. Both the Groom and Bridal suites are emblematic of the River Valley Oasis' unique charm. The bride and bridesmaids have an ornate, mirror-laden room near the front of the venue, while the groom and groomsmen have their own raised cabin (that was open-faced toward the river) to carouse in before the festivities! I highly recommend the River Valley Oasis -- it has it all!

The grass is beautifully green and the outdoor ceremony location has a beautiful spot over look g the lake on property and an arbor you just need to decorate. The building has a very well maintained and sexy masculine grooms room. With a. At broom on that side to keep him away from the bride. The brides room is bright and elegant with gigantic mirrors & great lighting for the ladies to get their hair and make up done. The reception are has several cozy "loungey" areas for you to sit and chat. One has a fireplace too. The bar is ample and nice but also not in your face so it doesn't take away from the venue or decor. They have chandeliers and twinkle lights already available and beautiful white drapery that makes this venue both magical and elegant at the same time. The indoor ceremony location is very nice. One of the benefits of this being ur is it can accommodate a large even. We expected 300. So when you enter the space you have beautiful pillars available to you, gold chevalier chairs lining the ceremony hall and a beautiful walk way to the stage. We rented and added the white drapes for the big reveal of the bride entering and it just made the space dreamy. The windows allow for a nice view of the outdoor grounds. The one caveat: make note of the sunset time and where the sun will be at the time of your ceremony. It was back lit so very difficult to see the bride, groom, wedding party and their faces as they were silhouetted. That was one big negative. We didn't know so we're t able to rent lighting or prep our photographer to prepare. Still waiting on pics, so hopeful that she was still able to shoot well given the challenging lighting situation. We did chose to have an indoor wedding ceremony because may is generally cold and wet. Who knew we had the most beautiful weather. The other nice thing is the venue does have audio equipment for both ceremony and reception hall. Food: with a large wedding event we went with their pasta bar. This is not basic. The chef honestly prepares a very flavorful well presented pasta bar. I am a total foodie and was expecting basic at the food tasting but it was far from that. In fact the food rating made us feel so special. The team at LHF do not leave any details out so you feel like you're popping in on someone's event. Everything from appetizers to dessert and wine. One miss is we had many gluten free guests and the team forgot to put a sign out for GF guests to request their plate so there was some confusion for many of those guests. So that was a call out I made note for the venue. It would have minimized confusion and hurt feelings. The reception hall: round and rectangular tables are available. They'll help work a nice floor plan for you. There is plenty of great lighting. A nice set up for dessert, coffee and tea, bar, DJ and areas for Photo Booth etc. we used round tables. Which also have the hood chavalier seats. When we arrived for set up, all our tables were ready for us to set up. They had white linens and silverware in pace. We opted to bring our own napkins, runners and did our own decor and it was beautiful! One note: they've change policies on lot candle/tapers, even if they are dripless. Unfortunately, we didn't find out until the day of. Which means I now have several hundred new and very expensive dripless candles I can't send back. So get yourself battery operated or candles that are IN. Container that covers the tip of the candle. I understand why, and tracy was kind enough to explain what had happened a couple weeks earlier. Unfortunately it's one bad experience that messes it up for the others. So keep that in mind if you want actual kit candles hey a full container for each one so you can have the candle lit vibe. Staff. In General the staff was very attentive, helpful and friendly. We had a couple little hiccups w a couple of their younger staff. But hole it up to youth and new work experience. Tracy and team were very receptive to the feedback. Pricing. Very reasonable for a full service. A venue that runs you 6k is not apples to apples. Be careful as you compare what you get. We have been getting our pumpkins from craven farms for almost 20 yrs- we've tried a few other…read moreplaces here and there but we always come back to craven! There's NO entry fee to get in, unlike some other farms nearby... always a decent pumpkin and squash selection. The mini animal petting area is always a hit with the kiddos- located in the same building as the gift shop. We always enjoyed the face painting (I'm not sure if they still have that or not though). I believe there is a fee for the corn maze and pumpkin shooter etc. You can also rent a fire pit for the evening with friends or family! Most important, I NEVER leave without a bag of their mini donuts- they're the best I've ever had!!!
