Our friends got married here last November and though it was cold outside, the wedding was absolutely beautiful and the food was unforgettable!!! They decorated the place with really nice lights, flower petals, etc... and the seats at the tables were comfortable. The servers were really friendly and helpful too. The mashed potatoes and salads were exceptional... The only down side that I could spot was that in the upstairs reception area, you can kind of hear everything that is going on downstairs because of the echo... but as long as you have great piano/classical music playing in the background, that should tune everything out!

My husband and I recently had our wedding at Lord Hill Farms and it was everything we could have ever imagined. The venue is stunning and well kept. The food is delicious and we had many guests compliment on the food! The reception area is beautiful with a good size dance floor! LHF staff was wonderful to work with, answering both our emails and phone calls promptly. We couldn't have asked for a better experience with Lord Hill Farms. One thing I would suggest to brides that are interested in the venue is that I wouldn't recommend getting ready at the venue. The dressing room is pretty small and the lighting isn't the best. However it was perfect for us after we had gotten our hair and makeup done somewhere else.

I got married here on January 24th, 2015 and can say that this venue over exceeded my expectations. Lisa is fabulous (as well as the rest of the staff!) - she always was available for any questions I had and even if she didn't have an answer, she would find out and email/call me back right away. We were able to rent French Creek Estates (their smaller venue right next door) for all of us girls to get ready and dressed in for a really inexpensive price and it ended up being the perfect place to get ready - I had a bridal party of eight ladies and had even more girlfriends want to get ready with us and the amount of room we had was MORE than enough. I completely recommend renting it for the four hours of your choice to get ready in. Lucky for me, my mother in law and a bunch of her friends took care of setting up the reception decor and they had wonderful things to say about Lord Hill Farm's staff. She said they were very helpful and seemed happy to be there - beforehand AND after during clean up. The decor that Lord Hill Farms had in there was MORE than I could've asked for. They had even more twinkle lights up from previous Christmas parties the month before and were kind enough to leave them up for my special day which just added even more ambiance. I had SO many compliments on the food that Lord Hill Farms provided for us. We chose the Basil Pesto Chicken which came with Caesar salad, seasonal vegetables, and bread rolls. However, we had a couple vegetarians in the family so we decided to add on the Pasta Bar option which included a Gorgonzola Cheese Pasta and a Marinara Pasta. I seriously still dream about the food. EVERYONE was so happy with how quickly the buffet went, too. We had about 160 people and we had everyone get through the buffet within about 35 minutes! Overall, we had so many compliments on how beautiful the venue was. We were so incredibly happy with how our wedding day turned out. I would recommend this venue to everyone!

My friend recently got married here. The venue is absolutely beautiful. The ceremony started around 5:30pm and was in the upstairs area. Which was stunning and very intimate. The staff made a rainy day into a gorgeous back drop for the vows. Candles were lit everywhere and large vases of flowers lined the huge window over looking the grassy pastures. Although one of the downfalls was that you could hear echoing, so anyone that talked below during the ceremony you could hear. The reception was nice and the food was fantastic. I am not a fan of buffets but they did a great job. The more weddings I attend, the more I question where I would like to get married? Lord Hill Farms would be on the top of that list (along with Bora Bora!) FYI: I did notice there is an elevator going from the reception area to the ceremony.

LHF was great! They answered ALL my silly questions over the phone or email, within 24 hours, even if I had asked them once before. Their staff the night of my wedding was very professional to all guests, and made my husband and I feel very special. They have many items for rental (very reasonable pricing) and made the entire process very easy. Carved ham and turkey, garlic mashed potatoes were amazing!! Thank you for making my dreams come true - beautiful venue!! Carly

Lord Hill Farms is an amazing location to have your wedding. My husband and I truly had our dream fairytale experience at this beautiful venue. The staff was incredibly nice and flexible with every detail and last minute request that was needed. With how great everything is pre-set for a wedding (dance floor, bars, outdoor/indoor ceremony area, spacious reception hall, tables/chairs, space for grand exit outdoors, changing areas for bride/groom/wedding parties), it was the best choice my husband and I made for our wedding. Our guests had a great time, the food was very delicious, and the ceremony/reception area being all in one place was perfect. Not to mention there is a ton of parking for guests. Prices are somewhat steep and rising, but overall it was an unforgettable experience we will never forget. - Extremely happy bride

I came here for a Yelp event. I was really impressed! There is plenty of parking. The outside is very nicely decorated with lights. The inside is perfect for a rustic wedding. I love the bar to the right as soon as you walk in. The dance floor is large. The bathrooms are clean. The space is quite large for bigger weddings. I would definitely recommend for a fabulous rustic wedding or event!

Very cool venue. I'd love to see it on a spring or summer evening but it seemed like a great place to have a wedding reception. I've lived here for over 20 years and never new this place existed until Yelp held an event here. I loved the food and the ambiance. The service was great and the vibe was very Snohomish.

The beautiful lawn area where my girlfriend walked down the aisle :)

I'm stunned that the kitchen can stay on top of it while making tasty food and maintaining timely and competent service. Maybe they have a hidden genie helping them? In any case, it's impressive. My first time there was for dinner and I ordered some sort of steak dish on the server's recommendation. I have to say the sides were great but the steak was just "OK", because it had the downside of 90% of restaurant steaks: no crust. still, it was decently seasoned and cooked to a perfect mid rare; For breakfast, they absolutely hit it out of the park. Some of the best breakfast potatoes I've had anywhere. In fact, inside the historic district of Snohomish (draw a rectangle between 3rd and the Snohomish River N/S and then Ave E and the Pilchuk River W/E), this is the best breakfast to be had, and I've tried the three other major sit-down breakfast options. What has me certain to come back is the stunning ambiance. The owners / management have an obvious love of Snohomish's historic Americana. Sitting in the dining room feeds your soul.

I opted for an eggs Benedict with shrimp and crab, which was delicious and I got a lot of large bites of crab leg. The food isn't anything extraordinary but everything combined with good service and a beautiful place to look at and sit make it's worth while. I also appreciated how attentive our waitress was with refilling my soda. I feel like parking around the area could be a little tricky since it's a lot of side street and it's adjacent to the historic downtown area.

We had our annual event on October 8th at the Edmonds Waterfront Center with Shooby Doo catering as…read morethe food vendor. The Waterfront Center has them as an exclusive contract so we had no choice but to use this caterer. We signed up with them back in 2020 believing that we would have an in-person event in 2021 but the Delta virus made us have to do a virtual event. Shooby-doo refused to refund our significant down-payment, so we were stuck with them for a future opportunity. Which we utilized them, as I said, on October 8th 2022. The tasting that we did those years ago was absolutely wonderful. The food was quite delicious. And that team worked with us to make sure that we would have a really good selection of food items to meet all pallets, allergies, and so forth. Thus, the food is quite expensive. The major issue that we had with this company is that we are a non-profit organization and have to abide by state guidelines in regard to serving alcohol. It was almost impossible to work with Scooby-Doo on this issue because they had really bad information that they kept telling us was accurate. It was not good. It took weeks on end to finally get them to deal with the state directly and understand that we were correct and we would not do anything that would potentially jeopardize our nonprofit status. In the end it was resolved well but the frustration that we were put through is still something that has a scab on the wound. One expects for someone who is providing a service that particularly has to meet state guidelines would know what they are doing and what they are talking about. And not asking us to work in a gray area. And that's what we were told over and over again. "Just work in the gray area", but like I said it was finally resolved. One other minor thing that was aggravating but we dealt with quickly was them wanting us to get more alcohol than we needed. We got what we knew we needed and still had a few bottles left over. And the only other minor aggravation was they didn't know their full contract the evening of when everything was said and done. They thought we were supposed to be out of the building at 10:00 p.m. but we were actually scheduled to be out by midnight. Again it got resolved but it was something else to add to a more stressful moment in time. Now on to the good stuff: The night of the event was extraordinary. Their employees had everything set up in advance as it was supposed to be and the venue looked amazing. They were so friendly, accommodating, and easy to work with. They literally catered to our every need asking questions along the way to make sure that we were satisfied before our guests even arrived. The staff members were amazing. The food was out of the ballpark extraordinary. People absolutely loved the food. We had a double-sided buffet in order to make things would go smooth and quickly. I'm glad we opted for that rather than having them serve the dishes. It worked well. I'm absolutely sure that we would never use Shooby Doo again for our agency events, because of the massive issues we had with them in the beginning. However, I do think they would be good for things that are not related to being a non-profit: Like weddings, birthdays, small corporation celebrations, and such. If you're considering Shooby Doo to cater your nonprofit organization, be careful, be warned, and make sure you check everything, especially the legality around alcohol service. Also, know and monitor the contract so that you know exactly what's in it. While the service was excellent the night of, and the food was extraordinary, the price tag on this event was far more than we anticipated. We recognize that food costs are up and inflation is a nightmare but this is a very expensive catering service. Scooby-Doo gets a five star on the food quality and the evening of service. They get a one star on the knowledge on working with nonprofits, or at least with our non-profit. They get a negative 5 for not allowing us to get our down-payment back when the Delta virus came and shut everything down for everyone. I feel they should have offered it back with perhaps a small penalty but they did not so we were forced to have to use them a couple years later. I thought that was absolutely ridiculous. I told them that I would give an honest review. And this review is that.

Despite hearing positive feedback about them, we were disappointed with both the service and the pricing. While the food itself was satisfactory, the service fell short of our expectations. The staff, particularly the head staff member, displayed below-average professionalism and a snarky attitude. Additionally, the setup did not align with what was agreed upon and promised beforehand. Despite planning for 90 guests, the seating arrangements only accommodated 64, causing inconvenience and dissatisfaction among attendees. During the event, the catering staff were conspicuously absent, leaving us to pick up the slack and handle tasks that should have been their responsibility. Adding to our frustration was the unexpected 23% additional fee, which the catering company failed to justify adequately. When questioned about this fee, we were met with vague explanations about covering costs, which left us feeling misled because they also leave room for minimum of 16% tip that must be paid BEFORE experiencing their service. You do the math. Overall, while the venue itself was stunning, the experience with Shooby Doo catering staff left a lot to be desired. The combination of subpar service, unexplained fees, and high pricing makes it difficult to recommend their services to others. You still have to use them if you have an event at the Waterfront. Don't get the chocolate cookies, or the deviled eggs on toast. If you go for the fruit plate, this cost us $1,710 plus tax. ($19 a person). The empanadas were yummy, the beef sliders were finished, and people complimented the salmon in puff pastry.

It is not cheap to have an event catered, period, but we wanted to have it be an extra-special celebration where we could enjoy ourselves with our guests without the hassle of preparing, warming, plating and serving food and making individual cocktails for everyone. Nola's came through, big time! Nola herself and her bartender, Brandi, arrived a couple of hours early and got themselves set up. We barely had to do a thing once we discussed with them where the bar and food platters should go. We got to just go upstairs and take our time getting ready, and come down a few minutes before the party start time and have Brandi fix us a drink to have in hand as our guests arrived. So luxurious! The party was so fun, thanks in large part to Nola and Brandi and the fabulous food, drinks, and service. Our guests raved about all of the yummy platters - particularly the shrimp with aioli sauce, the mushroom flatbread bites, the smoked salmon toasts, and the charcuterie board with roasted and pickled vegetables.
