Lord Hill Farms exceeded all our expectations. We booked them last summer for our late August 2025 wedding, and from the very beginning, their team was responsive and welcoming. As first-time wedding planners, we were nervous about pulling everything together. But LHF made the process feel seamless. With their all-inclusive offerings--catering, bar service, and even décor--they provided a detailed questionnaire that helped us visualize every aspect of our day. It truly felt like they were guiding us through the planning, not just hosting the event. The venue itself is stunning. If you've browsed their website, you already know how beautiful it is--but seeing it in person is something else. We saw our guests taking photos near the fountain and in the valley with the mountains creating the perfect summer backdrop. What really stood out, though, was the food and service. One of our aunts came over to our sweetheart table during dinner just to rave about the meal--the London Broil was perfectly tender, and the salmon was flavorful (and most importantly, not dry). They even made sure our vegetarian guests were well taken care of, which we deeply appreciated. Since most of our décor was DIY, we were a bit anxious about setup while still trying to stay relaxed on the big day. LHF made it easy. They had linens ready early and guided our families on where to place everything. The floor managers even stopped by while we were getting ready to introduce themselves and let us know they were available for anything we needed. Our son and his bride-to-be selected this venue for their wedding day. It is quite literally one of the most gorgeous venues and properties in Washington. We toured quite a few online, then selected our top 10 in person. We went in person to tour the grounds and immediately upon walking into the venue, my daughter-in-loves eyes LITERALLY began to twinkle. I knew right away she had fallen in love with Lord Hill Farms (LHF). And this was just us entering the reception hall. LHF properties and gardens are nothing short of exquisite. Walking thru the grounds it almost feels like Tuscan gardens. Views of the cascades. Small lakes and water fountains. The grass is beautifully green and the outdoor ceremony location has a beautiful spot over look g the lake on property and an arbor you just need to decorate. The building has a very well maintained and sexy masculine grooms room. With a. At broom on that side to keep him away from the bride. The brides room is bright and elegant with gigantic mirrors & great lighting for the ladies to get their hair and make up done. The reception are has several cozy "loungey" areas for you to sit and chat. One has a fireplace too. The bar is ample and nice but also not in your face so it doesn't take away from the venue or decor. They have chandeliers and twinkle lights already available and beautiful white drapery that makes this venue both magical and elegant at the same time. The indoor ceremony location is very nice. One of the benefits of this being ur is it can accommodate a large even. We expected 300. So when you enter the space you have beautiful pillars available to you, gold chevalier chairs lining the ceremony hall and a beautiful walk way to the stage. We rented and added the white drapes for the big reveal of the bride entering and it just made the space dreamy. The windows allow for a nice view of the outdoor grounds. The one caveat: make note of the sunset time and where the sun will be at the time of your ceremony. It was back lit so very difficult to see the bride, groom, wedding party and their faces as they were silhouetted. That was one big negative. We didn't know so we're t able to rent lighting or prep our photographer to prepare. Still waiting on pics, so hopeful that she was still able to shoot well given the challenging lighting situation. We did chose to have an indoor wedding ceremony because may is generally cold and wet. Who knew we had the most beautiful weather. The other nice thing is the venue does have audio equipment for both ceremony and reception hall. Food: with a large wedding event we went with their pasta bar. This is not basic. The chef honestly prepares a very flavorful well presented pasta bar. I am a total foodie and was expecting basic at the food tasting but it was far from that. In fact the food rating made us feel so special. The team at LHF do not leave any details out so you feel like you're popping in on someone's event. Everything from appetizers to dessert and wine. One miss is we had many gluten free guests and the team forgot to put a sign out for GF guests to request their plate so there was some confusion for many of those guests. So that was a call out I made note for the venue. It would have minimized confusion and hurt feelings. The reception hall: round and rectangular tables are available. They'll help work a nice floor plan for you. There is plenty of great lighting. A nice set up for dessert, coffee and tea, bar, DJ and areas for Photo Booth etc. we used round tables. Which also have the hood chavalier seats. When we arrived for set up, all our tables were ready for us to set up. They had white linens and silverware in pace. We opted to bring our own napkins, runners and did our own decor and it was beautiful! One note: they've change policies on lot candle/tapers, even if they are dripless. Unfortunately, we didn't find out until the day of. Which means I now have several hundred new and very expensive dripless candles I can't send back. So get yourself battery operated or candles that are IN. Container that covers the tip of the candle. I understand why, and tracy was kind enough to explain what had happened a couple weeks earlier. Unfortunately it's one bad experience that messes it up for the others. So keep that in mind if you want actual kit candles hey a full container for each one so you can have the candle lit vibe. Staff. In General the staff was very attentive, helpful and friendly. We had a couple little hiccups w a couple of their younger staff. But hole it up to youth and new work experience. Tracy and team were very receptive to the feedback. Pricing. Very reasonable for a full service. A venue that runs you 6k is not apples to apples. Be careful as you compare what you get. A Place I Can See Myself Getting Married In, And It Gives Me Existential Dread I was lucky to have the chance to visit this location due to a friend's party. It would be my first time in Snohomish, so it would be a new adventure for me as well. (If travelling from Bellevue, it is not so easy if you don't have a car, an Uber is expensive). When I drove in the residence, I could immediately think of my loved ones driving in to attend my event. I had a mini panic attack (the driver didn't seem to notice). The area before the hall was quite quaint, especially the awning right in front of the door where I could imagine taking the photos after the ceremony (pictures provided, not provided is my face of horror). And inside, my imagination went wild. There was enough space upstairs and downstairs to fit at least 100 people (note: I need 100 friends). There was an elevator, thus making it accessible for my grandmother with the bad hip to join the ceremony and the dance floor (to judge of course). There was even a little waiting room (pictured) where one could rest after speaking to Uncle Joe 5 times on the same topic. Overall, I think this could be a great venue for such an event. Getting there might be an issue but imagine leaving the place in your limo (or vehicle of choice) while looking back at the Lord Hill Farms sign behind you. Nice and different place for different types of parties or celebrations. Can handle various hundreds of people. My only concern would be parking. It is very spacious but don't know how many car spots are available. I was only on the inside of the first building. I am guessing it will also be lovely on the outside and during daylight. This building has two floors and you can really feel in a farm but at the same time, the structure is well decored :) Staff is friendly and well trained. Our friends got married here last November and though it was cold outside, the wedding was absolutely beautiful and the food was unforgettable!!! They decorated the place with really nice lights, flower petals, etc... and the seats at the tables were comfortable. The servers were really friendly and helpful too. The mashed potatoes and salads were exceptional... The only down side that I could spot was that in the upstairs reception area, you can kind of hear everything that is going on downstairs because of the echo... but as long as you have great piano/classical music playing in the background, that should tune everything out! read more

Beautiful space. It sits on top of this little hill where you can see a lot of beautiful greenery -bucolic scenery. The space in itself is nice. It's pretty large, probably good for a wedding or a big company party. It fit about 200+ people. I thought all the people who worked here were super nice and professional. The facility was pretty clean. Their catered food was pretty tasty. I enjoyed their beef on top of mashed potatoes. Their Mac and cheese was good too. read more

My husband and I recently had our wedding at Lord Hill Farms and it was everything we could have ever imagined. The venue is stunning and well kept. The food is delicious and we had many guests compliment on the food! The reception area is beautiful with a good size dance floor! LHF staff was wonderful to work with, answering both our emails and phone calls promptly. We couldn't have asked for a better experience with Lord Hill Farms. One thing I would suggest to brides that are interested in the venue is that I wouldn't recommend getting ready at the venue. The dressing room is pretty small and the lighting isn't the best. I came here as a guest for a company picnic. Prior to this I had no idea this place existed. Even from the top of the road it doesn't look like much, but was glad to see that once we were lead down a dirt road to the parking area there was a large picnic site. The parking was a little bit tight, but it was nice to have an attendant to help and it seemed to fit everyone present easily. The property itself seems quite large with quite a few activities to do. I was amazed to find a little mini golf area and a golfing range. There was also a basketball court, volleyball area, teether ball, ping pong, etc. My boyfriend is a huge fan of chess and was excited to find a large chess board on the grass with moveable pieces. There was a large blow up slide, which was quite fun and even allowed adults. The staff also facilitated some games for the picnic like tug o war, balloon toss, hula hoop competition and a sack race. The grass was a little wet this day which made some of the activities hard, but in great weather it would have been ideal. Food also met my expectations. I appreciated that they even had a vegan/vegetarian section set up, which I was not expecting. I was actually sad that I had eaten too much ahead of time since I anticipated there would be no food for me. They did seem to run out of things a few times, but they were quickly refilled. I also enjoyed the bagged chips and canned drinks. At the end there was an ice cream sundae bar. A cotton candy tent was also present, but it never seemed to work and I was disappointed to miss out. Since it was a little drizzly it was great to have some covered areas to eat. The large picnic tables fit the entire group easily. It did seem a bit strange that there were only 2 out houses for such a large space, but the waiting in line was minimal. I had not realized there would not be actual bathrooms at this location. Most of the reviews of this place are from brides or parents of the bride who chose this venue for their event. I'm writing this review as a GUEST attending a wedding. I attended both the late afternoon wedding and the evening rehearsal the previous day. They were both held during an excessive heat warning for the area. This venue has no AC (except in two tiny rooms that the bride and groom are supposed to get ready in), no air circulation and no windows that can be opened to let a breeze in. It was like being in a hot and humid cave. The loft area where the ceremony was held was unbearably hot (warm air rises folks!) The big floor to ceiling windows upstairs might seem like a nice backdrop except the light coming in put everyone in the wedding party in silhouette. I couldn't see the faces of the wedding party, much less the beautiful bride. The light coming in the big window also gave me eye strain. Another thing to consider if you're planning to rent this venue for an event is the lack of restrooms. This venue can easily hold 300 people, maybe more, but there are only two restrooms, one for men (1 urinal, 1 stall) and one for women (2 stalls) for the entire building. Of course, lines formed. And they did get messy and gross as the evening wore on. No one from the venue seemed responsible for stocking the paper towels or the toilet paper. If you're thinking of booking this place during the summer, just don't. You don't want your guests sitting in a sauna. If you're a guest who is invited here for an event during an excessive heat warning, you will be utterly miserable if you attend. read more

I got married here on January 24th, 2015 and can say that this venue over exceeded my expectations. Lisa is fabulous (as well as the rest of the staff!) - she always was available for any questions I had and even if she didn't have an answer, she would find out and email/call me back right away. We were able to rent French Creek Estates (their smaller venue right next door) for all of us girls to get ready and dressed in for a really inexpensive price and it ended up being the perfect place to get ready - I had a bridal party of eight ladies and had even more girlfriends want to get ready with us and the amount of room we had was MORE than enough. I completely recommend renting it for the four hours of your choice to get ready in. Lucky for me, my mother in law and a bunch of her friends took care of setting up the reception decor and they had wonderful things to say about Lord Hill Farm's staff. She said they were very helpful and seemed happy to be there - beforehand AND after during clean up. The decor that Lord Hill Farms had in there was MORE than I could've asked for. They had even more twinkle lights up from previous Christmas parties the month before and were kind enough to leave them up for my special day which just added even more ambiance. I had SO many compliments on the food that Lord Hill Farms provided for us. We chose the Basil Pesto Chicken which came with Caesar salad, seasonal vegetables, and bread rolls. However, we had a couple vegetarians in the family so we decided to add on the Pasta Bar option which included a Gorgonzola Cheese Pasta and a Marinara Pasta. I seriously still dream about the food. EVERYONE was so happy with how quickly the buffet went, too. We had about 160 people and we had everyone get through the buffet within about 35 minutes! Overall, we had so many compliments on how beautiful the venue was. We were so incredibly happy with how our wedding day turned out. I would recommend this venue to everyone! read more

Attended a wedding here this past weekend. It's a very nice venue, the grounds are great and the main building has good layout for events with the two floors. I was disappointed because both nights the waitstaff was acting like they wanted us to leave. At the rehearsal dinner they kept rushing out the courses as if we were over staying our welcome - why would you bring dessert when the bride is still clearly eating her main dish. At the wedding reception they kept bussing plates and glasses that people weren't done with from right is front of us! The bartender lady was nice. They were attentive to a few special diets. Mainly, I felt horrible for the bride and groom because they deserved better service for what they paid for. read more

My friend recently got married here. The venue is absolutely beautiful. The ceremony started around 5:30pm and was in the upstairs area. Which was stunning and very intimate. The staff made a rainy day into a gorgeous back drop for the vows. Candles were lit everywhere and large vases of flowers lined the huge window over looking the grassy pastures. Although one of the downfalls was that you could hear echoing, so anyone that talked below during the ceremony you could hear. The reception was nice and the food was fantastic. I am not a fan of buffets but they did a great job. The more weddings I attend, the more I question where I would like to get married? Lord Hill Farms would be on the top of that list (along with Bora Bora!) FYI: I did notice there is an elevator going from the reception area to the ceremony. read more

Management was not very understanding of their customers situations. They had binding contracts that put the customer on the hook for more money as you get closer to the wedding date. This may have been fine under normal circumstances however given the recent virus all we wished for as customers were some concrete plans as to what our options would be as our wedding date got closer. They basically said our wedding date was too far out and that our only option was to proceed as planned or cancel with no refund. They said they offered other people who's wedding was directly affected the option to either have their wedding with 50 people or less they could push the date further into 2020 but not offering customer to push it past 2020. My fiancé is in the medical industry and we both understood that the virus issue was not going away in 2020 however the venue would not budge on letting any of their customers reschedule to 2021, nor were they able to provide any reassurance to those of us with wedding dates further out in the year, using the excuse that they would go out of business if they allowed people to reschedule. All we wished for was some kind of reassurance of our options or a refund, as many of us, their customers are losing are jobs as well. Ultimately we made the hard decision to cancel our wedding with them after multiple attempts to try and compromise in some way, such as willing to move our wedding to a less popular weekday date in 2021. Ultimately we lost our 3k+ deposit, luckily we didn't lose more because we canceled early, but it sucks to see our money go to a venue that did absolutely nothing to earn it. I would not recommend this venue nor any venue that the owner of this establishment also owns. The company/venue was not flexible in any way and especially in a time were a lot of people are hurting both with the death of their loved ones and financially. Is it too much to ask to allow people to postpone until 2021 given that the world is in crisis? read more

Lord Hill Farms (LHF) is a beautiful venue with both outdoor and indoors. My wife and I were married there this summer. Due to the pandemic, we decided to host the entire wedding outdoors, which meant a lot more work. We had to plan for outdoor lighting and umbrellas because LHF does not provide these. We ended up hiring several 3rd party vendors for lighting and umbrellas. With a LOT of extra planning and cooperative weather, the outdoor wedding turned out to be great. Feedback on a few things that could/should have gone better with LHF: - There was a company event that was happening when we arrived at 11am for rehearsal and went all the way til 3:05pm. Our wedding started at 4:45pm. We had been promised that the entire venue was ours that day and the loud music playing was distracting for the wedding party and some of the early arriving guests. Had our wedding coordinator reach out to the front office twice and luckily the event ended before our ceremony. But this should not have happened. - Lunch food was missing the allergy sensitive orders -- which we had previously sent in with a list of all people and allergies on the contract. So my niece (allergic to eggs and nuts) did not have much to eat, the bride and her mother also did not have any gluten-free sandwiches that I had listed in the lunch orders. So they could only eat salad. My wife (the bride) then asked for a gluten-free sandwich and the staff said they could not make one.... even though they had previously agreed to on the contract. - The juice that had been ordered for dinner was not served at the reception, as far as I'm aware. - The specialty plate for my niece (with the allergies) was never delivered to her at the wedding reception. - We went with the buffet dinner option; however, several of our guests said the staff took away their plates before they had a chance to get a second or third serving, even though there was plenty of food still. - The director (Tracy) at LHF seemed to have a very bad memory. We asked her to explain reception dinner pricing from the menu, such as: drinks, buffet vs plated vs specialty, so we could calculate total pricing and compare different options. As we explored our options, we had to call multiple times to confirm each option. Each time she would tell us something slightly different. She even asked us, "Who gave you these numbers?" And we'd tell her, "You did!" It took a long time to finalize the dinner section of the contract due to back-and-forth and mistakes on price quotes. In total, at least 10-15 phone calls and emails. read more

My girlfriend just got married here last weekend and it was BEAUTIFUL. The lawn area is HUGE! She had about 250 chairs set out in the lawn. And I liked how when the bridal party walked down there was this path all the way up to the alter so you didn't have to walk in grass and have your heels sink in. The food was delicious and the in door reception area is beautiful. The bridal party room for us girls was right across from the bathroom so that was convenient so she won't be seen. But it got SO STUFFY in there. Especially since we had to wait a while for the ceremony to start and guest to arrive. I give this place 4 stars because the bride works for a catering company and she said that LHF's was nice and accommodating at first but then they just got really stingee and nickled and dimed her for things. IE Charging $1.50 per slice to cut the cake?! WTF. And not letting us bring in food/snacks for the bridal party while we waited up in the rooms forever. I think that is bullshit. So brides just beware upfront and know what you are negotiating so you don't get screwed. In the end we worked it out but it is that much more stressful for the bride who is already paying a fortune to host this event. read more

Lord Hill Farms did an amazing job hosting our annual Company Picnic. "Best Picnic Ever" and "Let's do it there again next year" are the most commonly heard comments around the office. From the beginning we knew we were getting great service. When we visited the site we knew we were in love. What a gorgeous setting! Tracy provided a list of activities for us to choose from as well as a great menu. The activities and the menu were what made Lord Hill stand out from other picnic venues. Their food was more original and their activities were well designed. Activities: The picnic site was so beautiful and perfectly equipped to please both children and adults. We were able to design the perfect combilnation of adult and kid activities: driving range, paddle boats on the pond and the competetive games were the biggest hit. The staff was really creative about how these were run which made them more fun that the usual games. We turned the driving rage into a comptetive game and gave out kindle fires to the two best drivers. The kids had the best time! The facepainter was a real artist who did the entire face and turned the kids into little animals - not your typical flower on a cheek kind of stuff! The biggest hit had to be the HUGE slip and slide that Lord Hill built into the side of the hill. It was amazing. Food: Lord Hill provided tons of options for us. There was a great selection of toppings for our burgers and the veggies in the crowd were well pleased with the veggie burgers. the quinoa salad was a hit as well. The ice cream tractor was perfect! Staff: The staff was great and there were plenty of them at the food stations, the activities and in the back office. The staff made the picnic fun by being excited and energetic. We had nearly 100 guests at our picnic but the location could host at least twice that. That said, we never felt small and were able to spread out and fill it up with fun activities. We just had our company picnic at Lord Hill, and while I can not speak to all the amenities, the food we had was delicious. I had some AWESOME corn on the cob which I could not stop eating, and which came with three different types of herby butter. (Chile lime butter, rosemary butter, garlic butter...take your pick. But this corn was so good you could eat it without the butter if you wanted. That's how good it was.) The rest of the food was pretty competently served, if not as memorable as the DELICIOUS corn. Whatevs. I could have eaten corn all day long. They also provided lots of little carts with bottled water and soft drinks--good to have out on a warm August afternoon. The grounds were well-kept and comfortable with a plethora of small tents and trees to provide shade, as well as the large central pavillion where most of us ate. The grass was soft and wonderful for the bare-footed. We played a little frisbee before lunch, and went out on the paddle boats. Parking was plentiful and well-directed. No hodgepodge of cars leading to people getting stuck. Signs directed you to the various features like the paddle boats or the horseshoe pits. (There was also a sand volleyball court, a big field where folks played flag football, inflatable slides and lazer tag, and so on. I don't know how much of this was provided by Lord Farms itself, but the setup was varied and there seemed to be something for everyone.) read more

However due to the COVID 19 outbreak, we tried tor reschedule but eventually had to cancel because this place ABSOLUTELY REFUSED to refund a single dime of our downpayment (we lost around $7000) even if we rescheduled for a later date, and even though the wedding was more than 3 months away.a. Its understandable that these places need to keep their operations going so keeping maybe Half the funds is reasonable, but when they refuse to refund a single dime shows that apparently, we're NOT all in this together, and they value $$$ more than customer relations. Would seriously consider a different Venus. read more

My wife and I held our reception here for over 200 guests. Initially, we were blown away with the beauty of the surrounding valley and mountains and the friendliness of the staff, but this was the only good part of our experience here and quickly faded as reality hit full force. Kelly W's review couldn't be more right on in that LHF's needs to invest some money into sound deadening the downstairs so you don't hear every single sound. From laughing in the bathrooms to toilets flushing, you hear everything. We actually had to go back and tell the kitchen staff to not make so much noise during the toasts at our reception. On top of the loudness of the downstairs, the kitchen staff burned food, which resulted in the fire alarm going off in the middle of our dinner and the fire department coming in to do a full sweep of the grounds. It was a huge inconvenience and took over 30 minutes. The unmarried bridesmaids enjoyed the firemen, but us guys were less than amused. Nobody from the venue came and apologized or even admitted it was their fault the fire alarms had gone off. As a chef and someone who owns my own catering company I am well aware of how food should be presented and taste. I also know how caterers cut corners and skimp, which is exactly what Lord Hill Farms did. We purchased a first entree of an expensive beef for 200 guests and added a second entree of chicken. My fiance didn't want to have a double entree, but as a chef I insisted on it and I'm glad we did. Not even half way through our dinner service (still over 100 guests waiting to be served) my best man came up to me and discreetly informed me that they were already out of the beef and 2 of our 3 sides (mashed potatoes and mac n cheese). I quietly and discreetly went over to the catering manager in the kitchen and asked her what was going on. She informed me they had miscalculated the quantities on the beef and several of the sides and they were completely out. I was a little peeved considering it was their staff serving the beef at a carving station, so nobody attending could be blamed for taking too much food. This was simply LHF's way of skimping and keeping thousands of extra dollars and not delivering what they promised. The catering manager informed me, "there's plenty of chicken and salad", but that's not what we paid for. We paid for beef as our first entree and then paid an additional $15.95 per plate to add chicken, making our per plate cost nearly $45 per person. It is ridiculous that they would run out of anything and then say "there's other food left" when clearly they ran out of food. I am a very gracious and patient person, but the response from the catering manager was rude, unprofessional and frankly unacceptable. I informed her that I would be calling and asking for the owners on Monday and she laughed straight to my face and said "good luck on getting them to do anything". I was shocked at her response. I was hopeful that talking to the owners would provide some resolve to our reception, boy was I wrong. I called and spoke to the owner that next week and to my amazement the owner said after consulting with her catering manager that since chicken remained as an option for our guests that she did not feel obligated to refund any portion of the catering costs. I explained to her that we were spending almost $15,000 at her establishment with food and alcohol and that not refunding a portion when the caterer clearly ran out of food we paid was unacceptable. We paid for beef and sides for all 200 of our guests. She stuck to her guns and did not refund a dime. I was thankful that we had email trails between the catering manager, myself and the owner, because my credit card company did not feel the same way as the owner and catering manager and decided to refund over $2,500 of the catering bill. As soon as this refund was issued, withing 2 weeks a brand new charge was received from LHF's for you guessed it, $2500. AMAZING!!! They actually charged my credit card the amount their account was debited by my card company due to their negligence. In the end I received 2 more charges and my credit card company removed both and changed my card number so they could no longer do this. This is totally unethical and shady and they should loose their charging privileges for abusing this. What's really too bad about this whole situation is that the catering manager and owners could have been much more professional and caring about what was clearly their fault. A simple "We're sorry" accompanied with a few thousand dollars of refund would have been much more professional than what we experienced. It's actually the Remlinger Family (Remlinger Farms) that owns Lord Hill Farms. Shame on them for being concerned only about dollars and profits over someone's experience on their wedding day. A word to the wise, make sure you get what you pay for if you go here. I wouldn't chance it though, there are plenty of better options in the area. read more

Lord Hill Farms has it all! Their food/catering is astounding! They do the set up of the banquet tables or serve, depending on the preferred style. The setting is BEAUTIFUL for photographs!! They also set out and take down everything for you (except for decor you bring). One of the Chefs came up to me (as planner) and said they wanted to know exactly what the grandparents want, because they get served their food, rather than waiting in the buffet line. WOW! I attended a wedding here as a guest. The reason I am giving this place three stars is because for an indoor ceremony, it needs work. You can hear EVERYTHING that was happening downstairs during the ceremony because the second floor where they do the ceremony is a loft and there is no ceiling to act as a buffer so every sound ECHOES. People walking on the wooden floor, the event staff setting up and talking, someone getting paper towels out of the electronic dispense in the bathroom, every sound is magnified. Also, then sun shines directly in the window behind the alter which means all you can see is a silhouette of the ceremony. All the detail and beautiful moments were not shared by the guests because of this. The reception however, was beautiful. The food was great, the staff was helpful, even the guy at the carving station who admitted he was tipsy when we called him out...really??... The single speaker does make it hard to hear, and I would recommend they fix that. All in all we had a great time, loved the ability to go out in the gardens and cool off, danced the night away and I'm sure the pictures will gorgeous. read more

Lord Hill Farms was the only venue my fiancé and I looked and and we were sold as soon as we walked in! It is a stunning venue and the staff there are a amazing. One huge plus for us was the fact that we were getting married in January, and at LHF you can have your ceremony upstairs, and then just walk downstairs where your reception is already set up! We didn't want to make people drive to a separate reception venue or have people stand outside (in the freezing cold) while tables were set up after the ceremony, so this venue was exactly what we were hoping to find. The wedding planning process was so overwhelming to me, but working with Lisa and Tracy made it an absolute breeze. The staff is so on top of everything here. They give you schedules of when various deposits are due, when you should have your catering meeting, when the food tastings are, forms you need to fill out, etc, which seriously make it so easy. Of all the stresses I had during the wedding planning process, dealing with LHF wasn't stressful in the least. Early on when we went to our food tasting, it was so difficult deciding what to get because everything we tried was amazing. We ended up going with various appetizers and then the asiago chicken and garlic mashed potatoes. I was a little worried that the food wouldn't be as good at the wedding as it was at the tasting, since they were making it for 100+ people, but that wasn't the case at all. In fact, after the wedding countless people told us that they had never had food so good at a wedding before! I totally agree! At your catering meeting, they help you to decide how much food and alcohol to get based on your anticipated guest count. I can't tell you how helpful this is. When my sister got married, the venue she chose didn't offer catering service so she had to figure all of that out on her own (how much food to get per person, alcohol, etc) and they ended up with WAY too much of both, which they had to pay for. LHF prepares the exact amount of food that you will need (plus a few extra in case some people are super hungry!), which is so nice because you aren't paying for extra food that no one is going to eat. As for the alcohol, if you end up with too much and a case of alcohol goes unopened, they will reimburse you for that amount (if one is partially opened they will let you take the extra bottles home, though). We were so lucky that it didn't rain on our wedding day in January, so we were able to utilize the gorgeous grounds for pictures. Our pictures from both the inside and outside of the venue turned out perfectly, and if this place is that beautiful in the dead of winter I can't even imagine how gorgeous it would be in the summer! The inside of the venue is truly stunning, with chandeliers everywhere and gorgeous twinkle lights. They have so many decorating options available to rent, with tons of different colored linens, table chargers, various flower arrangements and candles, etc. They allow you to make it uniquely you, not including any decorations that you bring in yourself (if you choose-but you almost don't need to with all of the options they have!). I had stressed about possibly needing to hire a wedding planner, but working with this venue I found that I didn't need to. They work with you to take care of all the essentials, much like a wedding planner would. I would absolutely recommend Lord Hill Farms to anyone who is looking for a stunning venue that helps to make your wedding day as stress free as possible! read more

Hosted my daughter's wedding 10/19/19. The day was truly special and smooth sailing. This venue is a rustic style yet elegant. The staff work with you throughout the process. The staff are on site the entire event and wish to make you happy any way they can. The food was amazing and multiple guests commented. We chose to do floral within as well and the flowers were gorgeous! The separate ceremony space is ideal, do not need to have a cocktail hour as dinner space is ready to go right after the ceremony. The grounds are scenic and offer beautiful photo ops. We traveled almost 2 hrs back and forth as we planned and it was totally worth it! Thanks LHF. read more

Christmas in February! We just had our company Christmas party here last night and it was nice. We have our company picnic here as well. It's a nice venue, big and pretty, with lots of lush green fields - not last night obviously, but for picnics, weddings, etc. this is a nice outside venue, and catering is included. They dooded up the barn for us last night with little white lights inside, etc. The only thing that sucked was we had to park way in the back, lighting was pretty much nonexistent and I stepped in a huge puddle, soaking my shoes and fancy pants up above my ankles - that probably could have been prevented with some better lighting. But other than that, Lord Hill Farms does a nice job with big parties - our party last night was 300 and our picnic is usually 700. read more

I just got married here on November 29th and have to say that everything was just perfect. The venue itself should be a selling point because it's GORGEOUS for both indoor and outdoor weddings but here are my biggest pro's (mine was indoors): - I loved that the ceremony space was in the same building but a different space. There is a lovely loft upstairs with chandeliers and a giant window that made the ceremony feel very intimate and romantic then the reception hall downstairs. We had about 175 guests and we felt like we had plenty of room. - I lived out of the state for most of my engagement so I had to do all my communications through email. The staff was FANTASTIC. Tracy, Lisa and Jaque were always quick to email me back and send pictures or answer any questions I had. I seriously emailed like 4 times a week so I really appreciated that. - They were one of the only venues that I looked at that I would call "all inclusive". Your contract included a TWELVE (12), yes twelve hour rental, all the set up of chairs and tables, they did the food, the drinks, everything. The only thing was that if you want real glasses you have to rent those (or else you get plastic ones but that was better since people were out dancing with those and I didn't want broken glass). You can opt to bring in your own drinks if you want but they will refund whatever wine cases aren't open which is awesome. - Food was FANTASTIC. All my guests loved everything. We had the winter salad, vegetables, chicken assaggio, and London broil. All really delicious. I don't really have any con's but the only thing I wasn't SUPER stoked about: - The bridal suite has no natural light which was difficult for pictures. It's a very small room (there were 7 of us and we were cramped). BUT Lord Hill Farms also owns French Creek Estates down the road so you could rent out that space if you really wanted to. I would 100% recommend getting married here - they will take care of everything for you and it is an absolutely beautiful place to say "I Do!" read more

I was a bridesmaid in my friend Rachel's wedding here a few weeks ago. The venue is gorgeous both inside and outside. I have found that venues that offer both indoor & outdoor weddings usually tend to lack in one of the two areas (pretty outside but lacking inside or vice versa). From start to finish: Rehearsal: Two days before the wedding we had the rehearsal scheduled for 5:00. We only had the venue for one hour & were told in advance that if we went over one hour we would be fined. The bride told everyone to be there by 4:45 bc she was obviously not trying to get fined. There was a huge accident on Hwy 9 that blocked the entire valley for two hours. Lord's Hill is not an easy area to get to, especially if you live in Mill Creek/Bothell like 90% of the bridal party & their families did. Rachel called the venue & let them know the situation an hour before the rehearsal. Of the 20-30 people that were attending the rehearsal, only 3 made it on time. The rest of the people showed up around 6:15. We finished within an hour. Rachel was freaking out that they were going to get fined even though the reason everyone was late was literally something beyond her control. It's been almost a month since her wedding & she hasn't seen a fine from the venue. I'm pretty sure they would have had a problem with it if it were the busy summer season, but since we were the only rehearsal that night they were really understanding. Getting ready: I have to say that the bridal suite at the actual Lord Hill Farms venue lacks in sooo many ways. It is super tiny, & only has enough room for maybe 5 people to comfortably get ready. It has no windows, & it just overall really dark & cramped. With that said, they have a smaller venue a few houses down the road called French Creek Estates. It is a cute historic house with a lot of bedrooms, large mirrors, & huge windows. It was also covered in lady bugs throughout the house which I thought was SO cute bc it's a "good luck" thing. There were about 15 people getting ready throughout the house so the amount of space was perfect. Ceremony: I loved the upstairs where the ceremony took place bc it is huge & opens up on the sides so it overlooks to the downstairs. It's hard to explain but it's very open & big Reception: The big staircase made for a really cool grand entrance for the bride & groom when they came downstairs to the reception area. I loved the candles on the wall behind the cake table. The bar & seating area for the bar was really cool too bc it gave guests the option to not be confined to their table the entire night. The food was really good as well. The decor overall was beautiful & tied in really well with the wedding. This venue was really awesome overall & if it wasn't for my friend having her wedding here I would have mine here. It's beautiful & the staff seemed the genuinely care about the bride's needs throughout the whole process. :) read more

Lord Hill Farm is a beautiful venue, absolutely gorgeous. My daughter's wedding at this location was breathtakingly beautiful and she had the wedding of her dreams. My older daughters were both married at a different venue, so it was interesting to compare the differences. There were very large differences and I'm sad to say that Lord Hill Farm did not compare to the treatment, quality and support experienced at our previous experience. I feel compelled to write a report in hopes that improvements can be made. In my previous experience as mother of the bride, the whole attitude was "what can we do for you?" With LHF it was always a feeling of 'these are the rules, no bending them'. Our first meeting was quite shocking when my daughter and I peaked into a room in which the door was already open and were quickly scolded for looking inside, it was "off limits". (We were later told that the gal with us was having a bad day) From the beginning, I mentioned that the seat cushions in the ceremony area were quite soiled and stained. I was told that this would be resolved and it was even noted in our file, but they were just as soiled and stained the day of the wedding. Our rehearsal was on a Thursday night because we were told Friday was busy with another wedding. There was no Friday wedding, but our tables, eating utensils, settings were out by Thursday afternoon, with people in and out, even though they would not be used for eating until Saturday night. At rehearsal I noticed that the floors and carpet were both filthy. I asked that this be swept and vacuumed prior to our wedding that was two days away. When we arrived to set up for the wedding, the only thing done was that a 6'x6' piece of black carpet downstairs had been vacuumed, but not the aisle where the aisle runner would go. Nothing else had been vacuumed and the downstairs floor had not been swept, we had to do it, even though we asked the very young person "in charge" to please have someone sweep it. The correct tables and size of tables were not left out for us for use at the wedding/reception as requested. LHF is very strict regarding what they must know far in advance, but the same considerations didn't seem to be returned. I did feel sorry for this young person in charge, as not only was he/she in charge of our work party, set up needs, but also the needs of a large company picnic further down on the grounds. We were surprised that such a loud and large event had been scheduled next to us. We had to ask that their music to be turned down prior to our event. There were times that we needed assistance or had questions but could not locate him/her for help. We had to ask for several of the table cloths to be replaced as they were visibly stained; there was ashy soot on the wedding cake table that we ended up having to hide. Each table for ten people was given one small salt and pepper shaker set and most were have full which we all found very tacky. We requested two sets of shakers per table and for each bottle to be filled. At the reception, although my own meal was delicious, I ended up hearing the next day of several wedding guests feeling that their meat was very much undercooked and had also experienced symptoms of food poisoning the next day. Following dinner at the reception, most of the tables were left full of dirty dishes, silverware and glasses for a of couple hours. Not ok. Although we paid extra for "cake service", cake slices from extra sheet cakes in front of guests, and the plates set around the cake table on large trays. We had asked that they be discreetly cut in kitchen, then taken to guests. It was a large wedding and I finally asked the bridesmaids and groomsmen to pass out the cake to our guests. I did ask the "cake service" people if they could to do so but was told no. This was my second time in two years being involved in a LHF wedding/reception. Both times on the days on the events, the only staff available were very young people, teenagers and young adults and often times really not sure if what to do or how. We never saw this as their fault, but poor training or instruction. I am not a complaining type person and hate giving such a poor review, but with the price that is paid to use this venue, it should be immaculate in it's cleanliness and it was not. There are so many inflexible rules to follow in using LHF and the respect demanded of the parties renting the venue. Those running the show at LHF need to greatly improve on their end in the cleanliness of the venue, communication within, efforts to listen more to the wishes of the wedding parties, and maybe more professionalism, maturity and training in who is present during the event. The whole wedding venue thing is such a roaring business now and it is so very expensive; the customers deserve the very best in care and treatment in planning and carrying out such a special day and should not arrive to the conditions we arrived to. read more
