My now husband and I could not say no to a venue that was 1) beautiful 2) great price 3) had a closet full of decor we could use and 4) responsive owners that answered any questions that came their way. The decor planning was relatively easy since we used pieces from the closet for our entrance and reception tables. Most folks said I didn't look stressed throughout the process, and I believe most of that stemmed from Gray Bridge making it incredibly simple for us to use their items. We just had to take care of personal pieces, such as the entrance sign or guestbook. The only downside to this place is the drive, which is roughly an hour away from Seattle (or 1.5X during traffic time). We overcame that by starting our ceremony earlier than usual (330PM) so we could have our guests enjoy the venue for roughly 7.5-8 hours. Another perk to this venue is they allow any vendors onsite. We weren't stuck with having to buy X cases of wines at wineries or sticking with food caterers that were not on par to the quality we were looking for. Overall, I highly recommend you checking out this place and booking ASAP since their dates fill up well a year in advance.

To start with, the venue is absolutely gorgeous (our wedding was in June). We wanted a beautiful PNW backdrop to show our out of state guests and that is definitely what we got - everyone complimented us on it later! Gray Bridge is set up in a thoughtful layout that makes wedding days flow smoothly while also providing smaller, intimate moments for photos, games, mingling, etc. Additionally, Stacy and Matt go above and beyond to make sure everything is on track and the venue is set up to each couple's specific wedding day vision. It took so much of the uncertainty out of wedding planning to know that we were in such good hands and that Stacy and Matt had great relationships with our vendors, which really goes a long way. Finally, all the decor available to borrow definitely kept costs (and stress) down! We definitely hope to be back here as guests someday :)

We had a small, intimate wedding of about 50 guests. Because the weather was cold, we had the ceremony and reception indoors and it was just the right amount of space. The buildings are clean and cozy. The caretaker was friendly and helpful. I loved how flexible and accommodating she was. The rental price was very reasonable. Many of our guests complimented the venue and its beauty! There are many ways you can arrange a wedding here, but we had the ceremony in the house in front of huge windows overlooking the deck and lake. There were bedrooms we used for dressing rooms in the back. In the next room was a kitchen with fridge and oven. We used the oven to keep food warm. We had the reception in the next building over, called the "Meadow Room." It was a spacious room with a sink, gas furnace and restrooms just outside. They had plenty of tables and chairs and we were even able to hang decorations from the ceiling. We took most of the professional photos outside in the natural beauty, which was perfect! We got to start setting things up the night before, so the morning wasn't super crazy! Working with Kendra and Adrienne was superb! They are so kind and helpful making sure you have everything that you need, and all questions are answered. Kendra helped set up the weekend and every time we got to chat, she remembered all of our details and had the best suggestions for vendors and layouts. Adriene was there day of and helped answer last minute questions, located parking signage, and managed vendor questions with ease! The lodge made some recent upgrades so the ceremony and reception space (new tables and arch) was absolutely gorgeous! A week or so later, we received a notification that the venue owner declined to refund our $1,500 damage deposit, accusing us of "taking advantage of her" by having more guests than she said we booked for. At the time we booked the venue, the owner's website said "sleeps up to 30 guests with up to 75 day guests at day of event," and that's what we thought we had paid for (we had about 60 people attend the ceremony, and about 20 overnight guests). Sounds reasonable, no? The owner thought we were only having 30 people attend the wedding (who has only 30 people attend a wedding?), and when she stopped by during our wedding to pick up some items, and saw that there were more than 30 people, she concluded we were intentionally trying to cheat or deceive her. We didn't realize there was a problem until we received the notification from VRBO that she was withholding our deposit money, which included badmouthing us, saying she had to get the carpets cleaned after just having done them before our event. She was not transparent in her communication to us prior to this. We felt that the owner found an opportunity to keep our damage deposit, and took it. Bottom line, the owner is not customer-focused, seeming much more concerned with short-term profit gain from her venue. Regarding the property itself, it is not stellar. -The owner does not maintain the quality of the house at the level that it needs to be for its market rental rate. -The exterior of the house has cracked paint on the siding. -The interior is musty but serviceable. -Even though the house is advertised as being a large multi-acre property, they do not keep the landscape maintained, such that you can hardly walk out safely on the lawn without walking into a mole hole or thorns poking your legs. I wouldn't let small kids roam around on the property - lots of landscape hazards! So you pretty much just have the house and the backyard to use safely. Be WARY. Save your time and money and book another venue, and definitely don't book this estate for an important event. It has been stressful to go through the aftermath of dealing with an owner with questionable business practices. Don't make the same mistake.

Talk about a hidden gem! This is a wonderful riverside venue that is an up-and-comer for engaged couples - and the secret will be out soon! The hills of Granite Falls form the perfect backdrop for a large, outdoor wedding. And while the backdrop satisfies the aesthetic desires of engaged couples, every other accommodation comes courtesy of the River Valley Oasis staff. All afternoon and evening, nothing stood out more to me than their gracious, attentive service. James (the manager) and his crew took time to show me the venue and made sure I was well-prepared to take care of the couple. They were active throughout the day coordinating space, power, and extra supplies for all the vendors. The backyard area has a vast lawn, which is filled with log benches and other neat rural fixtures, including barn-roof cocktail areas and a rustic wooden swing that was perfect for wedding photos. The whole area is lined with neatly trimmed bushes and colorful flowers. The River Valley Oasis has a spacious, white tent in the back of the main grass lawn, with seating for 180. Around the corner from the main lawn, down a path of flowered arches is a beautiful garden. Right out of a movie, the area backs up directly to the stream for which the River Valley Oasis is named. Surrounded by flowers and trees, the garden is ideal for a dream romantic ceremony. The path to the garden also makes a processional and recessional aisleway. Despite its size, every inch of this space has a rural appeal that simply can't be beat. Both the Groom and Bridal suites are emblematic of the River Valley Oasis' unique charm. The bride and bridesmaids have an ornate, mirror-laden room near the front of the venue, while the groom and groomsmen have their own raised cabin (that was open-faced toward the river) to carouse in before the festivities! I highly recommend the River Valley Oasis -- it has it all!
