Botched: Dr. Groves read another patient's medical file and…read moreinserted the wrong size implants. Prior to the surgery, I authorized Dr. Groves to implant one of three sizes. I did not authorize him to deviate from the operative plan. During surgery, Dr. Groves reviewed the wrong patient's file. He then inserted a size far different from any authorized size. In the operative note he wrote, "I felt this was the correct size for her." Six days post-surgery, at my first post-op appointment, Dr. Groves acknowledged he had reviewed a different patient's file. His exact words were, "I looked at the wrong note. I looked at the wrong sizes. So, it was all on me." Because of his malpractice, I had to recover from one botched surgery knowing I would have to undergo another surgery and painful recovery. I am happy to discuss my experience with anyone considering undergoing a procedure.

And all the while, too many times patients are charged for missed visits, not meeting appointment times. Though this was a follow up and for another injection, I had had several very bad side effects from the biological. Before taking the initial injection I inquired about side effects and if not mistaken, felt I was mislead with this medicine. The interaction between Skin Care Physicians and this pharmaceutical company (Skin Care Physicians' support of this biological through paid lectures and research) feels awkward (though legal) and perhaps is not in my best interest regarding my health. The pharmaceutical company to order an Rx also called me almost every week promoting the biological and I had to block their phone number. All of this has left me with a very uncomfortable feeling due to the aggressiveness of promoting this drug, refilling an Rx, this entity and their interaction with the big pharma. I will not return to Skin Care Physicians.

Our eldest son and I usually saw one of the P.A's who was also very helpful, caring and attentive, but relocated to another city. Dr. Greenberg was very helpful even when it was not convenient to him. A few years ago, another doctor on a previous visit removed a mole from my husband as a skin cancer concern. A few days later it began to bleed and wouldn't stop. When my husband called from work that Friday he was told no one would be there to help that day, but when he drove in from work anyway, Dr. Greenberg immediately took care of him and stopped the bleeding. Dr. Greenberg's professionalism, integrity and genuine care mean the world to us when addressing family health concerns. We look forward to Dr. Judah Greenberg's continued care.

You have found your surgeon, staff and hospital! Now for details. I was given Dr. Bagnato's name from a friend. A referral was made through my PCP and consult visit was set up. With my insurance, I had prerequisites that had to be fulfilled prior to surgery. The staff made sure I understood what they were, gave me handout information and made referrals to in-network physicians. After six long months, I was able to make the call to schedule surgery and schedule pre-op. The staff has been so unbelievably polite and friendly. Not once have I had the vibe of "I hate my job." They have always been smiling, caring, approachable and accommodating and this has not gone unnoticed. Pre-operative education class were beneficial. Office is comfortable, open and clean. The office alone has a five star rating. Lastly, Dr. Bagnato's bedside manner is wonderful. He is a busy doctor but once he is in an exam room, he is focused on individual patient needs. If you get nervous in doctor's offices, make a list of questions. He is very open to questions and doesn't make you feel rushed. I cannot speak highly enough about my experiences in the past year.
