Excellent service, good food, and loads of TVs for watching the games! We got the recommendation from the guy working at Island Hoppin' to come here to watch the Huskies game and it was exactly what we were looking for. Having had some good brews and snacks earlier in the afternoon it was nice to mosey on over here for dinner and the game. The place was completely full when we arrived and we were fortunate to get a table of a group that had just left and the table needed to be wiped down. The two servers looked were both super friendly and helpful and it was a great experience. I am always skeptical about ordering fish at places that are dives or offer billiards in the back, but the server highly recommended the special halibut on angel hair so I decided to give it a try. There were only two halibut left as shortly after ordering they wiped the menu with the specials listed. The clam strips were as expected, and the side salad didn't look like much, but had a good vinaigrette dressing alongside it. The halibut was everything I could have hoped for and more - fresh, not fishy, atop a perfectly prepared bed of angel hair pasta with a nice butter/cheese sauce that was just right to share between two people. Had I eaten the whole dish by myself it may have been too much for one sitting, but the dish was not oxersauced by any means. Looks can be deceiving - wouldn't have normally stopped here based off the exterior but the food was a great value. The tavern is 21+ only. The fish and chips were excellent and hit the spot. The exterior was crunchy and not too greasy while the fish itself definitely had a good flavor without it being overwhelming. The fries were crispy and well coated. The cole slaw didn't have much flavor and was a bit watery but I didn't mind. Where the great value truly comes into play was with the chicken tenders. The bowl was absolutely steaming when it arrived (free facial? Haha) so we knew they were fresh and it was almost overflowing. The staff was very accommodating which was nice considering we had just left a restaurant for having poor service. Wouldn't hesitate to grab a bite from here next time I am visiting the island. read more

Went to Orcas Island with friends whose family owns a cabin. Spent a day and a half off the grid until Sunday when we wanted to watch the Seahawks game. We drove into town to stop at this dive bar. I was told the servers are nice and that they have a chicken Caesar pita that was good. Our server was very attentive and the wing appetizer and onion rings were delicious. The chicken Caesar pita was odd. The dressing was average and the chicken was good, but the salad part contained shredded carrots which was abnormal and not appealing. The messed up on our friends order and we were trying to tell the younger server to help us fix the issue and she told us basically to hurry up and tell her whose food she was holding. The answer was nobody's but my friend took the food anyways to get over the awkwardness of the junior server. Food good, overall service from oldest server great. The young people need to learn respect. read more

This is one of the only places with vegan options at lunchtime during the weekend in Eastsound. We got a Veggie Burger (patty has dairy, but can swap with simply meatless patty) and a Simply Meatless Burger both with fries. The burgers were pretty average but the fries were nice and crispy and not overly salty! The staff is friendly but the service is pretty slow, so plan to spend some time here if you come. We were visiting Orcas Island staying at the Outlook Inn. Convenient walk and open for lunch. My family enjoyed the cozy, cabin atmosphere. Food was delicious and served hot. Lots of restaurants weren't open so it was nice to find them open. read more

Generous portions. Got our order to go because we came as a family with a dog- sign was clear: no minors, no dogs, masks required! Buffalo chicken salad: tasty, great portion, bbq sauce was sweet and tangy. Chicken tenders and fries for the kids- also delicious, fries tasted like our college cafeteria. We came here to hang out and watch the game yesterday. I was all set to order a drink but was informed that they only carry beer and wine (sad face). We ended up sharing a bottle of Prosecco that was only $18. You would never find a deal like that in Seattle. We ordered popcorn shrimp and mozzarella sticks. The sticks were pretty good but the shrimp was "meh" at best. This place has a fun vibe as everyone comes out to watch the game and hang. I ordered food to go as I was visiting Orcas island with my family so I didn't get the bar experience but I will say that their food was amazing. I got fish and chips, the southwest burger and grilled cheese. All 3 items didn't dissapoint. :) I can't wait to go back for the bar experience and hopefully edit this review to 5 stars. read more

A little under whelming. I wanted a Spire Peach Cider, which they were out of so I ordered a Cherry cider, but when she bright it to me it was a passion fruit/orange/guava Cider. I still drank it though. Now on to the food... We wanted calamari and clams but they were out of both of them. Asked about clam chowder, only served on Thursday's. Then a French dip, but they were out of beef, so we settled for the Halibut and Fries basket. The fish pieces were smaller than the palm of my hand and were dried out. So not worth 17.99. You would think being a few blocks from the ocean they would have something fresh, but nope, all store bought frozen food. They have great reviews, so maybe we hit them on the wrong night, but still, it was frozen food. read more

Very popular place with the locals and one of the few options available during the early week. We had the Halibut and chips for dinner and it was fantastic. The service was quick even though the place was very crowded. The food was served hot and delicious. The prices were very reasonable. We liked it so much we came back for To Go meals a couple of days later that we took to the top of Mt. Constitution and enjoyed with a view. I would recommend this to anyone visiting the area. Don't be fooled - this place is absolutely sub par. Service was so slow and the burger was mediocre at best. The fish and chips was so terrible we couldn't finish them. Overcooked and greasy AF. The onion rings basically tasted like deep fried packing peanuts. Save yourself some serious disappointment and don't go here. read more

I give five stars because everything I ordered, three bud light beers, was excellent, and because the server let us three sit at a table and not order any food. They also let me play my two "country" songs at their open mic, hosted by a very skillful and energetic chap whose name I only was able to retain and use that night. The band that backed him, and any performer who wished it, was equally talented and I would recommend going even if you don't have "standup comedy, a song to sing, a poem, or just want to get up and read a grocery list," as was encouraged. This is a fantastic place to visit when you come to the island! The staff is personable and attentive, the food is delicious and it's central to Eastsound which is perfect for walking to from many locations. The owner is highly involved in daily operations and it shows. The best part is that they're open daily and stay open pretty late. I can't recommend this establishment enough. read more

We came here twice during a recent Orcas getaway, mostly due to the place having plenty of sports on TV. Unfortunately we did not have a great experience either time. Food wise: BLT was great. Salmon burger had plenty of salmon, but not a lot of flavor Sweet Potato fries are waffle cut and were quite overdone, although there were plenty of them. Their chips consist of a small bag of Lays. Wings were quite good with the original sauce Beers were fine, not a big selection though. The main problem is the service. As has been noted by others this place may be better suited for the locals. Our first waitress was OK, but our second one (woman with long brown hair) was rude and snippy the entire time we were there. However, we noted she was quite friendly with the folks she apparently knew. We will not return on our next visit. read more

This place has great fried food. The fries are crispy, the crispy fish sandwich is great, and the salmon sandwich was very well cooked with a huge portion. The ESB-battered prawns are also delicious. It's a busy, noisy place, so don't expect to have peace and quiet, and don't expect your food to come out quickly, but it is pretty good. It's a nice casual place to get some comfort food at a more reasonable price than other nearby places. Overall, good food, loud atmosphere. read more

So minus a star for closing SO EARLY on a summer weekend. Otherwise we had a great time. We were on island for a wedding and had fun here the night before with the group, getting beers and singing karaoke and getting great service. It was hopping but the service was on point. And the karaoke was great! They used the TouchTunes box and a microphone to make it the easiest in the world. Honestly, the best and simplest way to do it. We just ordered takeout because we were tired and just wanted to eat and relax back at our room. The bartender who greeted us was super friendly and allowed us to sit at the bar while we waited for our food to be done. We also were able to order a glass of wine and a beer while we waited. Stopped here for a late lunch after a long tiring hike. The service staff was very friendly and genuinely nice. We ordered some burgers and fish n chips. Cod n Chips - They serve two small pieces of cod that absolutely do not justify the price. They were really nice but the portion size was tiny. The coleslaw was terrible. The fries were really good. Southwest Burger - The burger itself tasted nice and was cooked to a perfect medium rare. However the tomato slices were ridiculously thick as were the onions and the bun was a complete disaster. It was too soft and not toasted and completely disintegrated making the burger a big lumpy mess to eat. The same thing happened with my wife and friend for their burger buns too. Salmon Burger - My friend really liked this. He took out the oversized tomatoes and onions though and had to resort to a fork after the bun gave up. Grilled Chicken Burger - My wife got this but didn't like it. The chicken was under seasoned and everything was kind of bland and mushy. Not a very pleasant sandwich. Overall the burgers were ok, wish the buns were better. The fish was a rip off. The service was excellent but wasn't backed up by great food. Probably won't stop here again. read more

Salads and French rosé being available on the menu for a tavern??? FIVE FULL STARS. However, for the rest of it we'll just be honest and take away a half a star. Sadly Yelp won't let us rate 4.5, but that's what we want to say. The food was pretty freakin good overall. It's a pub for God's sake. You're not going to get elevated food nor the most refined experience on the planet. The staff was incredibly friendly and mostly efficient (save for one server's apparent lack of experience with the POS, creating a pregnant wait for our bill once). Yes, we said "once". Fries are delicious! Atmosphere is your typical pub, but I'd say the food is a step above the typical pub fare. How should I put it? Healthier? The stuff is just well cooked vs. sopping in grease grub. Our waitress was great. Attentive, but not over the top always at our side. Liked that. Bf loved the grilled chicken burger and I liked (but didn't love) my salmon burger. If I came back I'd go for the chicken burger. Or a burger. But whatever I decide on the fries must stay! I skipped eating my Kaiser roll, but did eat a bite and it was really good. Just rather have the fries. Good ranch dressing. Yummie tartar sauce. The MRF Salad is great with the arugula and really yummie tomatoes. I didn't mind paying the little extra to get the better veggies than the regular romaine. If you're looking for a quiet place.
