Unfortunately, my experience after that left a very bad impression. This review is specifically regarding their no-show policy. While a business has every right to run operations as they see fit, I find this policy excessive and counterproductive to customer retention. I accidentally forgot my second appointment--yes, it happens. I was then charged the full amount of the service ($45). What added to the frustration was that I called 45 minutes after my scheduled time asking if I could still come in. I was told they were already booked, whether that was true or not, I can't say. When I asked to reschedule for the following week, it was never made clear that the $45 I had just been charged would not apply to the next appointment. I had to directly ask multiple times whether that payment would be credited, and only then was I told it was a loss due to the fine print of their no-show policy. So to be clear: the first time you miss an appointment, you are charged 100% of the service with no flexibility. They only send email reminders--no text messages or phone reminders. Every other beauty service I use (nails, hair, lashes) sends text reminders, so it's hard to believe that isn't an option. This feels intentional, knowing many people don't constantly check email. What left the worst taste was the lack of understanding or willingness to make an exception for a first-time mistake, especially when I was only 45 minutes late and had been a paying customer. Policies like this don't just penalize clients--they push them away. Unfortunately, this experience ensures I won't be returning.

However, each of my last few visits have had small issues that, if they happened only once, I could have ignored. But, I can't really ignore the small issues anymore. I am not a confrontational person, so no, I did not say anything each time something happened because it felt nitpicky, until I realized that something was happening during every recent visit consistently. And overall, my experiences were still pretty good. One of the first times there was an issue with unprofessionalism it was something that made me uncomfortable. I once overheard the blonde lady, that's worked there for a long time, talking badly about someone's body that she had just given a Brazilian wax to. So, I noted to myself, to never get waxed there. The last several massages I've had there have been with the same person. And she's actually great. But some things have happened during my massages that have cut into my ability to relax. Every single massage for at least the last year, she has brought in what sounded like a metal container with iced water? And she repeatedly will refill a water bottle loudly during my massage with iced water and then constantly stop the massage to loudly drink from it with the ice in the metal bottle or cup clinking around. I have never seen what it is, because I am face down during the massage but that's what it sounds like. Multiple times I can hear this masseuse and have also caught other masseuses here texting or doing things on their phones during my massage. Let me preface this next one with, I am actually 420 friendly.... However, I am 99% sure during my most recent massage, she was hitting a vape. I smelled it MULTIPLE times during my massage. Normally doesn't bother me out in the real world... but during my massage??!! Also, when I walked in for my most recent massage, the owner, was who let me in. I said Hello, good morning to her. No response. Another thing worth noting is, their neighbors have LOUD barking dogs. I understand the spa cannot help this. But you can and will hear it during your massage. Something changed here. They are extremely natural looking and last looking beautiful as they were on day one for WEEKS! I always get compliments on how natural they look and what a great job she does when I mention that they're extensions.
