Really go quality Mexican food! As close to what I grew up with, that I have found in NEA.

The mustard potato salad was the best that I've ever tasted. The Parsonage Club Sandwich was fantastic, with its flavorful aioli! They had a nice Nora Jones soundtrack playing. The prices were imminently reasonable. This is now on my to-go list of eateries. I shall return!

When visiting Jonesboro, we decided to grab lunch at this cute cafe in the entertainment district…read moredowntown. The inside decor was very eclectic with art, paper stars hanging from the ceiling, and mix-matched furniture. It felt very fun. We chose to sit in a booth by the window around 1:00. There was only one other table of patrons when we arrived. It was very cold inside, but it looked clean. I ordered a ham sandwich with chips. My mom ordered a pick two with half BLT and a half cup of chicken and wild rice soup. The wait was slow for some cold sandwiches and premade soup. My sandwich was good but it just tasted like regular deli meat on white sandwich bread. The chips came from a basket with two different types of sun chips, which were not my favorite. My mom's soup did not have any chicken or meat in it, just the broth and lots of beans. It was also very spicy, which unfortunately didn't work with her dietary restriction. She wasn't able to eat much of it. We both got drinks, as well, but never refills. Our waitress didn't come back to check on us. Together the bill was in the mid $30s + tax and a tip. It just felt overpriced for mediocre food and service. Cute place, but I probably won't go back.

I ordered a medium rare ribeye, which was slightly overcooked but still a very good cut of meat. I did not care for the coleslaw or the gouda macaroni and cheese. The meal was served with toast. The chocolate pecan pie with ice cream was good. I arrived at 6:30 and was given a glass of water that a drank immediately because i was thirsty. Any establishment that must function understaffed should be like Nashville clubs and set out a jug of water so people can refill their cups on their own. They took my drink order at 7. There were no empty seats at the bar so I sat alone at a table. The experience was OK but they need at least one more server. The only reason they get by with charging over fifty dollars for the steak is because there's literally no other place within 40 miles you can get a good steak. The sides are below average. The servers are friendly but obviously overworked. The bathroom was clean and there was plenty of parking.

The restaurant portion of the building was almost empty, and I was seated almost immediately, but I was placed at a table in a high traffic area next to the kitchen. After a while, I flagged down an employee since it was unclear to me who my server was. I put in an appetizer order of their heavenly eggs. They included a wonderfully tart sauce, and the serving size was three eggs. The mushroom gnocchi that I had was delicious, and enough to feed two people. The potato dumplings were expertly made, and some of the best that I've ever eaten. Other than the service being a bit hit and miss, I would return if only for the excellent food.

Now for the spoiler alert: do not get your heart (or face) set on the famous blueberry scones that everyone seems to have photographed here. Because... they don't have them. Inside is really comfortable. *Disclaimer* I live in Dallas....these prices points were great! $20 for a bottle of mimosas. Husband ordered the smoked salmon scrambler and said it was great! I got the recovery plate. Eggs were perfectly scrambled. Bacon was crispy but not too much so and was a nice thick cut. I was really impressed by the hash brown casserole. Awesome flavors in there. I also got a side of oatmeal, thinking it was going to be a little cup, and it was a nice bowl. Brought over half of it back to eat later. Coffees: we orders the lavender love and cafe Leo. We leave tomorrow but I'll go back for that cafe Leo. 100%. All this was great, but what sealed the deal was Michelle. Barista? Check. Bartender? Check. Server? Check. Food runner? Check. Cashier? Check. Friendly as hell? Double check! You can tell there are lots of regulars that come in, she knows their names and what they usually order. And finally, much to our surprise, they have Diplomático Rum. So, obs they know what's the deal. You need a breakfast/brunch/lunch place in Jonesboro, this is the one!
