Most definitely 5 stars. Jessy is amazing! We had a little trouble getting logistics to line up and we really wanted The Magical Atelier at our daughter's party. Jessy was working hard to find a teacher for potions who had availability. We ended up moving the party to a park with a room (fear of rain), which just so happened to be down the street from her studio. I reached out to Jessy and she was able to schedule our party in for an hour. We took it and weren't disappointed. The kids loved making potions with Jessy and her teacher Gala. They we're so great and engaging for our young guests. All they needed was a table to set up on. They brought the aprons and all the supplies. The kids take home their potions in little bottles, get a party bag, and if they have time, get some fairy dust on the their arms. A few of the kids were so engaged, they almost spent an entire hour at the potion table. Payment was easy and Jessy really stressed enjoying the party and paying the balance after all was said and done. This was a phenomenal experience and such a great opportunity at party. We're so glad we got them booked. Final Word: We will be reaching out to Jessy again. No doubt. read more

A Perfect Birthday at The Magical Atelier! We celebrated my daughter's 10th birthday at The Magical Atelier, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience! She and her friends did the Sparkle Art activity and loved every minute of it. They all said they felt so free to use whatever materials they wanted -- and to make as much creative mess as they liked! Jessie is a phenomenal hostess. She's amazing with kids and has such a natural way of bringing out their creative sides. She went above and beyond to make the party theme extra special for my daughter. We hosted 13 little girls aged 5-6 at The Magical Atelier for my daughter's 6th birthday this past weekend and had an amazing time! Jessy and her two additional teachers were so kind and inviting and engaged all the girls in the two projects we picked: potion making and sparkle art. I also really appreciated that as soon as our little guests started arriving they set up a little drawing station to keep them occupied. The space itself is quite cozy with a small sitting area for the adults to hang out in. We ended up suggesting a drop off party for our guests' adults (which the parents LOVED of course with bars and Sawtelle so nearby for a few kid-free hours) and it was comfortable for the 8 adults that remained. I did the $40 decoration add on, but to be honest, I think the space is so cute and charming it didn't end up being necessary! We ordered pizza and pasta from nearby Classic Pizza that we were able to walk over and pick-up, and Jessy provides a table to set food up on behind the sitting area couch. I also was able to bring adult beverages for the grown-ups to enjoy - always a plus for attending a kid's party in my book! All of our little guests had a BLAST and went home with beautiful potions in adorable bottles and an inordinate amount of glitter on canvases. Definitely recommend this as a birthday venue/activity and having hosted a few birthday parties at this point, I found The Magical Atelier to be very reasonably priced especially with all the materials and instruction included. read more

We had a fantastic birthday party at the Magical Atelier! Jessy was super attentive and paid attention to every detail. She was very communicative in helping to plan a great "Witchcrafting" party for my 6 year old. All the kids had such a blast, many saying it was the best party they'd ever been to! They had so much fun potion making. She also decorated the space perfectly that I really had so little to do. There even was a nice little courtyard out back that the kids could do the piñata. An amazing place to have a party! Jessy, the owner is a sweet, kind and wonderful person who makes planning the event a breeze. Communication was easy for party planning. During the party she was extremely attentive to the kids, making sure they never got bored, even after the art activity had ended. She decorated the space for us and it looked magical. She even provided coffee for our guests. She is extremely generous with her time and with the space. Love this place. Decided to try it as a treat for my boys. We enjoyed a sparkle art one hour class with Jessy and I couldn't imagine my boys wanting to do sparkle art for an entire hour. They were prompt, professional, and truly wanted to make it a nice experience. They led a canvas painting and also made slime. My daughter loved a picture of a llama and they made paintings similar to the pic she loved! They brought all the supplies and made the experience seamless. The girls were engaged and the teachers walked around to make sure everybody was involved. Jessy was very communicative and responsive in advance of the party. She arrived 30 minutes early to set up, and the Potion Making class started right on time. It was a huge hit with the party guests! The kids and parents loved it. Jessy brought high-quality materials, including glass bottles, glitter, fresh flowers, paint, rhinestones, ribbons and name labels. The kids absolutely loved making their potion bottles and got to take them home as party favors. I took my 4.5 year old and 2 year old here for a slime making class and they had a blast! Jessy the owner is so sweet and very communicative. We just moved to the area from Arizona so I was a bit nervous to be trying so many things, so I emailed ahead a ton of questions and Jessy emailed me back right away. As a mama who is on Zoom calls allllll day, it's really hard to step away at times and when I finally can, most places are closed, so this means so much to me when business owners are responsive via email! The studio itself is soo cute, and you can tell it is filled with a ton of love. The kids were greeted so sweetly upon arrival, and were offered snacks and juice right away. We felt so welcome to be there. There is a sitting area for adults, and coffee and tea, so you can hang out and observe or just take a well deserved breather with some mindless scrolling while your kids are doing their art class. Jessy was so sweet with the kids and made sure to engage each one of them individually throughout the class. She explained every step of the process and was not rushed, she encouraged the kids the play and simply just be present in the experience. She was talking with them in English and Spanish. One of them did easel painting on a large canvas and the other did sparkle art.
