She has drug addicts (that WERE RESIDENTS) overdosing in her parking lots and begging for money for months on end .... Felisha the bus driver is absolutely nasty and fake so stay clear from her!!!!! Diane does not do activities that are for everyone, they are for her select group that she has help her everyday (meaning elders with memory problems won't be allowed to be involved) I had one targeted by her because her memory was slowly trickling away it got to the point where she felt uncomfortable to even go back in there with her........ There is mold in the walls all through out the building, maintenance just paints over it instead of fixing the issue.... I truly pray that this place can hire a better director and make a turn around! With the dementia she is not always the friendliest person to be around but the staff at Edgewood was extremely patient and caring with her. Even with her yelling and violent behavior at all times of day and night. She was always clean and changed in a timely manner. She has since been discharged and is back home with us and the staff is still willing to help and answer any questions that we have and help get us the resources that we need to get her the best help she needs. We are extremely grateful for them and we will recommend them to anyone.

The overall quality of care appears poor, from the management team down to the nursing staff. It's heartbreaking that families with limited financial options may feel pressured to settle for an unsafe or neglectful environment simply because other options seem unattainable. When issues are reported, the problems tend ta persist for about a week before the level of service returns to a consistently low standard, Additionally, when my loved one reports an issue, the facility attempts to dismiss or deny it, making it seem as though he doesn't know what he's talking about or that the allegations aren't true. He had been in two other nursing facilities and Golden Acres was by far the best. He was always clean, there was no odor anywhere and there was always someone looking after him. I felt very comfortable knowing that he was so well taken care of. Even though the building might be older, it is clean and it is the care that the residents get that matter.
