I am itching to come back here and try all the different food options! I came back in June 2017. It is a huge market with a variety of food stalls and options. It is like a small Disneyland for food lovers. When I was here, I came with a group of 10 people and we found a table inside to relax and enjoy our meals. The best part is that we all ordered something different from different shops, so this is a great place to chill with a large group of people and not have to worry if there is food for everyone; there is! There is ample parking and we had no problem finding space. A very family oriented place with ample indoor and outdoor seating. I saw many families with their babies and strollers enjoying a lovely day here. I ordered a salmon BLT sandwich from one of the food stalls called Neopol Savory Smokery and it was the BEST salmon sandwich I have ever had. There was magic inside that sandwich. They had a display of fresh ingredients for you to choose from. My friends also raved about the cheesesteak sandwich with a side order of fries. (Also known as Philly cheesesteaks for those not from the east coast!) I also ordered a scoop of ice cream; a great finish to a great lunch. The staff was extremely nice and answered all the questions I had about the ice cream. I also got to sample the flavors before making a decision. All were delicious. I will update this review with more details when I visit it again. In the meantime, this is a must go to when in Baltimore! I love this market. It has such a great atmosphere. There is such a variety of shops and eateries. It's a great place to visit especially when it's warmer outside and you can sit outside and people watch. I personally love to hang out at Atwater's. Not a bad way to spend part of your afternoon. The Market at Belvedere Square is a small market/food hall with some really fun options to try! We stopped by for bagels at Greg's Bagels, but we also walked inside to see what other businesses are there (for when we return)! Inside the market is a location of Atwater's, Ejji Ramen, Grand Cru (wine shop), Neopol Savory Smokery (I've had some of their smoked fish in DC), Plantbar, Prigel Family Creamery, Pure Chocolate by Jinji, and more! It has some seating outside and inside. I'm not sure if all of the business located in the market are open during COVID or what their hours are right now; when we were there on a Saturday morning in March 2021, only a few were open but it was probably too early for many of them if they don't offer breakfast/brunch. A charming market with enough options - something for everyone! Especially now that winter is coming to an end, it could be a wonderful place to enjoy a lunch outside! read more

Excellent venue and to date, the best market place this year. Parking during lunchtime came be a little challenging but not impossible. They have a parking lot on the same side of the street as well as across the street. There are oodles and oodles of places to eat and 1 small market 4 raw meat purchase. They have quality businesses there, my favorite being Atwaters. Great variety from coffee shops, Deli's, desserts, smoothies/juice bar, etc. Clean premises, plenty of table/ high tops seating, etc. My goal is to eventually support each business. 0 Oh, also they host a Friday evening music series through the summer! This is a lovely little get away off of Northern parkway. I've rode past this place for years never truly knowing what it was. Until yesterday i was invited over here for lunch. The parking is a little hectic but that's because the market is so crowded. It was a little chilly so i didn't get to take advantage of the sit outside scenery. Inside was nice & spacious. Upon finding seating a waitress from Atwater's was there taking our orders in no time. Best part was the waitress was quick & constantly checking back to make sure we were good. I had the chicken salad sandwich. The wait wasn't long at all & the sandwich was great one of the best chicken sandwich I've ever had. While there are larger food markets around, this one has a solid enough variety of offerings AND all of those offerings are so top notch that this place is a truly 5-star experience. I always feel like a kid in a candy shop walking in here. There is so much good food, whether it's ice cream or chocolates to health-conscious hippie foods of juices, smoothies, or even the fermented foods stall (Hex!), to hearty staples of sanwiches, ramen, smoked foods, or Italian foods; there's something for everyone. There are lots of tables, both high top and standard, for a large group or a small gathering. Most of the places are small local chains and often support products from other small local businesses. It's possible to eat cheaply, but you can also find yourself dropping a pretty penny in a splurging bender. It can get crowded, but I've never seen them run out of table spaces. The bathrooms are clean and accessible. Definitely recommended. read more

One of my favorite places to go eat, they have a ton of great options. Atwater's, Mason's Lobster Rolls, Neopol Smokery, and Greg's Bagels are all great choices, both for eating in and taking out, plus most of the places also sell bulk or deli-style items you can purchase to take home. Atwater's has numerous types of homemade bread, and both Neopol and Greg's sell myriad types of smoked items, in particular salmon. There are also a pizza place, a ramen place, and a juice bar. No matter what you're looking for, you can find something you like. I notice Prigel Family Creamery doesn't have its own Yelp listing for the Belvedere location, which is a crime because they are seriously some of the best ice cream I've ever had. For real, this stuff is great. I don't eat ice cream often but if I do I want it from here because it's a million times better than most ice cream. So rich and creamy, it doesn't even need toppings. The chocolate in particular is a fave, it's a light chocolate flavor that doesn't overwhelm the creaminess- so good! Jinji chocolate is also here, which is dairy-free, gluten-free and I believe vegan? I was like, that will be weird, but it was actually really good. The Italian market is also good if you're on the hunt for rainbow cookies, meats, or other specialty items. There are also several gift-type stores and a florist in the individual shops in the same building, and a crepe place upstairs. Burger place is across York road, not sure if it's considered part of Belvedere Square but very close. Plenty of parking- I think some people don't realize there is an upper lot on top of the market, as well as the adjoining lot, the street parking, and the lot across the street. Sometimes the lower lot is full but I've never had an issue finding a space somewhere. read more

A combination of retail shops and restaurants, there are several different entry points, but only more popular specific eateries and gift stores are labelled (more stalls are located within). Places such as Grand Cru, Market Bakery, Farmstead Cheese, Neopol Savory Smokery, Greg's Bagels, and Ejji Ramen are some that exist. There are other services as well, such as photo developing, banking, option to purchase housewares, and getting your nails down at the salon/spa. It gets super packed and busy on the weekends, and there are some communal tables with chairs (beware, as some are not bolted in correctly and can be quite uncomfortable, and the tables are not wiped down) that you can utilize to enjoy a meal. This is one of the first markets of it's kind that I've been to (other than Lexington of course) and it obviously it something that people love. Now two others like this have popped up in the area. In my opinion, Belvedere Square is the best market and have always had great vendors. They do a really nice job of keeping it clean, updated and the vendors always serve great food. This place can get busy during lunch especially and on weekends so I like to come at off times. Now that this place has gotten busier, there have been times where I've had to drive around a bit to find parking, or I've had to pay for street parking. I will do almost anything to get inside though. They have sometime for everyone here. read more

I fully enjoy everything about Belvedere Square.. I feel like Atwaters takes a good amount of space in the market but im ok with that since I love everything about Atwaters. They have the best food, coffee and desserts. There are some other good stands as well, the Italian corner, the entire wine market and the dessert stand in the back just to name a few. I've been to multiple food market around the area, somehow Belvedere Square becomes my favorite. It's a foodie paradise - lots of food choices from ramen noodles to smoked oysters, signature sandwiches to bakery. The burger I grabbed from Belvedere Square has become my favorite around the area. The paddy was cooked perfectly with a rich brown on the outside, a soft pink on the inside. It was topped with crisp streaky bacon, with cheese oozing out from the edge. Sandwiched between a lightly toasted bun, with a generous slap of condiments and some fresh veggie, the burger itself was so delicious! Fries on side was great too! I came here for ramen and wasn't impressed, but I'm so glad to have found this little gem! The Market is similar to your hipster warehouse food courts, but didn't feel pretentious. The staff are friendly, there's a lot of families, and I wish I was able to check out more than one restaurant! I didn't have any problems with parking or being seated, even for lunch on a weekend. I have seen Belvedere Square Market several times. I have heard great things about the food, service and events but today I experienced the wonderfulness it has to offer in person. My friend and I loved our shrimp pesto pizza from Tooloulou. The service was great and the pizza was flavorful. The effort that made me want to write the review was from the security guard we met. My boyfriend managed to cut his hand and Officer Cherry did not hesitate to get a cleansing wipe, ointment and band-aids for him. Can not believe this place doesn't have more reviews... Because it is the bomb.com! A culinary heaven. A true gem in the Towson/Baltimore area. The market offers several fresh, locally sourced (in most cases) and season food selections. It's a little overwhelming the first time you visit, because there are sooooooo many options, and all of them look sooooooo good! When you first see the market, there is lots of seating outside. When you walk in, there are tons of food venders. Some offer coffee, pastries, sandwiches, seafood, deli meats, fresh bread, ice cream, salads, smoothies, and more! Been coming here since the 80's. Never had an experience like tonight. I bought my food at 7:40. At 7:53, security stood at the door and yelled that everyone needed to be out within 6 min because floor work needed to be done. Within 30 seconds of that announcement, a crew member put the chairs on top of the tables next to us. I got a to-go container and was standing and about to leave when security again yelled to give us a 3 min warning. I said something at that point and commented on how this was unusual and rude given that under 10 guests were left and they could have just spoken to us directly, in a more polite tone. My mistake, this guy was a "this conversation is over, but I'll wait til you walk away to say something under my breath" kind of guy. He was an utter douche and seemed to utterly enjoy being one. Reminds me of the open air markets in California. Different booths with fresh foods and quick bites. After visiting a few -less than spectacular- healthy food options in the area, I came in expecting a regular grocery store with overpriced vegan products. I was more than pleasantly surprised! I went to the "Plant Bar" and created my own juice and opted for a Salmon salad at the booth directly across from them. The salad was flavorful and fresh but at the same time very filling. As for the juice... Delicious. After juice #2 I thought it would be best for me to head on home. Will definitely be back. Belvedere Square is a Baltimore gem. Period. Though it doesn't have the historical stalls of a Lexington Market, Belvedere is like an unexpected slice of NYC right in North east Baltimore. The offerings run the gamut from Neopol smokery which offers a range of smoked goods from fish to egg salad. The market is also home to my favorite ramen noodle bar Ejjii. It's a great place to meet friends or make a pit stop on your way home to prepare your own dinner. The wine bar in the market has wine tastings on Wednesdays and they offer a selection of difficult to find wines. The communal tables offer diners the choice to pick a meal from their favorite stall and then dine together. This market is probably one of the best in the city so go hungry and prepare to be wowed. read more

My wife and I love to bring our 18-month old to Belvedere Square for lunch on the weekends. He's a very active and vocal little boy and enjoys the lively atmosphere. In general, the patrons and employees are very child-friendly (you'll find lots of families of all ages here). My one complaint is that the high chairs are all broken or very loosely screwed in. The past three times we've come, I've had to tighten the screws holding the high chair together by hand. Many of them are missing clips on the belt and missing screws. The backrests on a few of them were broken; a child could lean back and fall out. To the management at Belvedere Square, do you really want to be responsible for an injured infant due to negligence? Have your employees check the high chairs regularly! In the meantime, I'm going to start carrying a hex key with me. read more

Here's my take on this. The food and food vendors are excellent and couldn't be nicer. Places like Atwater's are a gem in Baltimore with consistently great food. Ejji Ramen House couldn't be cooler. The fundamental problem at The Market is the location. I only wish these great spaces were in a better setting - or the market was managed better. While the space looks great, it's management is befuddling. The room is constantly cold, and on a winter day who wants to have cold air blowing out of the vents?? The chairs are uncomfortable, the space is loud, and the volume of the overhead music is thunderous. Seriously. Who wants bar level sound at 8am when trying to get breakfast? I love eating at Atwater's but cannot continue to come here when there are better spaces, more comfortable spaces, more accommodating spaces in Baltimore to get breakfast and coffee. I cannot understand what management wants to do here to patrons and stall owners, but given my druthers I'm going elsewhere. 5 stars for Atwaters. 5 stars for Ejji. 1 star for the Market. read more
