I often enjoy visiting this cafe over the years. They recently changed their flow in the evening and I think it has strong potential. I like the changeover in service to the evening menu post-5PM. The staff are friendly and welcoming of patrons being in the cafe before the evening changeover. The evening menu looked delicious and expands on the culinary creative Pitango. The one place of improvement would be noise reduction, the ambience was thrown off when orders were being yelled from the counter rather than matching the calm ambience of evening menu. Love this cute little spot! Lovely dinner ambience, great date night spot. The staff are wonderful. Came here for the first time for Michael Furr's monthly free Friday evening comedy show that featured 4 headliners. (Tables were pretty packed so get there early if you want a good seat) Had a great time! For drinks, tried the Hugo spritz (they have a Friday night deal where spritzes are $1 off though I think they forgot to bring me the free potato chips ha) which was good if you're into spritzes. Tried the paper plane cocktail (bourbon, elderflower liqueur, sth else) which was delicious- not overly sweet sour bitter- felt well balanced. Good if you like whisky drinks. Tried their Dudja pizza, pickled veggie side (a little spicy) and featured meatball appetizer (could've been a little more juicy) which were all good. Maybe we picked the wrong weekend to try a new place... the weekend before the 4th of July when all the planes and boats were about but we wanted to make the weekly farmers market and try a new place for coffee and breakfast. We were greeted immediately with a line, which is a good thing. What was an issue for me is the dysfunction of the line to order, the area to pick up to go orders and the area for the server to bring seated patrons orders were all in the same place. Causing a lot of confusion and honestly, makes me question food safety. Anywho, we ordered the almond croissant, GF lemon blueberry muffin, and the vanilla bean cruffin along with two lattes. We were unimpressed with the beverages, it has a burnt undertone to it. The almond croissant was delicious large and flaky, no shortage of almonds. Highly suggest! The vanilla bean cruffin... okay... first time consumer, lifetime LOVER!!! Flaky and moist with the perfect amount of vanilla bean cream. I think about it often. The muffin was mid (as the kids say). Loaded with tart blueberries but the essence of the lemon was lacking. Great size and moist but wasn't giving the flavor mashup promised. I'd love to come back at night. The location sits right on the water and in the evening they have wine. Probably a great place to chat or create. The sandwich was 10/10. The seas salt focaccia was phenomenal - makes you want to take some home! The prosciutto, basil and mozzarella was an incredibly combo and look at the size of it! I wasn't the biggest fan of the polenta fries - I'm more partial to regular fries and wish there were just more in general rather than just 5-6. The meatballs though - the pesto and meatballs went really well and would love to have it as a sandwich. I've been wanting to try Pitango Bakery Cafe for awhile and I'm so glad I finally did. The highlight of my order was definitely the banana bread. Filled with so many banana chunks and perfectly baked topped, it was the best accompaniment to my latte. It was busy but service was great and the workers were confidently able to tell me that the banana bread did not contain nuts. The coffee came out quick. Sitting inside was definitely the move on this cold day, but with many tables and seats, it was easy to find a table. I would love to go back and try the sandwiches. In the evening they switch over to restaurant style service and I think they are still adjusting to this transition, so service is a bit slow. i came here around 4:30 on a sunday to get some work done as other coffee shop/work spots were closing around that time. i got a black tea which was brewed well and the bruschetta app. the tomato bruschetta was really good and i'm sure the olive tapenade would have been for someone who likes olives! i just really wanted the tomato bruschetta; i knew what i was getting into when i ordered it. the bread is definitely house made and is really tasty. the service was great and i liked that they brough a whole water jug to the table as i tend to drink a lot of water when i eat. the pizza looked interesting and i would like to come back to try it at some point. they say when they switch over to dinner that laptop use is not allowed at the tables (although we were seated at a table and not a counter despite having our laptops). the wifi also didn't work. it was good, but didn't totally wow me. i would be absolutely willing to give them another shot. read more

This place is very promising. The ambiance is on point. I could hang out here all day. I sat outside with an excellent harbor view and beautiful weather on a quite street even though it's a busy area. The food was excellent! The everything danish was mind blowingly good. Perfect flakiness, flavor, and not overpowering cream cheese. My avocado toast was not what I had ordered. I wanted the salmon toast, but they were out of salmon. I pivoted to the avocado toast and added an egg. My biggest qualm with it was that it was just above a standard toast and the price seemed outrageous for what I got. Even had to pay extra for the egg. To add to that, I have had vigilante coffee from the actual vigilante shop and it was unbelievable. I don't know what they did to it, but if I had only gotten coffee, I probably would have rated this place 1 star. It was awful. Overall, I would go back and sit outside gorging myself on the pastries, but save my money on the actual food and go elsewhere nearby for coffee. read more

Busy, popular bakery at Fell's Point [Baltimore MD] On the waterfront at Fell's Point is this bakery with options for a hearty breakfast or an afternoon snack. Since we just came from breakfast in the same area we just wanted something sweet from the bakery. When we walked inside... this was around noon, the cafe was full, busy at peak lunch time. The coffee here is excellent and I love stopping by and grabbing a dark chocolate mocha or a latte with a fancy flavored syrup to sip on as I walk around Fells. The space is really charming, with a fireplace, high ceilings, and a sort of industrial, shabby chic vibe. The view is also great, right on the water and sort of overlooking the Pendry. The views are great - it's right on the water and they now stay open late which is nice as a lot of coffee shops close early afternoon. The avocado toast here is the best thing on the menu and I think in the entire state. There's pistachios mint sumac lemon chili peppers. It's so delicious and worth the $14. The staff has gone through changes since COVID - and now they offer alcohol and wine at night and cheese boards. It's always packed bc of location - they have these 70 beads on the doors for birds. Decent WiFi and a popular working spot. I've tried most things on their menu and think you should only get their coffees - the espresso is nice and the avocado toast. Very cute cafe next to the Baltimore waterfront. I went with a few friends to study and grab lunch, and enjoyed my time. The interior is modern and clean and the employees were nice. The food was served quickly, however one employee did seem annoyed when my friend asked for extra silverware (not sure if they have a policy against giving them out?). The food was amazing! I had the "red" sandwich which was pretty good although a little dry. My friends had the rustico which they loved. We all tried the monkey bread, cruffin, and fruit tart which were all pretty good. My favorite was the cruffin which I had never seen elsewhere before and I love croissants and custard. Would prefer a cinnamon roll over the monkey bread though. Prices were also on the steeper side. I came here on a Tuesday evening just to sit outside and enjoy the breeze. They have decaf espresso, so it was a perfect spot for later in the night to have a coffee drink. Pitango... you've charmed me Ever since my first visit back in March, I've come by about 5 other times. This cafe is super busy during weekends, and parking can feel impossible with the exception of if you come really early. Street parking is challenging but can absolutely be found within 1-2 blocks away on a weekday. There is a lot of mainly indoor but also some outdoor seating. It is nice to sit and study in on a weekday, but not on a weekend when it is far too loud for this. I stand by my review that their matcha lattes are subpar. I think the ratio of matcha powder to milk is completely off, and you end up with an almost entirely milky drink. This does change based on the barista but the inconsistency still leaves me with that at a 1.5/5. The $1.25 charge for alternative milk still remains so pricy to me I cannot understand it. I think Pitango shines with their baked goods and sandwiches. Every baked good I've had here has been 5/5, they are freshly baked and just melt in your mouth. I am very impressed by these from their spinach feta danish to their everything danish, all their pastries that I've tried are delicious. They do change out their baked good items every so often but I don't mind trying things out. read more

This place is amazing! I seriously do not know of any other place like this bakery cafe that bakes amazing baked goods and different focaccia for their sandwiches anywhere else in the DMV. What I'm amazed about is that their prosciutto de Parma is sliced fresh off the ham leg right before the sandwiches are put together. I got the red sandwich, which has prosciutto, avocado, and fresh mozzarella on tomato focaccia. They also have many other sandwich toppings to choose from: roast beef, roasted vegetables, all different kinds of charcuterie meats. Even though they are very busy, the lines move quickly. There is plenty of space you can sit outside or inside. They also have tea, and espresso beverages, wine, and spirits. I loved eating my sandwich while enjoying the Baltimore water front. read more

I want to give this place 5 stars but my last visit here left a lot to be desired. When I came in there were no menu items displayed on their wall which they used to do, I had to wait in line until I got close to the counter to look at the menu. When ordering the cashier didn't seem super friendly. I asked for a matcha latte to go, and it came out in a glass cup. I politely asked the barista if I could get in a to go cup and she didn't say a word, gave me the nastiest look, and slammed the plastic cup on the counter. Not a great feeling.... I hope they do better with their services moving forward because at this point I wouldn't come back if this is how I will be treated. Didn't help that the matcha latte was fairly mediocre compared to others in the area. read more
