(Hubby has a hard time when it comes to parallel parking. Being from the Bay Area, that's a way of life for us!) Checked out the following stores: Lush, the Lego store, Macy's, Dillard's, Nordstrom Rack, & Rack Room Shoes. It is a walking-centered shopping center, but some drivers are not letting peds walk in the designated crosswalks. Shame. (In Cali, if you don't give right of way to the peds, you get a ticket!) The shade is nice. So it wasn't so bad. We definitely got a lot of steps in. We also walked to the water feature, that we remember our son being obssessed with, when he was a wee one.

Downtown Summerlin is one of those shopping destinations with a lot of potential. I did come across a few clothing stores I genuinely enjoyed, which isn't always easy to find. The landscaping is beautifully done. The greenery, open spaces, and overall layout give it a polished, inviting feel. It's clearly been designed to create an experience, not just a place to shop. The information booth is well positioned and generally helpful, although I was surprised they couldn't direct me to something as simple as a fresh green drink. I later found what I was looking for at True Food Kitchen, which seems like a fairly obvious recommendation in a center like this. My one real issue is the sheer size of the property. It's expansive... more of a campus than a traditional shopping center. What starts off as a pleasant stroll can quickly turn into a long trek, especially if you're not prepared. Comfortable shoes are not optional here. By the end of it, I found myself more tired than I expected. It's a beautiful place, but the scale can work against you if you're trying to cover a lot of ground in one visit.

Starbucks has a very inviting patio. I have even taken my dogs there to sit on the patio with me while I have a coffee and read. McDonald's has a very awkward drive-thru and the food isn't always up to par but it sure feeds my hot fudge sundae craving just fine! They have different events during the year like an art walk and other festivities that are fun and really get the community together. With stores like Vons, Bath & Body Works, Tracy's Watermark, Chase, Upper Crust Pizza, and many many more if you are in the neighborhood to live, visit a friend or just passing through this center has all you could need!

The grocery and pharmacy stores here are a basic staple. I also enjoy shopping at the Hallmark store and recently a new coffee shop opened up. It's good for parking and walking around. A walk can easily extend to the nearby park and walking trail as well as the Summerlin Library circle.

The access in and out of the plaza is very good, but not great. Kind of tight on the curves maneuvering up and down the parking aisles. From the street entrance with traffic signals, a left or right turn forces you into an almost immediate left or right turn again or else you drive over parking spaces. You have to be careful turning left and then left again as you are also dealing with vehicles exiting out of the JackintheBox drive thru at that point. Still, it's located directly off of a major street and offers some businesses I like, and it's not too far away for me so there is a convenience factor.

We've been here several times over the past month. In fact, we were here yesterday afternoon at Sprouts (there was an older lady on a rascal asking for money in the parking lot, FYI- the overall crowd here is mixed, families, couples, singles, older, younger, etc.). We usually plan out our weekend jaunts, so when we are in the area, we plan accordingly. Also located here: 99 Cents Only store (it's hit or miss with this store), eight other fast food options/ restaurants like Panda Express, Samurai Sam's, Subway, Del Taco and Windy City Beef (hotdogs). Banks, a paint shop, and a variety of services are also located here. The parking lot is huge, and there are several points of entry from at least three directions of the shopping center. Next business on Lake Mead is a soccer field. And two other shopping centers are across from Summerlin Gateway Plaza. It's also across from a housing community. I used to work nearby at a real estate office, so I'm familiar with the area. Now that we live in Summerlin, we often shop in local shopping centers.

Let's not stop at envisaging the restaurants. The shopping plaza increasingly has stores selling furniture, outdoor lifestyle gear, formal attire, pets and supplies, health and beauty merch, liquor and liqueur, plus your regulars such as Target, Ross, and Office Depot. It's busy as ever especially with the holiday season. Parts of the parking lot have a queue and bustle of pedestrians and shoppers. That all attributes to the spark and attractiveness of Boca Park. The other awesome thing is this Plaza is directly across from another lovely shopping and dining locality (Tivoli Village) off of Alta Drive. I love this area!

You'll locate the seating right next to Wahoo's! It's easy to get to as well! You can take the 95/N exit or the 215/Durango exit to get to the Centennial Plaza. There is also a ramp to get back onto the 95/S from the Starbucks location!

One of my favorite spot as it had Sweet Tomatoes a buffet of soups and salads was one of my favorites has closed though I still do come here whenever I'm in Las Vegas as it has so many shops that I love and is so easy to get to. With shops like Stein Mart, Ross Dress for Less, Marshalls, Five Below, TJ Maxx and even Bath and Body Works (before we now have here in Hawai'i) Burlington and Nordstrom Rack they have so many priced friendly shops found here all in one place is the reason I that I do love to take my retail therapy sessions here. There are lots of other shops and services as well and with a quite a large parking lot it's so easy to get here though I'd say all they need is a Trader Joe's and I don't need to go elsewhere to shop lol! This is a great big Nordstrom rack room with lots of free parking. Not much of the parking is out…read moreof the sun, so be prepared to walk across the steaming asphalt parking lot Once inside, it's a nice cool environment with lots of mens wear women's wear and children's wear. They had a particularly nice selection of princess dresses to adorn girls for Easter.. There were also a lot of colorful and cute purses for Easter wear. Probably their best stocked item are shoes and there were lots and lots of shoes to choose from in all sizes, from casual to dressing.. I scored a beautiful faux leather skirt and a bold printed pair of Palazzo pants to replace some of my favorite black-and-white striped pants, so it was a win-win situation for me! I wore those pants to the Eiffel Tower restaurant the next day and they were a smash hit!!
