Cheryl Marquis is the only realtor that I do business with. I have used her services to sell property, obtain property and even manage and find tenants for me. I am just coming off of a full year and a total of 5 real estate transactions where Cheryl was my agent. She has represented me and my family members now for the past 17 years. It has been a very busy year and involved a lot of work. I need to feel confident about working with someone who I can fully trust and goes above and beyond what any agent typically does. I am a busy single mom and Cheryl has handled getting estimates and lining up contractors, gardeners, painters, etc... for almost each of these 5 properties this past year. I trust her so much that I even had her represent me with one of the properties that was all the way up in Glendale. Cheryl has an amazing group of people working around her ....all the way from her escrow and title crew, her loan officer and even down to a list of referrals for every kind of skilled labor. One of the properties needed a full remodel before selling it. Cheryl had an entire list ready to go and put into place for all the needs involving a home remodel which was completed in under 8 weeks. She met with each of these individuals and got the bids for me. After the project was almost completed we had a episode of very hot weather one weekend, I happened to be busy but Cheryl and her husband Gary went to my property to water my new roses. This is just a small example of the kind of things that Cheryl does for her clients. Its always just amazing to me to experience how Cheryl is willing to help so much. Cheryl also has a very high moral ethic and yet a unique way of still taking charging and strongly representing her clients...not to mention a energy level that is like nothing you have seen. I was am not surprised to see so many 5 star reviews..this is what I would fully expect of anyone that Cheryl has ever represented. I did see one very poor rating and all I can say to that is.."I am confused and quite skeptical of anyone that would speak contrary to anything other then what I have experienced and others that I know.?" Cheryl Marquis is not someone I would recommend. There was a clear inability to"communicate" with her amongst other issues. We asked to rescind the listing agreement. She demanded to be paid for her expense and "then some" to cancel. I did not agree simply based on principle. Ultimately, I was forced to sign an agreement in order to remove her from the remainder of the initial listing agreement. That agreement required that I do not say anything disparaging about her or the broker during the listing. According to two neighbors, she was "rude & borderline disrespectful". I have spoken now to many other realtors and not one could believe that an agent would allow such a poor business relationship to force a client to remain when obviously there was no good that could evolve.
