I booked the Bank Robbery escape for my staff and I for a team building event, and we had a blast! Reserving was very easy online, and compared to other escape rooms it was priced similarly. I appreciated that on the reservation you could specify that it is for a private event and book the entire room. The staff were sweet and informative. Once we were in the room the games began! I really thought the Bank Robbery room was done well- the clues were not too obvious, but it was also attainable. I've been to other escape rooms where we would have never figured it out, but this difficulty level was just right. The clues were fun and perfect for a group of 4--we were all able to contribute and didn't feel like we were crowded on top of one another. When you enter the room, it provides a short video with a description and background story, so it really felt professional. We were able to make it out in 47 minutes and didn't ask for any clues, so we were pretty proud of ourselves. Great for team building and an affordable fun activity. Clean, engaging, and worth the time and money! I'd definitely go back to try another room.

My family and I visited around two weeks ago on a Friday night. We booked the Crime Scene room online and then called to ask about their procedures for COVID19. They are now limiting rooms to one group, which was awesome and lessened our worries. Masks are required to enter, but once we were in our room we were allowed to remove them if needed. The ladies at the front were great and we had two newbies who'd never done an escape room before. They allowed us to use the restroom and then explained all the rules and details about the room! Everything was clean, we had a great time and were able to finish on time! I recommend Master Escape room for a fun and unique night out. We will definitely be back to try another room soon!

We didn't get any fun signs to hold for some reason, but we escaped in time! :)

A bit of anxiety, a lot of lock combinations, and a good amount of Yelper brainpower... add them all together, and you have a really fun, entertaining evening! First, getting here: do not listen to Google Maps on your phone! Thankfully I was really early, so I had plenty of time for my navigation to mess with me and send me into a student housing complex behind the actual building. The Master Escape Room is located south of NE 20th Street on the east side of Dixie, in the Mizner City Centre (an ivory-colored building with a terracotta tile roof). Go toward the south side of the building, and look for the room's sign in the window. Once inside, we were able to put our belongings (including cell phones) into a locker. We were brought into a tiny room, where we watched a short introduction video before we got to work solving the first of MANY puzzles. I won't spoil it, but it was a blast! I'd recommend having a lot of people so you can all search for different clues at the same time. There are three rooms you end up exploring (plus a hallway). If you get stuck at any time, you can use the little walkie-talkie they give you to get a hint (a nudge in the right direction, which subtracts 3 minutes from your time) or a clue (a much more straightforward answer to help you figure out a puzzle, which subtracts 5 minutes). We ended up only using a clue once toward the end, but even with those 5 minutes deducted, we finished with 9 minutes to spare! The lady at the front desk had told us in the beginning that not many people end up finishing, so we were quite happy to have made it out to celebrate! Overall this was a challenging adventure, but we all walked out raving about the experience. I'm already itching to do another! There's no point in doing this one again (since I already know how to escape), but in a few weeks they'll be opening a "bank vault" room where you get to be the bad guys, and we've all decided we have to come back! If you're thinking about doing the Master Escape Room, go for it! It's such a unique way to spend an evening! And right now, they even have a Groupon deal. Enjoy!

    Another year another room

This was our 2nd time here. What a blast! The folks that run this place give you top notch fun. We got out don't let the signs fool you. Can't wait for our next trip for a different room

My husband and I visited last night with a reservation for the Crime Scene room. We had already completed the Dino Island room (with another couple) and had a blast, so we were really excited to go again. We were even MORE pleased with this room! Great concept, clever clues and puzzles, and very kind game masters who helped only when they saw we were truly stuck. Cannot wait to return for another room!

The Master Escape Room is AWESOME!! I didn't really know what to expect but heard from several friends that it was a lot of fun and decided to go try it out. OMG!!!! Wow! We had such a good time. So many laughs and happiness filled the air during the quest to get out. I was shocked at how much thought and unique ideas they put into designing the Ancient Egyptian room. I didn't expect such creativity. I don't want to give too much away for those who haven't gone but I will say that the puzzles and clues you have to solve to escape were well thought out and so fun to try and discover. The desk clerk was a lot of fun too. He made the experience one to treasure... he was funny and helpful and had a very fun way of giving us hints when we were stuck. We got out with 2m30 seconds left. We also took several pictures with the props they provided. I liked that they had lockers to store your things so you don't have to leave them in the car... that was comforting. I recommend going in a group of 4 because it made the experience much more fun and each person contributed in their own way. I promise... you will laugh so hard and really enjoy the experience. Now we can't wait to try another room... The Crime Scene!

Excellent. It was so good, we stayed to solve a second room. Very nice staff and wonderfully hidden clues.

The room looked like Sherlock Homes filed for bankruptcy and had to furnish his office from a flea market clearance bin. The puzzles just didnt make sense, it wasnt "challenging", it was just a bunch of random shit thrown together, and we were just stuck there playing "guess what the owner was thinking". And the best part? They locked the door and then completely ghosted us on the walkie talkie. No hints, no responses, nothing. The walkie talkie turned out to be just as useless as the rest of the props. At that point it stopped being an escape room and started feeling like a low-budget hostage situation. I've had better communication from people that owe me money. Basically paid $100 to get locked in a bootleg Sherlock Holmes office with zero support. At one point I wasn't even trying to solve clues anymore, I was just wondering if I should start rationing oxygen and writing my will on the back of a fake clue envelope. ------------------- Response to owner: Yes, the walkie talkie was eventually replaced, but there was a solid stretch where we were locked in asking for help over and over with zero response. Not once, not twice, multiple times. At one point we literally gave up, sat down on the chairs, and just started having a full conversation. On the clues... we didn't ask to be completely abandoned, we just didn't want to be spoon-fed. There's a big difference between "let them figure it out" and "let's pretend they don't exist". And regarding the "wrong locks", that kind of proves my point. If everything feels like it could go anywhere, it stops feeling like solving puzzles and starts feeling like you're just trying random combinations and hoping something clicks. For the price this isnt worth it at all if im being honest. The experience just didn't match the price point, especially when part of the game was us sitting there like extras in a movie, waiting for someone to remember we were still locked inside.

Candle Land is such a wonderful experience for a date, birthday, or just a fun outing with friends…read more My fiancé took me here for my birthday, and Alex was our instructor and she was very friendly and a great teacher. She was so helpful in explaining the process, recommending scents to try, and being patient while I smelled literally every fragrance in the place at least twice over. The whole studio is SO cute with their decor, and since it was my birthday (and we were the only ones in the studio--it was a Thursday afternoon), Alex allowed me to pick the music we got to jam out to. The candle making process is truly hands-on at Candle Land, so whatever you make is 100% on you! However Alex was super informative with letting us know which fragrances had mixed reviews from other patrons, and even went so far as to offer a redo if we used a certain fragrance and didn't like it once we mixed it with another. It was so fun mixing the fragrances and finding that perfect balance between the two that I picked! We also got to pick out "toppings" for our candles like different dried flower petals, glitter, and I got a special confetti since it was my birthday that I chose to incorporate throughout my candle. The whole process took just about an hour, and that was with me deliberating over fragrances for a majority of the time. You're able to hang around the area and pick up the candles once they fully set in 45 minutes, or return another day if you can't stay. I love that Candle Land advertises the vessels as refillable, and even offers a discount to return and create a new candle once yours is burned through! It's basically a gift that keeps giving :) Even if you don't return to Candle Land, the vessels are super cute and can be repurposed for a ton of other things. Overall, I definitely recommend visiting Candle Land if you like candles and crafting. It's a fun, easy outing that anyone can participate in!

Note that you have to wait about 30-45 min after the class for the candles to dry before taking home; so if you are tight on time its something to keep in mind when booking a class! The class is $57 per person. The price includes all the materials needed for the class, the vessel and fragrance of your choice. If you would like to refill your candle its $25.
