This is a tough review to write because I think Zach, owner of Family Man Handyman, is more than…read morecapable of doing beautiful work and he is good with communication. However, my overall experience (including cost) have prevented me from hiring him again or recommending Family Man to others. I contacted this company to install a gliding garbage/recycling drawer behind a lower kitchen cabinet. In our new home, there isn't a pantry or really a good spot to put garbage, and I didn't want it out in the open! In addition, there were smaller jobs/odds and ends I wanted the handy man to look at IF he had time after installing the garbage drawer. In communication with Zach and on his recommendations, I purchased a glider system, appropriate garbage and recycling cans, and specific drawer handle from Home Depot prior to the appointment. Zach sent a fellow employee, Tom, which is where it started going wrong. Even with pictures and videos provided, Tom did not set up what we requested. Instead Tom apparently LEFT the house to go to the hardware store for some period of time to buy a completely separate system without asking me - he had my phone number and had been texting - and installed it without the drawer handle or any of the items I purchased! (Why am I charged time for him to go to the store?) Then, he did some of the smaller items on the list to mediocre results. For example the garage door that was stuck? Still stuck! Etc. I emailed Zach my disappointment and that Tom didn't accomplish what we asked at all. Zach then set up a time to come out himself and basically created my vision perfectly. Pictures included. To this day we LOVE our system - he even made the drawer "soft close". It's exactly what I had in mind. He also adjusted the invoice to fairly reflect 2 hours of Tom's time plus his day in our home. The final issue is the cost. In my mind, a "handy man" shouldn't cost an arm and a leg.. for a sliding garbage can behind a kitchen cabinet, it cost us $500 plus materials. It also irks me that we pay $75 for commute when his business is designed to come TO your home, and we live 15 minutes from Family Man. When Comcast comes out, do they charge you for commute? When we hired roofers from Tacoma, for example - a farther distance - they did not charge us $75 for the time it took to travel to our home. Zach is great at what he does - hence the 3 star review, you could still get exactly what you want - but quite honestly I'm not sure the people he's working with or the cost of services makes Family Man worth it. I wish I would have read a review such as this before spending $500.

It's nice to feel like you matter and not just another customer, thank you Justice and crew and I will always recommend the fence guy to anyone who wants a professional team that cares and puts the quality in it.

Jonathan came over and checked everything out, giving us the unfortunate update that we had a lot more issues than we actually knew. When he inspected our roof for a quote, he is the ONLY roofer who took pictures to explain to us what was going on up there. He is also the ONLY roofer who followed up with us after receiving the quote. We had a small legal battle due to our inspector being negligent which is why we didn't know about any of these roofing issues. We did some research on the products they were going to use and after everything we found out it was a clear choice for us on who to proceed with. We signed a contract with them in January and we just completed our roof and gutter installation before the end of March. There was a lot more damage than what we expected which made us even more grateful that we had Jonathan and his team working on our home. He communicated with us the entire time with daily updates on their progress. We are so grateful to LeMoine Roofing and would recommend them to anyone. We can't wait for more housing projects in the future and will absolutely be giving them a call.

In my experience in today's society, it's rare for anyone to give ideas outside of their own business just to help a potential future customer out. During the bathroom reno, we had A/C installed and they needed to knock out a small wall to access our furnace. Nate was able to squeeze in the drywall repairs for us and still meet his time estimate. He gave us a very reasonable quote for the drywall, revised his initial estimate accordingly, and came in exactly on time and exactly on estimate. Nate is fabulous and you should hire him. I'm trying to think of something non-glowing to say... sometimes he can express his opinion strongly. If you're a pushover who will yield to an expert instead of pushing back to make sure it's the way _you_ want it and be unhappy later, Nate might not be the best fit. In all other ways he's fantastic!

I got a quote, confirmed the quote was for two shower doors and then scheduled an appointment with them. On the day of the appointment, they were suppose to meet in the morning. I didn't hear from them and then started following up via text to see when the ETA was. The ETA kept getting pushed back further and further until late afternoon (4/5pm). I literally waited at home all day to get these shower doors installed. I didn't leave the house as I didn't want to miss them. Upon their arrival I come to find that they quoted for only one door. I had mentioned (very nicely) that I had sent direct links to two shower doors and even had it labeled as Shower Door 1 .... Shower Door 2 and confirmed numerous times install was for 2 doors for 2 showers. In the end they ended up not doing the job because they wanted to double the cost on me. This was extremely frustrating, unprofessional, and an absolute waste of time for me and them to come out to my job site.

I texted him with a photo on October 22, 2025 showing that the SW corner had popped up. No response. I called and he hung up on me. I left voicemail and he never responded. On December 22, 2025 I texted a video showing where now a 10 foot section of trim and TPO had popped up and the sheeting underneath was exposed about 3 inches all across the front of the house.
