Every teacher and staff member I've interacted with is professional, warm, and clearly passionate about what they do. They communicate clearly, follow through on everything, and create a calm, structured environment that still feels welcoming and joyful. What stands out most is how much personal attention they give to each child. They really get to know your child's personality, strengths, and interests, and they tailor the learning experience to help them thrive. My daughter's confidence, social skills, and academic abilities have blossomed because the teachers gently challenge her while celebrating every small success. They have helped her develop at her own pace in the best possible way. The family-style setting makes all the difference. It feels like an extension of home -- nurturing, supportive, and full of genuine care. My daughter looked forward to school every single morning. She would wake up excited, talking about her friends and what she would do that day. That happiness says everything. Here's my response: Unfortunately the schools response shows a large part of why we left. They are wrong and ruthless so they need to lie to support their comments. I paid them over $15,000 before we had any financial problems, and my children were there for 3 year not 2. I have the records so saying we paid them nothing until they sued us is a bold faced lie. There was a recession, we did have financial issues as many Americans did during that period and they were ruthless, they let our children return for a third year knowing this knowing we had some problems and then sued us when they found out we were leaving. Here's why we left. We paid over $9,000 for first grade thinking we had a teacher that had been with the school for years. On the first day of school we found out that she had left, that's a fact. Her replacement, we found out a few months later, was the daughter of another teacher at the school who had been there for years. We paid more (much more after they sued us) for a first year teacher, one year out of college who was pregnant from the day she was hired, I assume they knew it, assuring she would not even finish the first year, which she didn't, and she's did not come back the next year. It was the worst year we've had with our kids and we paid through the teeth for their hiring practices. My comments to prospective customers is, the school is only as good as the teacher. They had some good teachers when our kids were younger, no idea if they are still there. But paying $9K a year for my child to be taught by a first year, pregnant teacher, when no one at the school told me her mom was in the other room and was the main reason she was hired was just plain wrong any way you cut it. We paid dearly for that hiring mistake, hopefully no one else will. Oh and a static web site with no ability to log in, view your kids grades, communicate with teachers or review your child's work is not very useful. But hey, they think Al Gore invented the internet....

I have waited all summer to write this because I wanted it to be as un-emotional & succinct as possible. My kids attended 2 years of Montessori here. They loved the teachers but left for summer with very little support for the upcoming school year. Granted, one year was complex with COVID but there is no excuse to conduct a teaching environment if you're not following the Montessori method and actually teaching. I feel so sad for the teachers. They all mean well & love their students. However this place has had multiple admins turnover in a matter of 2 years, and teachers came & went just as easily. Unfortunately this was evident when multiple parents came together towards the end of the year and realized their kids (8-10) year olds still could not read at their grade level. This same group of parents spent their summer paying alternative schools (Kumon is who I hired) to supplement everything these kids had missed. Mind you, my son was complex and has not done well in any school due to a minor disability, however this wasn't just my son who required remedial tutoring & this review isn't solely based on my son's issues. They weren't proactive in helping me with educational resources , I had to get a 504 plan from a local elementary school, which he didn't even attend but they were willing to take me through the process. Along with charging a ridiculous amount of monthly tuition, they also had so many extra days off throughout the year...then charged extra for those care days if you were a working parent! I'm not talking holidays and 2 teacher work days. I'm talking once every month or two for no apparent reason, it was not on schedule with public schools many days they took off. They didn't pro rate, instead they charge you to "care" for, not teach your kids on those days off . the last month of school, also didn't prorate so you pay a month, get 21 days & then they charge you extra to help care for your kid the rest of the month! They also increased their tuition intermittently, I was paying approximately $1400+ per child. I'm telling you, this place will charge you & then send your kids home with subpar education to succeed thereafter. I am forever weary of Montessori going forward & have opted for charter.

The majority of the teachers are unprofessional and the principal does not have the leadership skills to identify or correct the problem. My child is in the 6th grade and several children have been inappropriately touched by other students and experienced racially related bullying as well. When parents spoke up, the staff retaliated against the students by taking away most of their privileges and cancelling all school events. Police have been present on the campus twice this year. My child, who has always been an A student, came home crying because his teacher led him to believe he is an F student. When I met with his teachers and principal, I found her story to lack any evidence and my son brought home all A's a few weeks later. I truly believe that the teacher was just being nasty. The principal and assistant supported this behavior from the teacher. I'm also shocked at the lack of education level of the faculty. There are very few times when there aren't spelling or grammar errors in what they distribute. My son has brought home reading materials with a set of questions for him to answer that didn't match the material. For the sake of the children in the Palm Harbor community that could benefit from a good private school, I hope there is a change in staff. This is not an inexpensive school by any means, I would not recommend considering this school at all.

We started our infant daughter at 14 weeks old at this Goddard campus while on the wait list for…read morethe owners' other school which is under construction in South Tampa. We had issues starting on Day 1 when we arrived and teachers were not wearing masks in the infant room. I told my concerns to the Director at the time who assured me they would wear masks moving forward. From then on we always saw her teachers in masks. We had several other issues including a lead teacher who did not provide our daughter any tummy time for several weeks, which we only noticed was happening after she stopped rolling over at home. On several pick up days, the fill in teachers in the afternoons were also using the iPads to show videos to our daughter. We also had some communication issues with her initial lead teacher Re later to scheduled and feeding. When the school director changed from Michelle to Ashley we had a discussion and Ashley addressed all of our concerns. They also brought in a new lead teacher for the infant room - Ms. Jessica - who we really loved and still think is a great infant teacher. The final straw for us, though, was 10 weeks after enrolling when we received the attached notification via the school's app on a Monday evening without any prior notice or warning. When I went to drop off our daughter the next morning, the director confirmed that vaccinated staff and parents would not be required to wear masks although they may still choose to. From what I experienced no one was checking vaccination status at the door. I told her we weren't comfortable with it, and she said that the decision was made by the owners the day before without any warning to anyone - teachers and staff as well. We weren't comfortable with this abrupt policy change, and I took our daughter home. I wrote to the director and asked that they reconsider requiring masks for teachers and parents in the infant room, otherwise we'd have to withdraw our daughter. I don't think this is an unreasonable request. They also already require you to clean your hands and put booties over your shoes to enter the infant room - why is a mask out of the question? The owner wrote me back and said they wouldn't be changing the mask policy and understood our decision to leave the school. The abrupt policy change without warning really put us in a horrible position. Thankfully we have grandparents who live close by and can help care for our daughter while we look for another solution, but if we didn't we would have no choice but to leave our daughter in a situation that we feel is too risky at this point. As a daycare which is intended to provide childcare for working parents, the school's actions have affected my job. Their actions certainly lost my trust and confidence that their school is managed and operated with my daughters best interests in mind. I am giving the school two stars because I do think the director and many teachers mean so well and do care about your children, but I think this school is experiencing several growing pains and that their management has some learning to do re: parent communication and relations. The same owners will be running the South Tampa campus when it opens as well and so we will no longer be attending that campus.

Our child is happy, hugs and loves in the staff like they're family. We are SO thrilled to be a Goddard family! The school is quick to notify if there are health concerns like Covid or RSV. This has allowed us to keep our son safe in times of higher transmission. It's true the staff doesn't wear masks, but we personally prefer that to assist with ensuring our child can communicate effectively with staff members. His previous school wore masks and that seemed to delay his learning. This school was recommended to me by a friend who's child also attends and raves about her child's teachers. Lastly, the school isn't covered in gross carpet. They have tiled / laminate flooring that can be easily sanitized. I'm a big believer that this helps keeps the kiddos safe and healthy. Tuition is paid monthly and again, everything is very up front and directly communicated. Colleen is available for any parent any time. What more could you ask for?

Many of the schools i toured previously were very wishy washy with their procedures and policies. I wanted a place that felt like home, had a respectable kind staff, but had clear expectations and guidelines for my son's safety and care. I toured school with a long check list of questions and all of my concerns were addressed professionally. My son (17m) has been attending since he was 10 weeks old. As a first time mom everything was overwhelming and frightening to start. The whole staff was so helpful and welcoming to start. Bianca and her team made this very difficult transition seem very smooth. I remember on our first day she invited me to call the classroom as many times as I needed. I did my best to focus on my work and trust they had him. She was kind enough to call me. Just to check in and give me an update knowing this was a big day for both of us. Bianca was incredible when it came to difficult things like transitioning to solids, sickness, and developmental milestones. Now my son is in the 1's class and he's learning so much everyday. Management helped ease the transition both as a staff member and as a parent. Which I am highly appreciative of because being happy in my work place and knowing that my daughter is safe and happy where she spends her day is extremely important to me. My daughter recently turned 2 and they have been working on potty training with her which helps the transition into potty training at home as well. Her language has also developed quite a bit in the last few months she's coming home singing songs from circle and talking about things she's learned that day (we have been getting a daily sheet showing us what curriculum has been covered each day which her dad and I find helpful with knowing exactly what she is doing each day.) Her dad and I both have the parent app and it's nice to see pictures and updates on her potty training, snack, lunch, and nap so we know how her day is going! My daughter loves all the teachers there! We loved having Ms. Bri when she was in the toddler class room. Many times when I picked her up her face was dirty since she's had runny nose and no one bothered to clean her up. My child is sick and I told them I need to remove her out of the program they still force me to pay 2 weeks withdraw period and of course my child could not be there for the last whole week due to high fever and coughing so much that she would throw up many times and that last week cost us $500 for nothing. Opps, sorry your child got sick, you still need to pay us no matter what. And the funny thing is they ignored me when I asked for the final number on my last bill, 3 days later, after I sent couple emails and text messages they finally gave me a number and guess what the experience not bad enough so they go ahead and charged me extra $200 on top of what I have to pay on my last bill. The director told me they will return the money they overcharged me back and a week already still see nothing. So of course I have to email back and forth for many times, now they told me it takes up to 6 weeks for it to get the money they overcharge me back. They are very fast to enroll you in to get your money but when there is a problem they will talk around but no action. Plus the whole time she was in the program I received 0 pictures of her and the activities feed update was really bad and delay all the time. Anyway it is really "the learning experience" for my family after all.
