He took the time to listen to the concerns that I had about my current mattress and made recommendations on what I should switch to. The employees were very nice but it was the delivery schedule that was the problem. I was told that I could schedule it for after one oclock or on a sunday. I took the one oclock weekday. The night before I was told my window of time was 10:30-2:30 and that the Sunday appointments were all filled. I know this is tedious but I changed my schedule to be available at 1 and then they told me I had to wait another week for delivery. Delivery is also 79 dollars if that makes a difference to anyone. read more

I purchased a Thermapedic mattress from Mattress Factory in Deptford, NJ, in September 2022.. The salesman raved about the mattress and emphasized that the sides were reinforced. While writing up the order, he said that there was a delivery charge of $69 to be paid to the delivery driver ."in cash". I thought this was unusual, but complied. Within 3 weeks from the delivery date, the sides of the mattress where I would sit to get into bed, put my socks on, etc. was sinking and not returning to it's original form. I rotated the mattress, which for a handicapped senior, was quite difficult. The other side did the same. After about 6 weeks, I returned to the sore to discuss what I believed was a defective mattress,. The man I spoke with was quite curt and said that I had to go to their website, pay a $69 fee for someone to address this issue. I questioned this and he said that he was a vice-president, that was the policy, and walked away from me. His name was Mark Leone I left the store quite unhappy refusing to pay a $69 fee just to have someone from Mattress Factory come to look at the defective mattress. The mattress sides continued to get worse and one night while sleeping I got too close to the collapsed side and fell out of bed, hit my head on the night stand, wound up with numerous bruises, as well as skinned, bloody knees from carpet rug burns. Being handicapped, it took me 10-15 minutes to get off the floor. I am now stuck with a $900 horrible defective mattress that has become a hazard to me. I would not recommend this store to anyone. The salesmen were all smiles and friendliness to get you to buy from their store, but if you have a problem, vice-presidents dismiss you like a school child. There is no service after the sale. Avoid this store at all costs cause they don't want to see you if there is a problem. read more

My fiance and I were shopping for a mattress and who knew it is almost as hard as buying a car?!? Air, memory foam, bamboo, spring? Online or instore? Warranties? We really did our homework (online reviews, calling around, visiting stores, etc.) and I suggest that everyone does to find what is right for you. We finally went to The Mattress Factory in Deptford, NJ and met Mark. He greeted us the second we walked in, gave us plenty of space to look & talk to each other, knew the product extremely well (28 years in the business) and made the process easy for us. When it was all said and done, we left and are now sleeping on our new memory foam mattress. We couldn't be happier and I recommend this place to anyone in the market for a new mattress. ....and ask for Mark! read more

Mark Leotta, What a great Experience! We knew what we were looking for as far as size, type and pretty flexible on brand from doing a little bit of research on our own. After speaking to you for a couple minutes I knew you know what you are talking about. We went in just shopping prices and after the 10 minutes dealing with you I knew we were getting our mattress from you. You were very honest about what to expect and not expect from certain types of beds, you were not pushy with the sale and you encouraged us to not believe anything you said and to go home and read customer reviews on the particular products. We did a little research before like I said and we decided to order a mattress that day. We were just driving around when we stopped in and i am glad we did, because I look up reviews before going to shops and if i read some of these reviews first I wouldn't have thought about going in. I AM GLAD I DID NOT READ THEM! Some of the reviews are just the complete opposite of the experience we had. So the mattress was paid for and being delivered. I know with a lot of companies this is where the customer care stops. We got a call the day before delivery explaining we had about a 4 hour window when the Bed set would arrive. We saw the truck pull up within that 4 hour time we were excited but we knew that it was going to be tough getting the set up into our 2nd floor walk up. (90 Degrees out too) The two guys who delivered were great, they joked with eachother and myself about the steps but did not complain or waste any time. I think delivery, setup and cleanup was less than 15 minutes. I wish I remembered their names so i can give them the credit they deserve on this review and a phone call to the store. I have been saving for some time, for a new mattress. I had just left sears, and it didn't even occur to me at first to stop here @ mattressFactory, until I was on my way home and saw it. I go in and I'm immediately greeted. My representative was Alex Crown. He wasn't pushy, he didn't pressure me. I was very pleased. I told him what I had wanted. He showed it to me. Then I saw one last mattress and it looked like it was out of my price range, BUT I GOT IT. He gave me a fantastic deal. He wasn't pulling the wool over my eyes. He made my day!!! 8 months ago an old boyfriend and I started our mattress shopping journey. We had gone to a couple of places to get a feel for it. We took what we learned with us to see what the Mattress Factory had in store. When we arrived, an older gentleman (I believe around his 60s) greeted us when we walked in. And by greeted, I mean his view on what a greet is, not your normal friendly greet. Anyway, I was discussing what we were looking for, and explaining where we had been and prices we were offered. (isnt that what you do? look and ask around for the best mattress and the best sale price?) Regardless, he told us our offer sounded too good to be true and to go back to Sleepys. We did, and when we were greeted and explained prices there, she kindly asked and said shed see if she could get us the best deal. (WHAT A GOOD SALES ASSOCIATE IS SUPPOSED TO DO) . We ended up dropping 700 bucks on a king, with a lovely mattress that she thankfully was able to lower for us. Had a smile the entire time. (Please note we obv went with the cheapest mattresses bc of our budget, but found a gem within them.) So months later, I moved out and am ready to get another mattress . I decided to give the Factory another shot, just because I knew Id be happy with Sleepys and I wanted to give it a chance again. So I walk in, same guy says hello and hed be right with me. So im looking around. He finally comes up and asks what im looking for and my price range. I told him last year I bought an inexpensive not name brand king size bed on sale from sleepys for 700$ and because I want a queen i was hoping to be in the 400 range. He told me this was unrealistic and to go back to sleepys. Basically told me to leave.... I HAD IT. I told him, while the customer in the store he was helping was laying on beds, he was extremely ridiculous. That his customer service skills were awful. That he lost a sale, from a nice young respectable girl just because of his awful tone. even heard him say when he went back to that customer "im not worried about it" I was just trying to buy a f*cking bed no need to act like a DICK. I left feeling hurt. I don't need to be talked to in that tone when Im a nice person, just trying to shop. I didnt say it cocky or anythiing, I was professional when I said what I spent last year. He asked about my range so I told him. Fucking stupid. I hope someone reads this and it screws him out of commission, because he really deserves it. Im sure hes the type who went through an awful divorce because he wife couldnt deal with the stick up his ass and left him. Why else be such a miserable person?!!??? read more

This is for the new store on Crosskeys Rd. in Williamstown. I had a horrible experience in this store. The sales manager named "Dan" was extremely unprofessional, arrogant, curt, condescending and rude. He made it clear he was not on commission and acted as if he didn't care if I bought a mattress or not. I did not deserve to be treated like this, I entered the store prepared to spend a lot of money and was definitely put off by Dan. The store may have nice merchandise and prices but I'll never know, I will tell everyone I know of this experience. read more

Buyers beware! I purchased a bed for my son from the mattress factory in Deptford two months ago. Today, he was just getting out of bed and the box spring SNAPPED!! He was not jumping on the bed or abusing the bed as suggested by Jim the very ignorant and condescending sales person. I was informed that the box spring is covered under they warranty BUT it will cost me $45 for an examiner to come out and make sure it was they're responsibility...like my son sawed it in half or repeatedly let all of his friends jump on it for hours and hours....IF it is a manufacturer's defect, they will replace it and CHARGE me a delivery fee to replace and remove the broken one!!!!!! DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THESE FRAUDS OR IF YOU DO, DON'T EXPECT ANY RESOLUTION SHOULD YOU HAVE A PROBLEM!! read more

Worst shopping experience ever! The salesman was rude and arrogant. He let it be known he was non-commission sales but was more rude than every commission sales rep I worked with at competitors. He told me I didn't know what I was talking about when I let him know some of the current quotes I had for a particular brand & type of mattress & said I was being lied to & wouldn't find what I wanted for that price. He kept yelling at me everytime I tested a bed out telling me I was doing it wrong. He then told me I needed to test it out with a pillow & while me & my boyfriend were laying on a bed testing it out proceeded to throw a pillow at my head which hit me in my face. My boyfriend, my mother, & myself nearly lost it at that point and left. We went to the sleepys down the street & had the nicest sales lady & got the bed I wanted at the price this sales guy told me was impossible for the one I wanted. You sir lost a sale! read more

We just left Mattress Factory in Deptford, New Jersey after buying a mattress for our guest room. All of the signs attached to the mattresses said that the salesman do not work on commission and that was apparent. We were immediately approached by Ron who quickly assessed our needs and led us to a medium priced mattress. We then compared it to mattresses below and above in price and realized that he had steered towards a mattress that perfectly fit our needs. While we were there, Ron excused himself in embarrassment to answer the phone. As he interacted with the only other employee in the building, the customers on the floor and the person on the phone, he handled himself kindly and courteously. The same cannot be said of the other employee. He spoke down to Ron as he helped us and was not as pleasant. If we had run into him first I believe our whole experience would've been different. I plan to return here to purchase a mattress for our room in the near future. read more
