Let's change names and see if anyone notices. Bed Bath & Beyond is now the new brand name for distressed merchandise seller Overstock.com making the BB&B brand an exclusive online retailer. Overstock clearly needed to evolve beyond their unfair reputation for selling bottom feeder oddities and BB&B was clearly in need of a last minute reprieve from the bankruptcy court governor. Overstock meet Overpriced. We'll see if this new digital Frankenstein can overcome pricing and availability issues which clearly plagued BB&B as their creditors closed in. Purchased 2 nightstands on Bed, Bath and Beyond website that stated assembly required - for $680, after %20 coupon and that was on sale. I assumed for the price tag they would be of good quality, they looked nice in picture and the assembly would be a drawer pull, or putting the drawers in etc., "Assembly" turned out to be every single panel for all 3 drawers, legs, back, top etc., getting pieces to line up was impossible and several pieces did not have pre drilled holes. The constant rubbing of parts of table caused paint to chip and scratches.- It was horrible cheap Chinese crap. The return shipping was over $150. and requires intact packaging which was hard to keep given the sheer amount of pieces and parts. I left a review on the BB & B site that was declined (as I stated in it that the product was not worth cost and mentioned that consumers would be better off purchasing from any TJMaxx, Marshalls or Home Goods for better quality and price and that is against the review policy). When I called to have the review removed so I could leave a new one without mentioning other companies - they stated they could not do so. Oh, the trouble that I could get myself into here. I kept a "lid" on myself during this particular visit so my 20% off one item coupon truly reflected some savings! I got a "Flawless," after I tried my girlfriend's (A+++ for this device, BTW!). A staff member helped me find it (they were strewn throughout the HUGE store). I hadn't been in a while, so I was completed lost and like a deer in the proverbial headlights! So many new gadgets and wonderful things! Checkout was friendly and easy and I left with a list of things I want to go back and purchase when I have some "extra" money. read more

Bed Bath and Beyond Deptford has the most Rude Manger named Lou. Guy walks by us at 9:45pm and says we're closing in 15 minutes. Kristen responded Ok. Less than 2 minutes later he walks by and says we're closing in 10 minutes (it's 9:47pm I wear a watch). Kristen said yeah I know. You told us a minute ago. (He literally walked by us less than 2 minutes before 2 rows over!) The guy immediately gets an aggressive voice and says don't get snappy with me. It took all my inner strength to hold back and not get arrested for this ass being so rude to Kristen. We decided to walk out of the store and buy the kitchen items from Macy's instead. On the way out I saw this evil elf and said good night. Then I said if you were not so rude we would have purchased our big ticket item here. (Knowing he'd flip his lid). Sure enough his head looked like a steam whistle about to go off. We had a brief exchange and I left. In the parking lot a couple in a white explorer spoke to us and said they have never seen a manager be so rude to customers before and we should let corporate know. So here I am documents my story for posterity and call them on Monday. This guy should not be dealing with this public. read more

I originally came in to make a return purchased online and it was a hassle free and no crazy line experience. End up spending more money on great deals. Haha. Been to one.. been to them all. They all pretty much sell the same overpriced crap. If you don't have the 20% coupon (to bring it to a normal price) I'd recommend looking elsewhere. Registry section is pretty nice and helpful. Went there to buy a friend something and it was pretty painless. Just stopped in while killing time before meeting family for lunch. Decided I wanted to buy a Dyson as it is on my list of things to buy for the new house. Got to the register and was met with a very rude sales associate. She couldn't scan the 20 percent off coupon on my phone and got visibly agitated when I said I wasn't going to buy it without the coupon (that is 100 bucks off!). I guess I shouldn't stray from the bed bath and beyond that's close to home anymore. It's a shame, as all the other associates in the store were very helpful and courteous. I just wasted 45 minutes at this store. I was trying to purchase a Waterpik 5.5. Horrible service.

I did my wedding registery with megan and she was great! She was so helpful and nice. She knew imformation on everything, gave good advice, and told us the best brands. We Wanted to buy something that same day and megan gave us 20% off our item because we did our registry, she said just tell them megan said 20%!" However.......We go in line, waited for 20min, finally on our turn the cashier was SO RUDE! Such a great experience ruined by the checkout lady. Her name was michelle. She had a problem with the lady before us but i dont know what about but when we gave her our item she huffed and puffed like she was irritated. Then we told her megan gave us the 20% off and she told us no! We explained what megan had told us, she rolled her eyes and said "well i would need to call a manager to do that, i cant just give discounts." We said we would wait and she huffed and puffed again and asked for the money and didn't call the manager. We asked if she was going to call to give us the discount she yelled and pointed to the computer screen "no i gave you the 20%! Ugh!" She was awful. Other then our rude run in with michelle, megan was great and overall had a great day doing our registry. The only thing i do not like about bed bath and beyond as a company is their online website. Megan told us we can add or change anything online whenever we like. The website is so annoying and the app is worse! It is a headache in a nutshell. I also emailed the customer service for questions and still have not heard back and its been a week. read more
