What a bummer. I used to like Mayfield Smoke Shop (and spent several hundred dollars since January on cigars and cigar accessories), but not after today. Who I assume is the owner said one of the most obnoxious anti-Semitic tropes today. "Shut the (air conditioned shop's) door, you're letting the Jews out"! The muscleboy/Mighty Mouse also decided to try to bust my ba**s after I bought $97 worth of cigars. It didn't go so well for Mighty Mouse, the loudmouth proprietor, because after I threw his taunts back in his face, he got flustered, squeezed out a forced chuckle, and turned his attention elsewhere. The are better, hassle-free, cigars than MSS in the Cleveland area, including the far more welcoming Havana Choice, to name just one. read more

I have no idea if the guy was an owner or an employee, but he started harassing us and cursing because we refused to buy something that was way overpriced. He raised prices right in front of us. Didn't have a chance to sit and smoke, but if I make it back to Cleaveland I will have to stop back. I stopped to buy a box of Buckeye's by crownhead. Only available in Cleaveland. Good smoke but maybe not worth the $50 Uber ride and not being able to sit and smoke one at the lounge. It would of been fun to sit outside, smoke, people watch and talk story with the owner. They have an expansive selection and the owners are highly knowledgeable - great for assisting novice cigar smokers in choosing something to try. The Mayfield Smoke shop is a cute little Cigar store. They had a wonderful selection of sticks. Everything from $5 CAO's to high end Cigars like Ashton's and Cohiba's. My visit was typical of many Cigar shops I've experienced. You get the evil eye from the regulars as soon as you open the door. Once they realize you know your Cigars, they go about their business and move onto to other things. I found a hidden Gem at Mayfield. They carry the Miami made, El Titan de Bronze. For those of you who haven't tried this wonderful, Miami-made Cigar, I highly recommend it. Its a tasty stick that's reasonably priced. You won't find a better Cigar in the $7 range. This store was stocked to the nines and had something for everyone. Here's the smoky bottom line: The Mayfield Smoke shop is officially my go to Cigar store in Cleveland. They have everything a Cigar junkie like me could ask for and its all reasonably priced. I can't wait for my return visit. read more

The other viewer being harassed for parking in front of this place is spot on! Don't support this terrible business. They have a sign out front that says "Parking for Mayfield Smoke Shop" and I parked there because there were no other spots and well, it's a public street and I can park wherever I want. She can buy that spot from the city of Cleveland if she wants it reserved for her customers just like the valet services down the street do. I got out and the rude women came out and told us we can't park there and I said "Uh yeah I can, it's a public street." I was walking down the street to Presti's and was going to be back in 10 minutes and she said "Well, you better hope your car's still there when you get back!" This lady is delusional, she was calling someone, presumably a tow truck, to try and tow me from a public street that says "1 hour parking" and I was going to be there for 10 minutes. I told my wife to go to Presti's and I'll wait at the car and I saw the owner of the smoke shop was writing my license plate number on post it notes and she was on the phone! I was laughing, how stupid is this lady? What on earth is she doing? Totally ruined this trip to Little Italy. Next time I go there, I'm going to park there again and if she opens her mouth, I'm going to call the cops, I can't believe she thinks she can get away with this. There are a number of things you should consider when you're opening a business. If there are no parking spots for your business, tough luck, rent a place with a parking lot. I came home from out of town to visit family and I wanted to buy a cigar for the person dog sitting for me. I stumbled upon the Mayfield Smoke Shop. What a cute little place. Filled with a wide variety and the friendliest people I have ever met. Not having much knowledge on cigars, they took the time to educate me on the many different types there are. I had my two daughters with me, so these kind people let my 8 year old use their restroom and allowed me to sit down to feed my baby. It's not everyday you stumble upon such genuinely nice and generous people. I highly recommend the Mayfield Smoke Shop for all your cigar needs. read more

Nice wide selection of cigars - from mild to strong, from dirt cheap to not so cheap. I found $1 cigars and I found OpusX and VSGs. Theres something for everyone here. I didnt see anything in there that was overpriced. Now on to the better news - the owner and her people are as nice as can be. if you cant feel at ease in this place, check with your doctor.....and to top it all off, icing on the cake, this store is in the heart of little italy - so you're next door to great meals and bakery goodies. read more

Unclear why others would rate this place high.... if you are in little italy and want a cigar to take home...I would think this place could accommodate you... if you want a cigar and a place to smoke... I was desperate to find cigars for the birth of my daughter and stumbled across this little hidden secret on Mayfield Road. It was exactly what I was looking for. The gentlemen sitting around talking walked me through around 15-20 cigars after telling them my price range. I ended up buying 4 different ones and smoking half of one with the older guys there. Best costumer service. This place is what little Italy is all about- re people in small snitch stores. I was working 70 hour weeks, so I did not have time to do Christmas shopping. Pipe smoke was on someones Christmas List. I forgot about it till Christmas Eve- Eve. I called them up frantic. They picked out a pipe smoke, wrapped it for me, and got it in the mail- they even signed my name. This will now be my go to "smoke" shop for any cigar or pipe gifts. read more

I really can't speak for the main portion of this business, as I'm not a user of anything smokey, but I can say that the people here are always friendly and I'm never disappointed. Every once in awhile, my boyfriend needs cigarettes and I need a Mexican Coca Cola at the same time. We all have our vices. And the smoke shop just happens to cater to both of ours! Not to mention it's a less than a handful of minutes' walk from our apartment. This place wins on a few levels: local, convenient, good products and friendly. read more

THIS PLACE IS RACIST!!! My girlfriend just came back from Little Italy shaking and almost in tears. She was running some errands and looking for parking. She pulled into a parking spot in front of the Mayfield Smoke Shop. She noticed there was a sign next to the parking spot but before she could read it, a "gentleman" came out of the Smoke Shop and started yelling at her and told her to move. The homemade sign read something to the effect of "if you aren't shopping at the Smoke Shop, you can't park here." No problem, she moved. As she was doing this, the old ponytailed man says, "She's Chinese, she can't read." My girlfriend, who is of Asian descent, got out of the car and confronted the man about what he had said. This made him even more angry and he said, "Well, you are probably from China!" Keep in mind, that during this exchange, he is aggressively in her face to the point where he is almost touching her (She is 5'1"). She responded by telling him she born and raised in California (not that it would matter anyway). This is the kind of person who represents the Mayfield Smoke Shop. If you have a soul, DO NOT SHOP HERE!!! We will be telling every single person and organization we know and are part of to boycott this establishment. read more

There are some pretty nice people that work there, but for a rollie smoker like myself (i.e. I roll my own cigarettes or ryo), this doesn't cut it. Not that I have been to many places in my life that have a good selection of ryo stuff (the tobacconist in nickel's arcade in a2 is the exception). I am a fan of Peter Stokkebye tobacco and I have called around to every tobacconist in the city and not one of them carries this lovely line of tobacco. Mayfield does carry Bali Shag my 2nd fav brand and that stuff I liked before I switched to the Stokkebye tobacco. I did ask them there if they take requests and would order new products (you can't really buy tobacco online, but i do get my filters and papers online) and they said they would so i am hoping for the day when my brand is in. The last 2 times i have been there they have been out of Bali Shag, so I had to go with American Spirit which is a tobacco that I loathe. 1st of all it is cut horribly. I know some people like that thicker cut tobacco more like what is in a taylor-made cigarette, but I don't. I bought all 3 different types of Am Spirit to test them out and so far all I have tried is the dark red pouch, labeled organic and it is super harsh, not my taste at all. They do way overcharge for Am Spirit there though and for their tobacco in general, especially since it seems that taylor-made packs are much cheaper here than they were in philly. It just seems odd that ryo would cost more, not more that buying as many taylor-mades that you can get out of a ryo but still inflated prices for sure. Hopefully the other pouches I got are better. They also have some other kind of tobacco I have never heard of in these very large plastic pouches for only $20. That scares me since it is great deal of tobacco and it's so cheap. Maybe once I'll give it a shot, but seems dicey. read more
