They make drinks that are familiar to fans of Starbucks but they are not a franchisee. The food served at 1887 Café is made by the Bethel College food service, which is run by Aladdin if I'm not mistaken. They do serve different items that can be eaten with coffee for breakfast as well as salads and sandwiches that can be eaten for lunch. Many of the staff that are serving customers are actually college students at Bethel College. They have both indoor and outside patio seating

They're bakery case is great, I do miss the biscuits and gravy, but their current offerings are very good with a selection of morning buns, breakfast burritos, muffins and such. They're currently managed by Reverie Roasters out of Wichita so the menu shook up a little bit but the coffee is still great, just a few of the menu items have changed or been replaced. It's located on the Bethel Campus and has a small patio with 3-4 tables and 8-10 inside. Just a really nice little campus and community coffee place!

Moxi hires individuals with special needs to work as baristas and bakers. What an awesome concept! As someone who used to work with individuals with special needs, finding employment after high school was over was one of the biggest obstacles - this is the kind of business we need to see more of! They have delicious looking treats and lots of seating upstairs and down. Fun rockers adorn the front porch that invites you to come an stay awhile. Laren opened the door and greeted us and the barista was very informative and answered all of our questions.

If you think about the size of a regular dessert bar versus this, not only was this about the size of two you might normally get elsewhere, but the quality and the taste let you know this thing was homemade and made with love.
