We love our neighborhood plant store! The place is big and filled with everything you need for your plant needs. Both the indoor and outdoor spaces are crammed with plants. The staff are very friendly and will help you with any plant questions you may have. Parking is rough in an industrial neighborhood next to Bayshore, but we've always been able to find something close by. The prices are worth it! read more

I bought 3/4 indoor plants here so far. The ficus decora burgandy I got today is three plants in one, so I can almost say I have more than four indoor plants. The prices are as expected for the city. Getting our Christmas tree here in early December was easy and straightforward. They have a great selection with reasonable prices. We ended up with a beautiful Douglas fir. The process was simple and quick: 1. Pick out tree (colored ribbons indicate the type and price) 2. Outside employee fills out order form indicating how you want your tree packaged 3. Take order form inside to pay at the cashier 4. Pick up tree outside Service was friendly and helpful. They were able to install the tree into our own stand, place netting on the tree for cleaner transport (for a small fee) and offered to help bring the tree to our car (note they cannot help tie the tree to your car). Flowercraft is fine. It's not really a nice place to browse, given the proximity to super busy roads, and the constant cacophonous sound of breaking glass from like a nearby recycling plant or something. Prices were meh. It was a PITA to get all the way down here from SF proper and I was expecting some deals, but I was met with mostly completely average prices and some that were absolutely preposterous, like a really jacked-up looking near leafless crassula that was marked at like 38 dollars. Inside/outside checkout instructions were confusing, staffing was almost non-existent and I didn't see anything I liked anyway so I took the bus to a nearby nursery instead. read more

Lovely garden & place to shop for your garden needs. The plants there appear to be well cared for. Everything was organized. There are some discount racks where some soil bags are ripped and taped. It's always good to check. Also another discount rack in the back for the outdoor plants. Minor gripe is that some of the indoor tiny succulent didn't have price tag on it and I didn't want to bother asking because the store was closing at the time and people appear to be busy. It's nice that certain times there are that parking lot. Not the safest area outside, but you park there, get what you need and you're okay. Service seems to be good for the most part. Great selection of living Christmas trees at competitive prices. Ours is lovely ! Also bought soil to plant my new bulbs and other lovely plants for my outdoor deck garden and our indoor air plant collection. The service was great - they loaded our cart with all our selections and there was parking in back to unload. Go early in the morning before they are busy. I started coming here when I picked up gardening as a pandemic hobby and every staff member I've interacted with has been kind, thoughtful, and a wealth of information. Lydia runs a great shop and I'm so thankful for this oasis in Bayview. This year I'm working on a gardening project at a local elementary school. The garden was destroyed by construction last year so after mulching it all, I wanted some plants to brighten it up. Noel spent over an hour helping me pick out edibles, succulents, and flowers from the "bargain basement", and brainstorming ways to build the beds out in a way that discourages gophers from getting to it. When I came in I felt daunted by my project, but left feeling encouraged and excited to tackle it. Flowercraft is everything that one could hope for out of a local business and I am a customer for as long as I can survive in this city! read more

Flowercraft is the go to plant nursery in and near SF. They have a wide variety of plants that are in season both for outdoor and indoor. Their prices are much better than some of the other places and most importantly--the folks there know so much about what to get for certain locations in my yard, what might be wrong with a plant etc. Amazing team!! An extremely impressive collection of plants. I appreciated all the "one way" markers on the floor and signage for limiting two people at a time in the smaller corners of the place. They definitely promote social distancing. As the fires increase and people are bored at home, turning your house into an indoor jungle has been increasing more and more on social media. It was hard to limit myself to only three plants when there was a beautiful selection, but the price point was a bit higher for me. We decided to stop by because my husbands grandma has lived up the street from here for several decades and used to love coming here. I was looking for white planters and fresh planted white florals for my wedding ceremony. I called a few garden centers who weren't able to help me, but after emailing with the owner of Flowercraft, I knew I was in good hands. My father and I came to the store with some photos, and Meredith helped make our vision come to life! She suggested different floral types that would work best and she even had all of the modern white planters I was looking for! Meredith was so friendly and knowledgeable about flowers! As an added service, Meredith took care of the flowers and made sure they looked beautiful for my wedding day. We picked them up the week of the wedding and they looked amazing at our ceremony! My wedding planner even commented how great of an idea that was, and as an eco-friendly added bonus, we took home the flowers after the wedding and are planning to plant them in my dad's backyard. Go here not Lowe's. I came here to ask about plants that hummingbirds like. First of all, all the employees were all incredibly nice. The woman who ended up helping me was also super super knowledgeable. She gave me tons of options and knew the exact growing conditions needed. Plus the prices were good. Maybe a tiny bit higher than a Lowe's or Home Depot but the plants looked SO much better. I only really looked at hummingbird plants but they seemed to have a good selection of so much. Only downside is parking but there are some spots around the back and it's SO WORTH IT. I got my plants home and a hummingbird came to check them out on my deck before I even got a chance to plant them. Seems like validation from the most important critic. read more

After going to 2 nurseries and a a big box garden center we were given the name of Flowercraft where they had healthy rhododendrons that we wanted for our yard!
