I'd never experienced Reiki before, didn't know much about it and decided to give it a try as well. The first time with her was like being so relaxed that my mind seemed to drift in and out of consciousness like being on some incredible drug that doesn't exist. The second experience was different. I'd done a little research on how Reiki works and how it could possibly help me with GAD which I've had for about 15 years. So I went back with an intention and my experience was much different. It was definitely just as relaxing as the first time but memories began coming to the surface that I hadn't thought about in a long time followed by unexpected emotions. That session triggered a thing in me that came out later that day and for the next few days. That was about a month ago I believe and since then I've not needed meds for anxiety except for a few times. This is really huge for me! She measured and weighed me. Amber mixes cardio with strength training utilizing body weight and free weights to work every part of the body. Her workout keeps your heart rate up so that you are always working out at an optimal level. She asked that I email her a daily food/exercise log so that I was conscious of what I was putting in my body. Amber recommended protein shakes as well as a lean diet. My goal was to lose weight and get ready for hiking in the high altitude mountains of Lincoln National Forest. Although it had been a long time since I had hiked in the mountains, Amber's training gave me the stamina to complete numerous hikes, including a six hour solo hike in the mountains. Her services are well priced and I was very happy with my results. Amber has also performed Reiki on me. She has very powerful skills. Her hands generate a lot of heat. I am not the same person I was when I started. Each treatment is slightly different depending on what I come in with and I am always amazed by what it is I feel during and after a treatment. Audrey does an amazing job at listening to what it is I share and she supplements a treatment that boost my healing with whatever it is I am feeling physically and/or emotionally. This includes a wrist surgery and shoulder pain from work overuse (I'm a massage therapist). I also really enjoy the nuggets of Chinese medicinal wisdom she drops in during my treatments, they give me something to conceptually grasp and a sense of relief, that what I am feeling is all part of a bigger picture and that I am okay.
