The man didn't greet us, but came out of the room and promptly asked if we had an appointment or lesson. We didn't and I explained why we were there. He stated he didn't have time (to help us) and asked me to come back later... A bit shocked, I explained I couldn't as I had other commitments later, so he went back into his little glass room and continued to what appeared to be stringing a guitar. I offered to leave my guitar there, but he didn't answer. I looked at my 7-year-old daughter who had picked out a guitar strap we were planning to buy and I asked her if she thought he was coming back... she said, "I don't think so..." After a minute or so of awkwardly standing there, he didn't return to the showroom, so we put the strap back and left. On the way out, I checked the sign in the front window that was lit up brightly displaying "open"... I guess not for us today. Worst experience in customer service I have ever experienced. My daughter and I are sorry (not sorry)for inconveniencing you and are taking our business elsewhere.

I wanted to support local business, plus I wanted my guitar strings immediately! Hours are SUPPOSED to be 11am - 5pm. It was 11:50am. Big neon sign flashing O P E N. Door is locked. Note on the door says "back at noon". Sit in car till about 12:05pm. Guy pulls up next to me yakking on Iphone. 5 more minutes pass. There is another customer waiting at the door, and a kid, looks to be a student that was dropped off in the cold, waiting too. Person yakking on phone finally gets out of car and turns out to be the "back at noon" person. (Online research after the fact lets me know that this person is Jeff Nickoloff) He lets everyone in - still talking on phone. I start looking for what I wanted on the walls, and apparently I went behind the counter...(I really couldn't tell it was a counter)...so the guy says "excuse me! you can't go back there" and I apologized. Guy still yakking on phone (about flooring and insulation R ratings). I put my hands in my pockets and wait a few more seconds...and then I kinda got pissed and walked out. So pissed that I am writing a freaking Yelp review. What kind of customer service is that? Seriously - I can get EVERYTHING cheaper on the internet, why would I come to your store? It's closed when it's advertised as open, and then I get treated like I'm going to steal stuff, and this guy ignores me. I read the other reviews on yelp: Jeff may be a great guitar teacher/player, but he sucks at customer service. Not sure if he also is the owner or not. Now I'm on Guitar Center's website ordering strings & a cheap capo. Sad.

It was a highlight of the trip! The market is right downtown in a gorgeous old building, make sure to look at the ceilings. There are public parking areas all around outside, but it does get busy. There are also side buildings and outdoor stalls nearby, so be sure to check them out. Inside is rows upon rows of amazing local vendors with food to enjoy there, or many items to buy and take home. Meat counters, fresh vegetables and fruit, sauces, Middle Eastern food, Greek, Mexican, Gyros, sandwiches, baked goods, salads and so much more are all over. Even stalls that repeat the same types of items have their own unique spin and history. It's busy, with people everywhere looking and enjoying their purchases. Prices are reasonable, especially how fresh and local everything is. I bought a bunch of small things to eat while we walked, together we bought shishkabobs and steak to enjoy at home the following day. It's a great place to shop local!

There is absolutely zero chance I stay in a hotel next time. I need a place with a kitchen. When I return, I fully intend to walk through this market, buy from no fewer than 10 stalls, and somehow end up preparing enough food for 25 people--even if it's only my family of four. The specialties here are endless. The uncooked pierogies nearly broke my heart because I had no way to take them home and cook them myself. Sausage lovers will be in heaven, and beyond that, you'll find incredible produce, fresh fish, quality proteins, and a wonderful representation of the many cultures that make Cleveland what it is. All of this is housed inside a historic building with stunning architecture that makes the experience even better. Pro tip: Climb the stairs to the second floor for an incredible bird's-eye view of the entire market. It's the perfect way to appreciate just how special this Cleveland landmark really is.

I wish the price was more inclusive. Like a family bundle that includes tickets, bag to apple pick, bucket of apples for the cannon, etc. then you just lay one price upfront. The apple cannon was a lot of fun and the kids had a great time. The event says it is open until 6. At 5 we decided to head up to the food truck and to get donuts and everything was closed up. They had a small stand inside with hot dogs and kettle corn. The place was really beautiful with the flowers and corn field plus cute picnic areas.

This store is one of my favorites in Downtown Amherst! They are known for their superb quality unique jewelry and accessories. One of my favorite things about The Mermaid's Tale is that every time I go, there's always something new and fresh to see. They also do wonderful events and promotions throughout the year including their much-loved Christmas Open House every November. I didn't realise that Océanne opened a second store location in 2021 in the Pinecrest mall on the east side and they also now have a Westlake location (Crocker Park Mall) which opened in 2024. This first location in the Gordon Square neighbourhood of Cleveland opened in October 2017. ITEMS -- They sell various items from vegan nail polish, cute shirts and dresses, candles, mason jar cups, hats, books, sweaters, baby clothes, and of course, jewellery. Their jewellery is made right there, in-house. Customer service was wonderful when I first visited in April 2023 - the employee working answered my questions and she was very friendly. I visited recently again in December 2024 just to browse the store but I didn't buy anything. The Femme Libre (free woman) t-shirt looks cute. ABOUT THE OWNER -- "Born in southern France, Anne's journey led her to Cleveland in 2002, where she married Doc Harrill. In 2006, with her husband's support, she established Océanne, blending French elegance with the vibrancy of the American Midwest.
