The Mighty Untouchables were our band at our 7/11/15 wedding at Orfila Vineyard. I cannot rave enough - they are INSANELY good - HIRE THEM!!! OMG. This is THE band you want at your wedding. We hired The Mighty Untouchables to play at our wedding last weekend and I CANNOT stress enough how absolutely incredible they were. They completely made our wedding! We still have guests (who don't even live in San Diego) asking us what the name of the band was and raving about how insanely good they were. They had every single guest on their feet dancing the entire night. They are extremely talented and sounded better than most of the singers/bands they were covering. I attended a wedding at Humphreys. After the reception ended a large group of us went to the bar next door, Humphrey's Backstage (I think that's what it's called). What we walked into was an amazing band playing this mixture of pop/funk/motown/dance music that kept everybody moving. I had been dating my girlfriend for quite a while at that point and new that I would one day pop the question. That night I realized I had found our wedding band and so I took one of their business cards. Fast forward two years later...I (finally) proposed to my girl and one of the first things I did was pull out that old business card and call TMU. Luckily they were available the date we selected. Wow!!!! We used TMU for our wedding, and we can't say enough good things about this band, and neither can our guests!!! They made our wedding simply amazing, so fun and energetic, and we'd recommend them to anyone! First, Danielle, the manager, is incredibly professional, responsive, and will go above and beyond to ensure your day goes smoothly. She was so friendly and helpful during the entire process. She even met with our on-site coordinator twice before the wedding day to ensure the setup, sound, etc. would work out since we had a somewhat complicated setup. Then, my husband (who used to be in a band and has incredibly high standards for bands) wanted to get up and do a jam session with the band, and they were totally open to it! Lastly, we were pretty particular about the music we wanted and they sent us a set list three times, heard all our feedback, and made changes. We couldn't believe how flexible and open they were! We looked at a few other bands and are so happy we chose TMU! They were just simply amazing and I could go on and on about how great they are! We did book the additional 3-piece horn band. Just do it! ;) We wanted a funk/jazz twist and this was just perfect. They can do any genre of music and it's all amazing - the voices, the musicians, the stage presence. Book them!!!! read more

We were initially referred to a different band when planning our wedding -and that band was booked and they immediately referred us to The Mighty Untouchables. We were very excited to check them out due to the excellent referral from the other band and they didn't disappoint - they amazed us! Needless to say, after our first call with Mark Fulton who was professional, personable and quite helpful - we signed them up! From our initial calls to completing the contract to adding extra time (twice!) - we could not be more thrilled with our decision. As we know, a band can make or break a wedding and The Mighty Untouchables made our reception the best it could be! Well this review is WAAAY overdue. My husband and I got married September 14, 2013 and it would NOT have been the same without The Mighty Untouchables. They were incredibly professional and SO amazingly organized I wasn't worried about a thing. I sprung a "surprise the groom" song on them and they were totally fine with it. We never got to rehearse and I just told them the song I wanted to do and they learned it to a T. Not only did they do everything we expected but they gave 110% and were excellent. Our guests all said the band was amazing. I wish we lived closer to San Diego so that we could go and hear them more often. I have no regrets from my wedding and that especially includes hiring this band. I wish I could get married again just so that they could play! haha not really but they're that good! We are so lucky that our wedding planner introduced us to The Mighty Untouchables. We were able to see them play in person at another gig, and we knew immediately that they were the band we wanted for our special day. They're extremely professional, flexible, and easy to work with. They went out of their way to accommodate our needs. We had an outdoor wedding, and TMU sounded so great, that neighbors came over the next day to ask for their information. My best friend was given the task to find a band for our wedding, and without exaggeration, she titled the email "there are no words, this is it!". We looked at one other band, and there was simply no comparison to the energy, quality, and talent of TMU. I have to admit, I am one who doesn't want every song to be poppy, of the times music, and all I had to do was mention to Mark that I wanted to incorporate something for everyone, and I want all ages to stay on the dance floor all night. AND THEY DID! I have never been to a wedding where everyone was on the dance floor the entire time, except for resting their feet or grabbing another drink, of course. They did an amazing job learning our first dance song which was not on their included list, and played such a wide variety that all sounded absolutely amazing. For months leading up to our wedding day both of our families would listen to their music via YouTube just because they're that great. My wife and I scheduled a meeting with Mark Fulton from The Mighty Untouchables about one year out from our wedding date. We had met and interviewed a few bands prior, once we met Mark we instantly felt a connection and knew that we wanted The Mighty Untouchables to play at our wedding. We attended a 50th birthday party last at the Rancho Sanat Fe Golf Club. Even when the power went out for two hours, this band never missed a beat! ( haha!) they wheeled out a grand piano and sang w an iPad and bingo drums. Once the power went back on, while in the middle of a song, they seamlessly transitioned back to their places and continued as if nothing ever happened. They are beyond talented! I had to write a review for The Mighty Untouchables after they performed at my wedding this past weekend. They were amazing! Not being from the area I had a hard time choosing a band since I hadn't heard any in person. I relied on my wedding planner from Bliss Events for recommendations and she spoke highly of The Mighty Untouchables. I also liked the fact that they were a set band who always performed together (whereas others seemed to rotate members in and out based on the event). They were easy and straightforward to work with. We also hired them to do our ceremony and cocktail hour and I loved that we could rely on them for all of our music needs. When they wedding day came they really delivered. Danielle's voice was just beautiful during our ceremony. She even learned a new song for me! Then when our guests moved into the reception they got the party going right away. The vocals and instruments sounded fantastic. Also their set list was great, all songs people know and love that had everyone up and dancing the whole night through. I had so many guests telling me that they were the best wedding band they have ever seen. I cannot thank them enough for such a wonderful evening! One final note: while we were taking pictures around the grounds I could hear them practicing our first dance song over and over and I really appreciated that they were so intent on making sure they got it right for us. My husband and I recently got married in San Diego and were fortunate enough to have The Mighty Untouchables play at our wedding. Although every part of our wedding day was very special, the one part that our guests still talk about is how incredible the band was! You honestly have to hear them for yourself to understand how talented they are! I attended one of their free summer concerts a year before my wedding and I knew that we needed to book them! They were so wonderful to work with. Mark was always so kind and willing to answer any questions I had. Our wedding honestly would not have been the same without them. They knew exactly what songs to play to get everyone in the room dancing and their variety catered to everyone. My husband's 94 year old grandma even hit the dance floor! Towards the end of the night one of my bridesmaids pushed my husband and I up on stage and the band was kind enough to let us sing and party with them! We had the time of our lives! We are the parents of the bride, and this was our third wedding for our last child to be married. At our first child's wedding we had a local legendary band that was 3x's the money, and all of our guests who attended the first wedding thought it was the same band. Danielle and her crew were simply amazing. They played all types of music and satisfied the folks in their 30's up to those in their 60's.
