They have a ton of seating (inside and outside) so there were plenty of places to wait comfortably. The groceries were on the pricier side so we ended up not getting anything else, but I respect that they're paying their people a living wage.

The store is small but has a ton of veggies, fruits and baked items. They also make sandwiches - we had a BLT on the most delicious bread made to order. So good! They also have a bathroom (if you've been on the road awhile this is always a great find). The prices were really good. Huge pumpkins for $6 (wish we'd bought one) and we got a bunch of items including cucumbers, the sandwich and chips for under $20. The woman working there was super nice. She even gave us some lemon grass to dry and use in a tea. I wish this were closer to home as their meat selection looked fantastic but we couldn't buy meat mid-way through a vacation hours from home. Definitely next time though!

I've gotten introduced to so many new items (garlic scapes & pea shoots) that make meals at home so much tastier! There are various CSA options and pick-up spots ~ and the farm itself is beautiful and welcoming (and they have such a sweet dog!) The farm stand always smells amazing and they play the nicest music. It's a great place to stop in and grab a hostess gift (fresh sourdough, cheese, canned spreads, etc.) Throughout the seasons they offer "pick your own" berries and flowers for members, tours and other events - it's just such a great place to be a part of :) Thank you to Keena & the crew!

What were once incredible apple pies overflowing with apples are now a shadow of their former selves having shrunk in size. They also cost more. So it is less for more. Same with the donuts. They are now more like mini donuts. More of, less for more. Don't mind paying more because of the Biden inflation. But do mind the shrinkage in size.

I made my way all the way down to pick up an empty carton and head to the blueberry field to try my hand at picking wild maine blueberries. the heat and sun is no joke so definitely stay hydrated and wear sun protection. thinking it wouldn't take that long, it took me a good 40 minutes to go from an empty carton to the full one. it's a pretty rewarding experience because the blueberries are so good, but it does require you to crouch down in the field to pick so it may not be the right adventure for everyone. make sure to scan their venmo or put some cash in the bucket as a suggested donation for the blueberries. let's go back to what I came here for. WOW. the legendary fields fields wild maine blueberry crisp exceeded all of my expectations as both a blueberry lover and a foodie. quite possibly one of the best desserts I've ever had, and definitely the best dessert I've had this year. you get the texture and flavor from the crisp, the sweet, tartness from the wild maine blueberries, and if that's somehow not enough, paired with the refreshing coolness of the scoop of vanilla ice cream (it was hot out) to bring it all together. I wholeheartedly recommend this dessert to anyone. I got the regular version, but they also have a vegan version (no ice cream?) and also everything is gluten-free. forever haunted by how good this was, I got this cutie sticker at the window for $2 to commemorate this experience. I believe they had it on a shirt as well at one of the other tents but this lil guy spoke to me.

As well as a variety of hot herbal teas for $3, they had wild blueberry crisp AND vegan wild blueberry crisp (I'm not entirely sure what the difference between the two is minus whipped cream on the non-vegan one) for $8. And they were really satisfying portions! AND IT WAS THE BEST BLUEBERRY CRISP I'VE EVER HAD. I opted for the vegan one and wow. WOW! It was overflowing with warm, jammy-yet-whole local blueberries covered in an oatmeal crumble. Everything was sugared and seasoned in a way that let the blueberries absolutely shine (and do all the heavy lifting), which personally I prefer! It was one of those Maine-in-a-bite kind of moments. If I could explain this incredible state in one flavor, this absolutely would be it. So, if you ever come across Fields Fields at an event GET YOURSELF A SQUARE OF BLUEBERRY CRISP (probably get two, one for right then and one for later!). Where else would you get a chance to frolic in the fields with tiny creatures who's just trying to enjoy some fresh produce as much you. Picking your own food is also fabulous for a cheap meal. They know for every 1 that made it into the basket, 2 went in your mouth. It's accepted loss so stop covering it up, you're not fooling anyone. Such a typically Maine thing to do in summer. Oh, you can pick your own peas here too! Just remember: - June is strawberry season, - Mid-June is pea season and - July is blueberry season. Can you remember that? Sure...I knew you could ;)
