Bowery Haven Snackshop So you are wandering around Fishlake…read moreand realize you are hungry. Now what? There are no sit down restaurants left after Covid and pickings are pretty slim even fir takeout. Luckily there is the Bowery Haven Snack shop. What to like: fresh faced young people taking your order and handing it to you directly when it's done. Most of these folks are college kids from local schools up for the summer to work. Remember that when you tip! They all seem very happy. Burgers. A variety of burgers freshly made to order on a tasty fresh bun. Fries cooked in beef tallow. You can substitute macaroni salad but the fries...Remember how great these were back in the day? They also have a good chicken strip dinner and fish n chips. They have salads as well. Not to miss is their delicious lemonade is multiple flavors and fountain drinks. Top everything off with hand scooped ice cream and believe me the scoops are very generous. The only downside is that everything is a little pricey. However when you consider any alternative is 45 minutes away and the great people, it seems worth it. Plenty of parking and lots of nice souvenirs and fishlake clothes to browse while you wait. Highly recommended.

We love staying at the bowery every summer! The food is so good and the hotels look so amazing…read moreafter the remodel! Honestly there aren't many other places I'd rather stay in Fish Lake! Fishing off the shore at the bowery was also amazing! I think we caught almost 60 fish in one day on the free fishing day in May! I don't want to tell you to go because i don't want you to take all the spots!

We didn't…read morewant a second night of our tent almost collapsing on us, so we booked a last minute cabin. We would have been so grateful for just bare bones accommodations, but what we found was so much more awesome! Lynn was so welcoming and extremely helpful with places to eat, etc. The cabin had everything you could need and was clean and secure and also just a darling experience. The whole place is so gosh dang cute. Bed was comfy and clean. Fire pit outside is an awesome addition even though we couldn't use it due to fire restrictions. Free drip coffee in the morning was so good that I didn't even want a latte - though they do have a full service espresso bar available on site! You'll also find cute postcards, tumbled rocks, maps of the area, local geological facts and stuff. You can hang out in the reception/coffee area, which had seating and outlets. They have laundry downstairs (we didn't check it out though). And the whole property has free wifi! There are SO many amenities here for dogs as well!! I wish we had ours, but they hate going on the road, so we didn't get to take advantage of the dog park, wash station, or in-room pet blankets. On top of their cabins/casita, they also have tent sites and RV and van sites. One of the absolute best stops we've ever made on the road! Don't forget to hang out with Debbie (meow).

The young woman at the office was super friendly and helpful in getting us settled. Although they don't have a dedicated RV dump station, she said it was fine to use the water and sewer hookups from any of the unoccupied RV sites. An added bonus was having not one, but two food trucks on site, as well as a coffeehouse in the lobby. Our cabin was very comfortable too. Highly recommend!

Fuck these owners. They are extremely disrespectful. My family has been using this place for many…read moremany years. First all their bullshit charges for having our families friends who were camping at the unrelated cap site for knocking on the door to let us know what the days events are going to be (yes even not entering the cabin at all you get charged per person)(also there is zero cell reception so knocking on a door is the only option) Second they have a rule about not having animals inside a veichle. I had my dogs inside my car because I was at the camp site and had to go talk to my parents staying in the cabin and that got them a charge THE DOGS DIDNT LEAVE THE FUCKING CAR and there was not a sign when pulling in about the dogs cant even be in the car third they treated me with such a level if disrespect when my parents were checking in and I made sure that my disabled mother was going to be ok with the rental they told me multiple times "hes not welcomed here with those dogs" even after telling them I'm just making sure my disabled mother is able to get into the cabin and is going to be ok. Fourth the Cutlery that was provided to my parents that was in the cabin was not clean and they have a huge sign that says that they charge people when the items are not cleaned from previous tenants Moral of the story is we will never be using their services again and instead will camp at duck creek. The group we go camping with is about 30 people so this will be lost money for burger barn, the general store, and the camping grounds

I usually do not…read morewrite reviews for hotels but my experience was so unusually bad, I felt compelled to ensure others know what to expect if they book with the current owners of the Ponderosa Inn. I was absolutely horrified by my experience and ultimately had to forfeit my reservation and seek alternative accommodations. This is a self check in hotel, but you are dependent upon them to send you the code that will open the door to your room. That never came and I waited in the rain in the cold for hours. The Phone number in the lobby attached to the name of some lazy toothless imbecile named Archie, who doesn't answer the phone, was no help Whatsoever. The incompetence, the complete disregard for paying guests, and lack of apology for such egregious non-service is a slap in the face. NEVER GIVE THIS ESTABLISHMENT YOUR $$.

Keep in mind we were traveling and this stay was set up weeks in advance. I say this. Ponderosa Inn is a lie!! They also run other properties in the Utah area. Beware!! They will rip you off and leave you stranded with no place to stay. DONOT book the Ponderosa Inn in Escalante Utah!!!
