Like, 100% changed my mind and needed to have the wedding there. From day one Victoria was AMAZING in helping us budget, plan, and coordinate the wedding. Their list of recommended vendors was a literal lifesaver in picking out the key people in the wedding. Victoria was checking in and keeping me on track throughout the whole planning process. The space is gorgeous. The house has a bridal, groom, and family suites upstairs to get ready in. Downstairs is a nice area for cocktail hour. The ballroom was large and beautiful for our reception. There are also many places outside to have a ceremony! They were so flexible in allowing me to use the space in a way that made sense for us. Everything is so personalized and unique to your wedding. Now, if that wasn't a 5 star review in itself the day of coordination might as well bump it up to a 10 star. On the wedding day Victoria made sure I was 100% stress free by organizing my vendors, keeping the bridal room calm, and doing every behind the scene thing you can imagine. The wedding was outdoors overlooking the Blue Ridge Mountains and it was a cold November day, so Victoria set up a hot chocolate station with blankets to keep our guests comfortable. During the reception she made sure my husband and I were eating, drinking, and having a great time. They were even flexible enough to extend the reception for an hour because everyone was having so much fun! I couldn't ask for a better wedding. Biggest Mistake of My Life…read more My fiancé and I were scheduled to be married November 7, 2020 at the venue. However, due to the global pandemic and steady rise of cases across the nation, we would like to postpone our event to the fall of 2021. We both are honest, hard-working individuals (healthcare professionals in fact). We do not want to (and will not) put the safety of our friends and family in jeopardy to host our special day (both of us are blessed to have all grandparents still living). We certainly could not live with ourselves if our wedding was the cause of an isolated outbreak of COVID-19, causing significant morbidity and mortality to our guests. Therefore, we contacted the trivium last week to explore our alternatives. However, we shortly discovered the venue is scheduled to be sold in 2021 and not booking future weddings. It is undetermined at this time as to whether the estate will reopen as a wedding venue. After admitting the venue could not accommodate our needs, the owner (Heidi Baker) refused to return our initial deposit. The owner proposed she could reschedule our wedding to January of 2021 and delay the closing of the venue. However, this did not accommodate our needs. In my professional opinion, postponing a wedding scheduled outdoors to January is nonsensical. On a further note, annual influenza season peaks between December and February which would increase the risk of severe health complications among our guests. We are simply seeking the refund of our initial deposit so we may secure future wedding arrangements. The initial deposit would certainly go a LONG way on future preparations! If you are looking to book a venue for your wedding this year DO NOT consider this venue.

We toured over 10 venues in our area before finding Cedar Oaks Farm, and truly nothing else met…read moreboth my and my husband's standards -- especially not at such a fair price. Every other venue was double the cost, and still didn't compare. From the breathtaking Mountain View's to the immaculate getting-ready suites, we knew right away this was the one. The staff was kind, responsive, and helpful from the very beginning, and they worked with us to book immediately after our tour. We ended up driving 2.5 hours for our wedding here, and I'd do it again in a heartbeat. It was booked far in advance (for good reason!), so we didn't get our original date -- but we were thrilled just to get in. We ended up with a July wedding and the weather was perfect. Yes, it was warm, but we planned ahead with fans as favors, and no one cared once they saw the view. The venue itself is clean, beautifully maintained, and laid out so thoughtfully. The getting-ready spaces for both the guys and girls were by far the nicest of any venue we toured. Everything felt peaceful, elegant, and easy. Our guests were in awe -- they made a weekend of it and kept telling us it was the best wedding they'd ever been to. Out of 200 invited, about 120 came, and the entire day felt just right. If you're looking for a venue that's stunning, organized, and elegant -- without spending $10k just to book it -- Cedar Oaks Farm is absolutely the one. Went here just the other day on a foggy morning with some friends. We all got some lattes (cookie…read morebutter and some honey ones). They were the specials for the day I believe but they were delicious. The atmosphere is very laid back and relaxed which is nice and they even have these cards for getting to know people. Ultimately just a great place to go grab a coffee with some friends or someone new! Also the staff were friendly and the color scheme inside was also a nice touch! I knew it was by the church as well but it is a part of it as well which was cool to see!
