Great selection of merchandise and friendly staff. It is sad so many MN loons have no tolerance for opinions, which differ from their own.

Every…read moretime I pop in, I find something new--whether it's cookbooks, cards, puzzles, kitchen gadgets, jewelry, clothing....you name it. The selection here feels endless in the best way. Allow yourself some time because the store is pretty big. I especially love coming here when I need a gift or something Minnesota-based as they always have unique, MN-feeling items that hit the mark. It's the kind of boutique where you can happily wander and browse for A WHILE. I haven't had much interaction with staff beyond checkout, and I've noticed they don't typically come out onto the floor--at least not during my last couple of Thursday visits during Marketfest. That said, checkout has always been smooth. Highly recommend if you're in the area and love a good browse through a thoughtfully selected mix of finds! Also, highly suggest joining the rewards program and checking out the clearance section while you're here... there could be some great deals tucked away!

There are 3 parts to this store and you owe it to yourself to experience them all! I started in the style area, which is the clothing part of the store. This is an upscale women's apparel store, with habitat, Liverpool, Johnny Was, and many other upscale brands. All of it is beautifully curated and displayed. You will have fun browsing the racks. The sales associates were super helpful and knew exactly how to interact with people--making customers feel welcome, but not pressured to buy. Downstairs, there is an amazing sales area. Don't miss this gem! Bargains galore and beautiful things! I'm sure it changes regularly. Then stop at the cafe and have a coffee, pastry, or freshly baked cookie. All the treats look and smell delicious. The staff was very sweet and service was prompt. After that, continue shopping at the Good Things gift shop. This is a top notch gift shop the likes of which I rarely see. It is brimming with themed displays for almost every interest or occasion. If you can't find a gift here, you may never find it! Seriously. You can wander in this shop for an entire morning and still not see everything. I hope you stop by Good Things. It's a fabulous shop. Locally owned. Go there for your next gift.

My husband and I were shopping for grand kids and 1 great grandbaby. The kids wanted shoes and watches so really there were a few customers about 20 or 25. Anyways we made to the shoe department, and we started with the girls and of course my husband he needed help anyways we got all the girl's shoes and I mention to my husband we need a buggy so I found one took me a few minutes when I turned around and I see this guy starry at me did not think nothing of it. So, I went where my husband was put all the boxes of shoes in buggy and we started with the boy's shoes all of sudden I see the same guy again I told my husband we are being watched by this fake security guy he goes yea I know. So pretty much mush we were being followed. This guy was like a leash So, we were done in this department, and we took the elevator down to go get the great grand baby clothes and watches for the kids then my husband tells me there's another fake security guy on your left I said what the effing shit it this. This was the most uncontrollable experience that we ever had we are in our 60s what the hell we don't have to steal we have jobs. These two idiots they were like LEASHES. At one point i was going to say something but I would be wasting my time. Then we go to cash out and there's no cashiers in front or the back we had to go to the Sephora makeup area oh my goodness, :( Let me give you a tip on your security have them dress neat clothes and not walk like clowns. As far as your cashers well you need to hire more. Will I come here again NO. :( I will be at the Rosedale Mall No Stars

There was only one register on the lower level and the cashier was not friendly at all. The customer before me asked if she can pay her JC penny card there and the cashier told her to go upstairs, but she ended up taking the customer's payment anyways. She didn't want to do her job nor did she act like she cared. Why do they hire people like this and not see a problem at all? A smile goes a long way.... Train your workers with basic customers service skills if you're going to hire them!!! The dressing rooms were also messy at the beginning of the store opening. The workers act like they don't want to work there. One manager came and did apologize after I stated my complaints. We waited over 45 minutes for check out. This business is going to close down soon. I can foresee this and wouldn't be surprised. Worst customer service I have ever experienced at a department store. Kohls and Macys are in the same mall and I did not experience this over at their stores. Good bye JCPenny!

I cut through Kohl's to get there. It may have been the first time that I have visited a Kohl's and didn't buy a thing. I probably shopped so such at various Kohl's stores throughout the Twin Cities on this vacation that I was good by the time I hit this store. I like when Kohl's is attached to a mall. You can enter and exit the store without going through the mall. This store does not have a built-in Sephora. However, it does have a number of strengths. I like the clearance section for women's clothing. It is next to the Croft & Barrow clothing. The clearance section has some decent deals if you enjoy finding gems and heavily reduced prices. I am such a fan of small kitchen appliances. I spent quite some time looking at the PowerXL stuffed wafflizer. You can stuff waffles with whatever fillings you'd like. It looked insane, but it intrigued me. The Hallmark section is a staple at all Kohl's stores. This one is no different. Valentine's Day merchandise was out in early January, featuring Snoopy. I didn't really need another puffy coat or jacket. This store had long, light puffy coats that looked nice. It would have been cool if each one had a two-way zipper on it. I feel that my expectations were set way too high here. Kohl's tends to have sales all the time. The deals are great, including the ones at this store when I was there. Curbside pickup is also available. You head over to customer service to fetch your order. It's a clean store. I enjoyed browsing around. Whenever I'm back in Maplewood, I'd drop by this store again and perhaps buy something before I hit FYE! (37)

We let her know the employee came out and said nothing. She told us that we should have heard it on the sound system outside. Also nothing communicated over sound system. It was very disappointing to have been waiting and be the next in line and then told we can't donate. The employee who came out before close could have communicated verbally or with body language that they are not taking vehicles anymore instead left us all there hanging.
