The one that was there that was snooty ( until she realized I had money to spend) is no longer there . The staff now are nice and I have had good experiences. The take away for staff should be .. don't judge a book by its cover . I come in looking ragged sometimes because I have to dress up alllll the time and sometimes when I shop I like sweats and sweatshirt. Good Things is a gem and always a must-stop for me when I'm bopping around White Bear Lake! I haven't had much interaction with staff beyond checkout, and I've noticed they don't typically come out onto the floor--at least not during my last couple of Thursday visits during Marketfest. There are 3 parts to this store and you owe it to yourself to experience them all! I started in the style area, which is the clothing part of the store. This is an upscale women's apparel store, with habitat, Liverpool, Johnny Was, and many other upscale brands. All of it is beautifully curated and displayed. You will have fun browsing the racks. The sales associates were super helpful and knew exactly how to interact with people--making customers feel welcome, but not pressured to buy. Downstairs, there is an amazing sales area. Don't miss this gem! Bargains galore and beautiful things! I'm sure it changes regularly. Then stop at the cafe and have a coffee, pastry, or freshly baked cookie. All the treats look and smell delicious. The staff was very sweet and service was prompt. After that, continue shopping at the Good Things gift shop. It was a little messy as in products are displaced on the shelves, some have fallen on the floor - typical environment for these kind of stores. Staff members where available throughout the store, but they were more focus on putting out products or ring up customers and move onto the next. It's retail, it's busy, it's understandable. You can definitely find gifts for value. I saw some holiday gifts that I would come back for. Otherwise, they have lots of clothes, beauty/spa products, toys, suitcases, snacks, perfume, bags, and more.

The Maplewood Mall location is definitely underrated, in my opinion. Whenever I go, the sales floor is always clean and ORGANIZED. The put the higher priced, fashion pieces at the front of the store and the everyday, low priced items in the back. The merchandising makes the shopping experience a lot more enjoyable.
