There's several trails that go throughout Baxter Village. The Carolina Thread Trail also has a segment here which is what we did. We parked at the library and hiked to the Catawba River. It was about 5.5 miles round-trip and pretty flat/easy. It's a pretty nice trail that goes through several neighborhoods, but it's still pretty secluded. We went early in the morning which meant that it wasn't crowded either. It was a nice option for a different trail close to us.
