Another momo spot in the east!…read more Storefront looks bright but the inside was rather humble and serene, typical to Momo restaurant (I like it). What I like here was their having beef Momo on the menu. (many east side Momo places have chicken and veggies only). I ordered (take out) #1. Jhol Momo (chiken) #2. Fried beef Momo Good that I ordered Jhol Momo. The gravy was the best that I have ever had. Mellow, smooth and creamy, with rich/multi-dimensional spice kick! The fried beef momos were perfectly deep-fried to enclose generous amount of stuffing. The stuffing was a bit onion forward which was not my preference (I prefer meaty kick!) but it was seasoned perfectly. I also liked the accompanied sauces. There are two sauces (yellow and red) , both were well-rounded and delicious. Red one had fresh and fruity tomato flavour and I liked it a lot. The sauce is definitely a strength of this place. One thing that I want to emphasise (not only Momo Boyz but also all dumpling places) is the importance of careful transfer of food to container, when it comes to take-out order. Many momos had broken skin and I am sad to see the juice is running out and pooled in the bottom of container.

The service is also very welcoming and they come and ask for your feedback on the food. We also got their chicken lollipop and I thought those tasted yummy too!

It's savoury, very flavourful, well prepared, and nicely presented. On this visit, our group sat on their spacious patio, recently opened for the season. Our evening started with cocktails and live entertainment. Refreshing. Great start! That was followed by their delicious appetizers and mains, all beautifully presented. * Pani Puri * Vegetable Tandoori Momo * Vegetable Steamed Momo * Chilli Chicken Momo * Wai Wai Sadeko * Dragon Chicken * Chilli Paneer * Chilli Chicken * Sekuwa Chicken * Vegetable Chow Mein * Vegetable Thakali Thali * Mutton Thakali Thali Our choices included veg and non-veg selections and we enjoyed every bite. Everything was flavourful and more than satisfying. Delicious! For special events, they have private banquet facilities on the lower level that can accommodate up to 150ppl. It includes dining tables, bar, a stage, three large projection screens, sound system, buffet setup, and washrooms. It's perfect for special occasions or business meetings.

The servers are wearing traditional garments and there is beautiful artwork on the walls . Friday - Sunday they even have live music. They have a large space in the restaurant for parties and events. After speaking with the owner, I found the upstairs event space can accommodate 50 patrons and the downstairs hall can host 200! Wow. Now onto the exciting part; The food. We ordered a couple different dishes and shared Dahi Puri Chicken Choyela Chicken Steam Momo's Chicken Chow Mein Thakali Set - Mutton Paratha I'm a huge Dahi Puri lover. This version blew me away... The flavor profile was perfection. ( My friend LOVED this dish as well. ) Next up were the Momo's. They're known for their Momo's. I do prefer a steamed Momo, so we went with steamed chicken. The portion size was quite large and the dipping sauce paired well; they had so much flavor. The next appetizer dish was one I have never had before; Chicken Choyela. I generally don't enjoy crunchy / textured foods but my friend quite enjoyed the puffed rice addition of this dish. The chicken had a unique flavor, unlike anything I've had before. It was solid. Their Chow Mein is another dish that they're known for. I seem to prefer noodles over rice these days. (But, I'm generally disappointed with most places noodles.) These were SUPERB! They had a smoky flavor to them and were a 10/10. I've had Thali but never a Thakali. While similar, they are different; We chose the mutton option. This dish was incredibly tender and bursting with flavors. Dish after dish impressed us. This spot hits all the right notes and is a definite must visit if you're in the area. My friend was so impressed, he's already planning his next visit!

Food 4/5 Service 4/5…read moreAmbiance 4/6 Food: We ordered the meat platter, salmon momo half plate, & sho-go momo. For dessert we had the deep fried banana. Everything was delicious & freshly made. We really liked the sho-go momo (potato & onion). The deep fried banana is good too. Not too much batter which I liked a lot. I would definitely eat here again. Service: It's a little slow because there are only two people running the restaurant when we visited. They both were doing the cooking & serving. Hubby & I didn't mind because we weren't in a hurry. I think they should have some waitstaff to help them out. Ambiance: It's a clean restaurant. There are prayer flags strung up from the ceiling. The music they play sounded like monks chanting. It's a very relaxed vibe. On a hot summer day it was nice, breezy & cool inside. It felt nice at first but I started getting cold after a while. Their bathrooms are in the basement & we're also clean. The ceilings are a little low in the basement so you have to watch your head. All in all it was an enjoyable lunch. My favourite was the sho-go momos (potato & onion).

Well today I finally decided to make good on that promise and while I was not blown away it was a positive experience overall. The first thing I noticed about the menu was how many momo options were available. A lot of different choices from your basic chicken/beef/pork to butter chicken momos so lots of options. I ended up just getting a half plate of steamed pork momos along with the chilli chicken. The momos were pretty average in terms of taste even when I used the sauces provided. Perhaps the fried version would have been better but I definitely was underwhelmed with this one. As for the chilli chicken, the flavour was decent and for those who love saucy dishes like me this one is not saucy at all. I asked for a 5-6 on a scale of 10 for spiciness and it definitely had a bit of a kick but nothing too spicy. In terms of taste it was decent however I found the chicken to be a bit on the dry side but not too bad. The folks there were super friendly and overall service was not bad. The food arrived quickly too which was a good thing as I was hungry. There was plenty of seating in the restaurant and it was spaced out nicely so it was comfortable to be in. There were a lot of cabinets with different items in them so it might be interesting to look around while you wait for your food. Overall, I enjoyed the visit and will definitely come back to try other items on the menu.

The use of traditional elements, paper-cut window designs, red Spring Festival couplets, old-style newspaper wall coverings, and exposed brick adds a strong sense of nostalgia. It feels immersive and intentional, almost like stepping into a countryside home in Dongbei rather than a typical restaurant. The décor isn't fancy, but it's rich in cultural detail and warmth, perfectly matching the hearty, comforting style of Northeast Chinese cuisine. The space is unique and perfect for taking photos. The food here is very generous. We ordered the 4-person set with two side pots. Tomato Braised Beef Brisket and Chicken Stewed with Mushrooms and the portions were huge. Both pots arrived steaming hot and filled to the brim, clearly meant for sharing. The braised beef was rich and hearty, while the chicken pot was comforting and full of flavor, making it perfect for group dining or cold weather meals. Combined with the rustic, traditional décor, it really feels like authentic Northeast Chinese comfort food. The food and atmosphere were excellent, though the service was a bit lacking. Prices are reasonable for the generous portion sizes and the unique restaurant décor.
