Hi Everyone. With only two weeks into taking over the New Meadow of Saucon Valley, I would just like to say that I will strive to make The Meadow a Premier Wedding and Event center. With over forty years experience as a Chef, my goal is to achieve quality- fresh food, warm ambience, friendly attentive service and a memorable day for our highly regarded guests. I can only suggest to those that have been dissatisfied in the past, to welcome Chique Catering and The Meadow as your new venue. As with any new venture there are glitches and reputations to overcome and The Meadow is an extremely busy banquet and catering facility. There is no stopping, just moving forward. Food is terrible. It was much better several years ago. Not worth the trip. The buffet is fairly expensive for the quality.

My husband and I had a wonderful dinner at The Meadows last night! White table cloth service and live music! What a treat! The Buffett was set up with the Meadows team serving to allow for social distancing. The food was very good and the service was excellent. We loved the music and were able to request a few songs I highly recommend Meadows - they are hitting all the marks during this very tough time. read more

Was a great place to have our wedding. The staff though was very in your face. They had no personal boundaries. Also there was a ton of pollen all over the deck and eating area. Would of been nice to have that swept up before the wedding. Food was amazing esp the dessert buffet. read more

As a manhattanite, I can be quite picky but this place must be the world's worst. I weekly dine at five star restaurants so I expected this not to be anything special but OMG....seriously junk. Yesterday I attended my God Sister's wedding, and yes I realize it's PA in the middle of Hickville but why even have a place of this nature still open. Now putting my snobbish tendencies aside, the place is seriously run down. No valet parking (like I would seriously let them touch my car), a ladies room that looks worse than a rest stop. It was so hot & humid in there, plus the sink had scalding hot water only. (People are not washing their hands...hence the food poising cases) And the food....was what prisoners must eat. The "beef" was serious road kill....no joke. I attempted to taste what was on my plate. I think the place takes advantage of the area and the people who book events here. Seriously gordon Ramsey should come here....if you go here for anything eat before and don't order a badly made martini. Side note the bartender uses her bare hands to touch the olives. Went on someone elses whim, but that was a terrible mistake. Let's start with the entrance, you first walk in they have awards for being the 'best banquet hall' in the area back in 2007, 2008, 2009. If they were recent, awesome. But these are from 7+ years ago and to me as a customer that just screams that this place has gone seriously downhill and it surprises me that they are okay with giving that impression to people. Looking up to the ceiling in that very same entrance hallway, were tons of cobwebs. It's basic cleaning, that's not that hard to do. It luckily didn't kill my appetite but that's kind of disgusting. While the employees were nice, we waited about 15 minutes to be seated. There were two women and a young man who each in turn asked us our last name for the reservation. The one lady came back 3 times to ask what our last name was forgetting that she already asked us, before telling us we'll be seated momentarily, and the other two asked us as well. There was literally no communication between the staff. But otherwise they were generally kind. Once we were seated and went to get our food, about 10 of the plates on top of each other were all dirty and we had to ask them if there were any clean plates as there was dirt and little bits still on them so they removed those ones and left us clean plates. Now, while they have an okay variety in food, that doesn't exactly mean quality. Nothing really stood out, and a lot of it was just plain average. Most of the food was OKAY, however, the stuffing was a little slimy, and the apple pie was terrible. Those were really the only two not so great things I ate that were below average there. Overall, I absolutely would not recommend this place unless maybe they were to get a complete renovation and re-worked the way they prepare their food. While the cost is cheap, there are much better options in this price range in the not too distant area providing a nicer place, better service and better quality of food. Like someone else said in their review, unless Gordon Ramsey stopped here, I wouldn't go back. read more

This review should be 1 star but I gave it two because the scenery is nice outside. My family and I ate here on mother's day. Oh man the food was horrible, wasted $20 for cold and tasteless food & small selection. The decor was outdated... needs a serious upgrade. Barely average food that is drowned out by rude, incompetent staff. We held a family occasion here & the bartender had no social skills whatsoever. She was quite frankly horrendous and mean to the kids. Quibbled over an extra cherry in a Shirley Temple - in my entire life I have never been to a place that wouldn't give a kid an extra cherry. They were also walking prospective customers through the room before our event was over and cleaned up way too early. Mediocre grounds surround the place. Go anywhere else if you can help it. read more

I don't know about weddings, but.... the Monday "Atlantic City Buffet" is just plain terrible. What an injustic to the real "Atlantic City Buffet." which we have eaten many times. The lettuce was wilted and brown, there was no real varity of meats, except dry chicken that tasted like it was leftover. The grill outside was something else! The hamburgers were pre- cooked and kept in a vat of water floating with grease and then heated on a grill. When the kitchen helper came to add more lettuce and rice pudding we noticed that the plastic containers were not clean. Then she dumped the old lettuce on top of the new and mixed it up. It was dark & dingy. Yikes, that was our first and last visit. Our party of five had one word for this experience - awful! read more

Went to a wedding here a few months ago. Beautiful wedding, great band that came with the venue. The location was beautiful outside with the field, porch and river flowing by. However, the inside seemed a bit dated and was pretty dark. I remember the bathroom wreaking when I walked in [which isn't necessarily anyones fault other then someone who went boom boom in there], and you'd think they'd try to prevent a stench a bit. But food was mediocre, pigs in a blanket were dope. Thats about it! read more

I won vouchers for the Meadows buffet and still don't think it was worth the trip. First of all, I was given 2 drink vouchers at the door and was told that the "ladies behind the bar would be able to help me." During the entire hour we were there, there was never anyone behind the bar. There was just water, iced tea, and pink lemonade sitting in coolers on the counter. I had checked out the menu online ahead of time and I don't recall seeing anything at the buffet that had been mentioned on their website. There was one kind of meat when we arrived (baked chicken) that looked very pink in spots. There was one pasta dish that was bland and mushy. My mom and I tried a bit of everything that looked remotely edible and either found it disgusting or underwhelming (we are both far from picky eaters). I figured the dessert would at least help fill me up, but I was wrong. All they had was cake and rice pudding. Being from PA Dutch country, my mom is a fan of good rice pudding. She had a spoonful and pushed it away from us; I also noticed that there were a lot of other bowls of barely touched rice pudding on other tables as well. The cake was bland and dry. read more

You get what you pay for. I went to a HS reunion here. And, for the price, I think we got good value.

Took my family for the Thanksgiving buffet. Food was OK. It was like a buffet that you would get at Golden Corral. The hors d'oeuvres we good. The desserts were delicious. The main meal was ok, but not great. The turkey was more like sliced meat that would be on an open faced turkey sandwich. The ham was alright. I think the cheese in the mac and cheese was like cheese-wiz. The sweet potatoes looked like they were previously frozen and had mini marshmallows on top. The staff was friendly and the room was clean. OK experience. read more

Went for Easter bunch and it was terrible! Price went up (way to much for what they had), beverages no longer included (how cheap can you get? Juice & iced tea used to be included), the ham was skinny and nasty (I almost spit it out). Must be new owners. The food used to be good and have sugar free dessert items. Even the Easter Bunny was not there like other years. I am so dissapointed. We were also celebrating a birthday. Never again. I feel robbed. read more

What a dump! Decided to try their Easter buffet. My husband and I could barely eat anything. From the wilted lettuce (and we were one of the first reservations) to the fake mashed potatoes to the fatty ham. YUCK, YUCK, YUCK. Even the unsweetened ice tea was pathetic. The best part of this meal was when it was over, which was 20 minutes later. After which we promptly drove to a nearby fast food establishment to satisfy our hunger. We kind of had a bad feeling about this place when we were greeted (if thats what you want to call it) by a "gentleman" in a dinghy t-shirt who asked for payment right there (which was outside of the entrance door). I now know why they ask you to pay before you eat. No one would want to pay a cent after eating that slop! read more

We had a reservation for our family for the mothers day buffet and we arrived at 2:00pm. The food was a terrible disappointment. The majority of it was very cold. The menu said they would be serving NY strip steak and it looked like pulled pork and had no resemblance of steak in appearance or taste. The corn on the cob was ice cold to the touch. I would never dine here again and I'll be sure to tell everyone of our horrible experience. What makes it worst is we paid almost $20 a person for this horrible experience. read more

They have horrible customer service and the food makes everybody I know get sick after eating there. There are better places in the area to hold parties or events with better food, customer service, etc. read more

We recently hosted a wedding at the Meadows. The food was great. 2 weeks before the wedding they were having a problem with the air conditioning and the day of the wedding it was not working at all. The reception hall had to be at least 85 and the bathroom, well over that. Most of our guests left before the cake was cut because they could not take the heat. The DJ that they suggested, Mr. Finger was awful. Lost all the music and pictures we put on a flash drive, not once but twice and the bride was filling him in 15 minutes before the wedding ceremony. He did a terrible job. The morning of the ceremony we were told that the cake could not be decorated as we had previously arranged two weeks earlier. The chocolate fountain was runny and would not stick to any of the items they served with it. All in all, a not what we were promised at all. read more

We just attended a wedding reception at a pavilion in a public park, and had expected a simple picnic-y meal because of the venue (didn't know there would be a caterer).. What we had was a fun meal that fit the bride and groom's multicultural guests. Grilled chicken with veggies, steak, pigeon peas and rice, followed by a Sundae bar and pastries. YUM!!! They used different food stations and movable tables to keep the meal flowing, and flowing and flowing. The veggies were crisp-tender, the steak perfect, and I want the recipe for the rice! I eat here often for the M-W buffet when I'm in town. The food is so-so (much is warmed over, but what's wrong with leftovers?), but the value could not be better. For $7 you get a buffet with salad, soup, drinks, desserts, and about 6 entrees (including a great vegetarian mac and cheese). There is also a nachos station and appetizers. They often have Karaoke and Mike the Magician. read more

I just had my wedding there over the weekend and the experience was absolutely wonderful! From the delicious food to the excellent service I would recommend the Meadows to anyone of my friends or family members! Also the cakes are scrumptious! The food was horrible. Over half of my steak was fat. The "top shelf" open bar isn't actually top shelf. Guests were charged for top shelf liquor in mixed drinks. The staff was very rude to me and to others. One of the servers dropped an entire tray of food under the head table and it landed on one of the bridesmaids dresses. It was awkward being put into another wedding's reception while we were waiting for our ceremony to start. You would think a private space would be arranged. It was a beautiful location... that's the best I have to say about it. Despite the venue, we had a great time. I am just happy that we all have a sense of humor and can laugh about these mishaps. read more
