Everything about it--the drink menu, the obscene amount of quality whiskey offered, the jukebox, the owner and staff, the patrons. Probably one of my favorite bars in Greenpoint. The place is cozy and the bar tenders and owner are all really nice here. They actually make conversation and chat with you and are really pleasant. I'm not much of a whiskey guy but the beer selection here is great. I also love the free jukebox they have in the corner. I've come here at different points throughout nthe night and while it does get busy it never is absolutely packed (which I like). If you are in the area I'd recommend stopping by for a drink. I can't say enough good things about this place, it's truly a gem. I only found out about it a few weeks ago and have been back three times since. The bartenders and owner are genuinely friendly, which is a real change in comparison to some of the other local bars in the neighborhood. The atmosphere is great too, tons of light and open windows. The Moonlight Mile has become one of the chillest spots in Greenpoint. It has an extensive list of fine whiskey and bourbon as well as some unique microbrews. They have done a great job with the space, a lot of windows which lets in the sunlight during the day and cool breeze at night. Call me simple, but there really isn't much more I need out of life than to spend a balmy summer night watching the neighborhood through an open window as if it were a TV screen, whiskey cocktail in hand, from my favorite corner seat at the Moonlight Mile. Doesn't matter if you're a regular or a first timer, the guys are going to take excellent care of you to make sure you find something, be it beer or whiskey or wine, to make your night enjoyable. Great variety of flavors to be found in the cocktail list and a selection of beers that always has a new brew to be tried. Not to mention the free jukebox is filled with some of the best tunes from the last 50 years. Gonna miss coming to this place as frequently as I have the last year of living right next door, but even as I move north to Queens there's no doubt I'll be back many more times in the future. Soooooo, I run past this bar all the time while jogging. Recently, I was asked to attend a business meeting here on an early evening. The weather was mild with a brisk breeze that made it perfect for their large windows to be open. My business date and I ordered the White Walker and the Ned Walker (White Walker and Ned Stark mixed together). Both of the cocktails were FANTASTIC! The ambiance was stellar, the bathroom was clean, but above all, the customer service was unmatchable! I could have sworn I actually saw these bartenders smile when we walked in! Yes, ladies and gentleman, there is still a bar in Greenpoint that employs smiling wait staff to tend to you in exchange for paying them money and tipping them 15% to 20% of YOUR hard earned cash!! Noah is one of the bartender gems that I have seen the last few times I have stopped by (yes, I came back!) He is so hospitable and kind and his White Walker is a mean one! Nice place with an excellent wine and cocktail list and jute box. I felt however one of the people working there cared about playing his own music when the jute box jammed up but thats okay. My only quam about the joint is that it didnt feel like it had any personality, unlike the other places in the area. I guess give it some time. Very nice place to get a good drink though. read more

The first thing you notice when you walk in this bar is the aroma of wood. The feeling that you are walking into a whisky aging warehouse. It smells fantastic. This is only a place to enjoy cocktails with no real food. My friend had the sazarac. I do not like these. I hate anis. This one wasn't too bad though. I had the Rockaways. It was delicious. I love fresh muddled veggies in drinks and this one did not disappoint. There always seems to be a pretty chill crowd, both day and night (not to mention that this place is super pet-friendly so theres always awesome dogs just chilling!!).
