I always make time to stop here for burgers and fried okra!!! When headed down to see my parents I try and time it so I can stop here for lunch. The burgers are home made and great! You order at the counter, get you a drink from the cooler or get ice from an ice chest and then water or tea from the dispenser. Need extra mustard or ketchup you get that at the counter where you get the water or tea. I try to get my usual table but if someone is there there are 5 others to choose from. Bathroom is a one hole-er, each gender gets one, so there are two. The TV is playing video from old country music, not my old but my grandpas old, like Hank Williams and not Jr. This place is awesome. The decor matches. This is an old turn of the century store that was turned into a restaurant. There is alot of history here. Outhouse no longer used indoor plumbing was installed. read more

Stopped in on our way thru to the bay to enjoy a patty melt with cream gravy (something my husband introduced me to that I wouldn't have believed how good it was til I tried it). The food was great, the service and hospitality equally great and the fact that they sold beer and other cold drinks to go was also very nice. A cute country store and delicious home cooked food. Don't let the distance from town keep you from visiting. The only reason I didn't give five stars is the amount of time it takes to get your food. I ordered a burger and fries and it took approximately 30 minutes to receive our food. The burger was made with fresh beef and not frozen and as definitely worth the wait and the fries were awesome. I will definitely be back but will probably call in my order before I head that way to save some time. read more

Got a big order for me and buddies, which we called in ahead because it will take them a minute to get everything ready. Service was great they made she we got all our food and were extremely friendly. Pricing is great for the food also nice to have the convienence store attatched. Buger was great, tasted exactly as expected for $5 and the chikcne fried steak burger was also just as good. My friends enjoyed their steak finger baskets so I would reccomend those as well.
