The 1 time I got an attorney on the phone she was either a coward or completely incompetent and proceeded to give us no answers to a problem that they exacerbated. TL, DR - Who you choose as your attorney matters. If you don't expect any issues in your closing, then sure, enjoy the coffee and nuts. However, for the 99% of deals that have some sort of issue, you might want to hire a firm that cares.

I closed our…read moreproperty with incomplete work which supposed to be handled my owner's contractor & weissman gave the checks which I supposed to give to the contractor once the outstanding job is done. however as the contractor didnt fix a leak in the garage ceiling saying it may be too much work more than he anticipated, he disappeared without returning my calls. after a long time waiting I called weissman to reissue the check under my name, but the frustrating stupid part is that they cancelled the check they gave me while closing & reissued a check to the contractor directly without even checking with me. now I have to spend my money to fix a huge issue which should have handled by the owner.

O'Kelley & Sorohan assigned an attorney who was just admitted to the Georgia Bar in May (so barely 6 months ago), and the person's inexperience showed. The firm sent the HUD1 late, made multiple mistakes on the settlement documents, and had difficulty fixing them right the first time after I pointed them out. At one point, I was so frustrated, that I asked to speak to the Supervising Attorney. That request was not honored. Would never use them again.
